Direction for Hassan's Character on SmackDown

At least you can take comfort in the fact that he won't win it. Unlike last year's similar adventure with Benoit and Orton. -
Direction for Hassan's Character on SmackDown
Just John replied to The Mandarin's topic in The WWE Folder
I don't think we'll ever see "The Cell" back on SD. I'd rather he just tell everyone they were his white friends in masks, and then bash everyone for assuming they're terrorists because they hang with an Arab-American. That would kind of get his character back on track. I know I'll be in the minority, but I wouldn't mind if he kept those guys as bodyguards. Maybe not with the terrorist attire, but Hassan's "crusade" would be more believeable if he had some muscle. If he's going to get a title shot at Summer Slam, he needs to look like a threat who can hurt people instead of a whiny bitch that always cries about how he's being discriminated against. -
The "terrorist attack" on UT was just a victim of bad timing. From a wrestling storyline perspective, I thought it was great. And at Val being one of the terrorists

The Masterlock Challenge is an easy way to get 28 fantasy points. For that, I want WWE to keep him.
-
I think all 3 of them have been considerably less annoying since they started working together. I hope they keep this team for Raw. Anyway, on the topic of roster cuts... Is there a method in the cutting? Like do they cut x number of people a day between these hours, or is it all just spontaneous?

Wasn't Marty in jail for something? Public image might be WWE's reason to get rid of him.

Ha! Well, back on page 4 I said I hope the other Dudleys get released, though I might be the only who wanted them gone. I really don't feel bad about any of the releases, and most of them I'm really happy about. Either they're getting rid of total deadweight or giving workrate guys (Akio, Haas) a chance to shine elsewhere. And if it's to make room for Lesnar, so be it. I'd rather watch a Lesnar match than Dudleys, or Matt Morgan match.
-
He better go to SD. We need to finish that Benoit/Lesnar feud that got cut off in its prime. A Lesnar/Batista match would a be a nice powerfest. A Lesnar face run would give us good matches with JBL and an interesting twist on his return match with Eddie. Best news I've read in a while.
-
I think it's fine to speculate. Nine times out of ten, it's pretty obvious what they're building anyway. Surprises: Piper at WM 19 Bischoff as Raw GM in 02 HBK's heel turn this week No one saw those coming.

Suppose you died and went to heaven. As a wrestling fan, you get to set up your own show. You have every wrestler ever at your disposal in their prime, no risks of injuries, and no politics. What type of show do you book? To make it somewhat challenging, use each wrestler only once. On the flipside, say you went to hell. Satan pretends to be nice by inviting you to a wrestling event, only for it to turn out to be the worst ever. What are you subjected to? Edit - Results seem to be the in thing, so I'll include mine Heaven Card: (Lucha 6-man tag) Rey Mysterio Jr, Juventud Guerrera, and Hector Garza vs. Psychosis, La Parka, and Super Crazy (Rey pins Psychosis with the west coast pop at 15:24 to cap the back-and-forth, action-packed opener) Kanyon vs. RVD (RVD misses the 5-star, allowing Kanyon to put him away with the flatliner at 12:01) Chris Benoit vs. Ultimo Dragon (Both men work on the neck for their respective finishers. Benoit counters a tiger suplex attempt with the crossface for the tap out win at 19:55) Dean Malenko vs. Kurt Angle (Malenko breaks out of the ankle lock and gets the cloverleaf on for the eventual tap out at 15:13) Vader vs. Brock Lesnar (After lots and lots of power moves, Lesnar ends the match at 10:51 with the F5) Bret Hart vs. Eddie Guerrero (Bret makes Eddie tap to the sharpshooter at 25:21 to cap this back-and-forth classic) (WCW Triple Cage) Hardys vs. Dudleys vs. E/C (Gotta have a spotfest) (E/C grab the briefcase on top of the cage, but that's only half the battle. The case changes hands several times, but ultimately, E/C deliver a con-chair-to to Bubba as he's about to exit. E/C crawl to victory at 21:13) Chris Jericho vs. Owen Hart (Jericho counters a hurricanrana attempt with the lion tamer for the pass out victory at 14:44 since Owen wouldn't tap) Steiners vs. Haas and Benjamin (TWGTT works over the back of Scott for a good while, but Scott still manages to execute a top-rope DDT to Haas off the shoulders of Rick and takes himself out in the process. Rick gets the pin at 18:01) (Ultimate mind games feud) Jake Roberts vs. Raven (Raven attempts to DDT Jake, but Jake holds the ropes sending Raven to the mat. As Jake leans in to pick him up, Raven springs up and nails the even flow for the pin at 13:13) Shawn Michaels vs. Sting (Sting ducks the SCM and hits the scorpion death drop at 23:20 for the win) (War Games match to determine the best stable ever) The Original Horsemen vs. The NWO (Hogan, Hall, Nash, Syxx) (Flair makes Hogan tap cleanly to the figure 4 at 40:31) Hell: (Lucha 6-man tag) Rey Mysterio Jr, Juventud Guerrera, and Hector Garza vs. Psychosis, La Parka, and Super Crazy (30 seconds in, Scott Steiner interferes and breaks the ankles of Hector, Psychosis, La Parka, and Super Crazy. He then puts Rey and Juvi in the Steiner recliner at the same time for 5 minutes) An Entire Diva search competition (Lasts about 2 1/2 hours. Hosted by Jerry Lawler) Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart (Vince wins with the sharpshooter after telling Hebner to "Ring the fucking bell" at 30:25. Vince dominates most of the match) (Botched spotfest) Sabu vs. Jeff Hardy (Jeff goes for the Swanton, misses and breaks his neck. Sabu tries a spot with a chair but slips and breaks his neck after knocking out the ref. After 30 minutes of everyone laying immobile, the ref comes to and the match ends in a double countout) Masterlock Challenge (Masters challenges about 30 people in a row) Hulk Hogan vs. Roddy Piper (Both in 2005 form) (After 45 minutes of sloppy, slow brawling, Hogan wins with the leg drop, then poses for 10 minutes) Chyna vs. Asya (GM Stephanie McMahon turns this match into a "you must strip your opponent naked to win" match. They both go topless 2 minutes in... Then 50 minutes later, it ends in a draw. Viscera vs. Mark Henry (Viscera wins with a big splash at 29:12) (1 hour "reverse chinlock only" submission match) Albert vs. Billy Gunn Tied 0-0, the match goes to a 30 minute OT. It looks like Albert wins, but it's ruled that Billy tapped to a camel clutch not a reverse chinlock. The match continues for 4 hours and 30 minutes where Billy gets Albert to tap.) Then we're forced to watch the ppv replay.

