You sure it wasn't in Rio de Janeiro?

Jay: "I'm not going to stop loving you after I've been decaying in the ground for 200 years." Eleanor (Jay's mother): *Angrily* "Can't one dinner go by where we don't talk about your rotting corpse?"

I had Netflix send me the first disc. I went into the thing with an open mind. Not liking sci-fi, nor westerns, I didn't expect much. And that's exactly what I got. To me, it was very underwhelming. I loved some of the dialogue, the characters were intriguing, etc. But when it came down to it, I just couldn't get into the story.

Frank Caliendo. I was laughing my ass off at the Craig Kilborn Fan Club. I hate that fucker, and haven't watched his show for years now. I love MadTV, moreso than the majority of SNL from the past ten years.

I hope so. Brak Show's initial run was in 2000, so it's been a while.

I'm there!

They still do, just at the very end of the show.

And since Flair had his WWWF debut math on his DVD, Angle's must have the Tiger Ali Singh segment from Sunday Night Heat...

LXW's return date announced, and matches...
Placebo Effect replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
They flew out, what, fifteen guys for their first show only to end up with 80 people in the crowd? Plus, I believe they've yet to manage to put out a video of the show. And I have a hard time believe they'll be getting any XPW-like coverage when it comes to their DVDs. -
Whoa whoa whoa, let's not forget about the Brian Adams & Scott Norton v. Jerry Flynn & Fit Finlay match. Classic tag team action. And Norman Smiley vs Prince Iaukea Hey, this was the PPV debut of THE BIG WIGGLE@!@! Let's also not forget historcal matches like Ric Flair/Eric Bischoff, and Saturn/Ernest Miller, built up by having Saturn, dressed as Santa Clause, attacking The Cat. Along with that, I remember WW III having Cat and Oono picking up a win over Saturn and Kaz Hayashi, who I don't believe had purchased Glacier's suit yet. God, I need to buy some WCW TV tapes.

There HAS to be some reason why Philadelphia is suddenly getting no love from new indies. Fucking 3PW is drawing 400-600 each month now that they're back at the Arena, so there's no reason why MLW or LXW wouldn't draw well. Damn, damn, damn. -
Sting vs. Hogan, the most anticipated match in WCW history (well, for the crowd at the time) drew a 1.8, and considering that by Starrcade 98 the WWF was gaining momentum, yeah, it's a pretty good number. Compare it to a year later, where the buyrate sunk to 0.32, which is one of the many embarresingly low numbers WCW did towards the end.

ATHF is on DVD. Fastlane I used to have all the episodes downloaded. If you DL Kazaa Lite and just let it search continuously for an hour, you could probably get every episode. Off Centre, God, I wish I could find this show. Along with Do Over, it rocked.

Looks like a very fun show. I'll have to pick it up from someone.

I'm now watching the extras from the first DVD. This rocks, and it's only getting better since I have RR 92 to look forward to.

Do Meltzer, Keller, Scherer, etc. have day jobs?

I will stop being so pessimistic about the wrestling industry when TNA is out of business, and talentless hacks like Ted Annis and Trent Acid, currently only employed because of their bloodlines, are out of the business Trust me, from someone who has followed CZW since its inception in 1999, when they were stacking up Pyramid of Hell's in a shitty venue in Mantua, NJ, Trent deserves to be in CZW. Yeah, he's overrated, but that's because the guy has charisma, a great look, and longevity in the federation. When Trent came in at what was likely CZW's seventh show, he was a green lightweight. But, but, he was a green lightweight who was still better than 4/5 of CZW's shitty roster at the time. As time has gone by, he's improved immensely, and while I wouldn't pinpoint the 4/5 number with all the great talent CZW's been bringing in, he still DESERVES to be there because of his talent (not only in wrestling, but when it comes to charisma, connection to the Philly crowd, etc.). Looks like a great card so far. After some experiences dealing with Feinstein and Gabe personally, I care a lot less than a year ago. Hell, I learned today at around noon that my plans for tonight fell through. The event's only forty-five minutes away from me, and I'm in Philly eight times a month, but I still stayed home from it.

I looked around, and the cheapest place I could find was like $24 for a carton. That's about on par with what I'd pay going to DE.

Interview - GQ Money/"Devilish" Lee Handsome
Placebo Effect replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
When he wrote "More" that meant he enjoyed it wants to see more of the interview, just like myself. Great read. Don't really have any problems with the formatting. -
I downloaded the 12/17/03 NWA-TNA, and am just noticing how ungodly low it seems that Goldylocks chest sags for her age.
-
Awesome Choken, thanks. I pretty much downloaded every song off their three CDs, and from the few I've heard, great shit.
-
I assume I'd be a little out of place if I suggested that Endo and Dope's new stuff was great, huh?

After getting a beer bottle broken over his head two years ago, Austin sure is forgiving. -