True, that'd have to be a 4-hour special to work. Don't know who you leave off that list though. Probably means we'll see some gimmick 4-6 man title matches.
-
I won't rank them now, but a top 10 for me would include the following teams: The Steiner Brothers Road Warriors Arn/Tully The Dudleys Edge/Christian Harlem Heat The Outsiders Rock and Roll Express Midnight Express Rockers
-
I hope the Dudleys get released. The last time I was remotely interested in either of them was during the Reverend D-Von angle. They're stale and work the same routine whether they're faces or heels. The only thing they have going for them is a ridicuolously large number of title reigns. Get rid of them. I thought Matt went to ROH, but I might be wrong. Still, it's not like a Hardy/Dudley feud in TNA would destroy the WWE fanbase. Might spike buys for one TNA show, but that would ultimately have little or no effect on WWE.

Here's what I'd like to see: (WWE title) John Cena vs. Chris Jericho (World title) Batista vs. Eddie Guerrero (Battle of the Icons) Hulk Hogan vs. Shawn Michaels (Regular match) JBL vs. Chris Benoit (Brutal Gimmick match) Edge vs. Kane (Edge wins decisively) (Casket match) Undertaker vs. Randy Orton (IC title) CCC vs. RVD (US title) Booker T © vs. Muhammad Hassan (Regular match) Christian vs. Rey Mysterio (Tag titles) MNM vs. Monthly victims (CW title) Juventud © vs. Paul London Sadly, the IC title match and the "legends" match are the only ones likely to really happen, with an outside shot at the WWE title match.
-
That's too bad. I thought the Cena/Jericho really had potential. I like Edge, but currently he's stuck in the Kane/Lita angle and jobbing too much while Jericho and Cena look to have a heated feud going. Edge should wait. Another problem with this is that it's lose/lose with the MITB situation. Edge pretty much has to win after being "screwed" so many times, but Cena is the most over guy in the company and taking the belt off him would be a mistake this early.
-
Holly's got seniority. He's safe. Haas, Grenier, Stevie, Dean, and Tomko are iffy. I'd say Haas and Richards are the most likely to survive out of that group. Due to his roster positioning, you'd think Tomko would be in danger, but he's a hoss, so that helps him out. Simon Dean can survive with a new gimmick. If Chav, er... Kerwin White's new gimmick bombs, he should look out as well. If he can somehow manage to get over or get a partner, he'll be safe.

I'm interested in everything except the Regal/Morgan match and the Daivari squash.

Great spots from Wrestling Video Games
Just John replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Video Games
Here's some more ridiculous HHH moments. This all CPU vs. CPU that I've witnessed through Survivals and such. I've seen HHH beat Chris Jericho with the following moves: Belly to back suplex Forearm to the lower back Reverse chinlock I also got a cool spot in a BoD vs. HHH/HBK match. UT and Kane each get into special and do their respective finishers at the same time. UT gives Shawn the last ride and Kane tombstones HHH. UT pins Shawn, and HHH does that "try really hard to get up" motion, but Kane leg drops him as UT gets the 3, and neither HHH or Shawn get up after the match. -
Give me reasons to hate Shawn Michaels.

These two items contradict one another. -
Does that really matter? No DQ, street fight, no holds barred, hardcore, and ECW-rules matches are all the same thing in WWE.

IF the Angle DVD comes out... vs. Meat (Survivor Series 99, Debut match) vs. Val Venis (Raw in 99 or 2000, wins Euro title) vs. Chris Jericho (No Way Out 2000, wins IC title) vs. Benoit vs. Jericho (Wrestlemania 2000, loses both titles) vs. The Rock (No Mercy 2000, wins WWF title) Armageddon 6-man HIAC vs. The Rock (No Way Out 2001, loses WWF title) vs. Chris Benoit (WM 17) vs. Shane McMahon (KOTR 2001) vs. Steve Austin (Summer Slam 2001) vs. Steve Austin (Unforgiven 2001, wins WWF title) w/Benoit vs. Edge/Rey (No Mercy 2002) vs. Chris Benoit (RR 03) vs. Brock Lesnar (WM 19) vs. Brock Lesnar (Summer Slam 03) vs. Eddie Guerrero (Summer Slam 04) vs. Shawn Michaels (WM 21) Loads of extra stuff including segments with Edge, Christian, Steve Austin, and his KOTR explanation to Taka.
-
Why don't you sell HHH for this week then? Get Angle, Benoit, or two midcarders. Anyway, I'm expecting a pretty sports-entertainment-y Raw for the 4th of July. I hope Edge, Kane, and Lita continue their wrestlecrap angle of the year frontrunner. Does anyone think the writers will explain Edge's MITB situation regarding the World title? Or do they just re-write the rules as they go along?
