Gowen vs. Hardy is back on?
-
The 2000 Thunder was great. Nash was in full force with the asshole, funny heel gimmick. "Now boys (Steiner, Jarrett, Natural Born Thrillers), let's go down to the ring and have some fun... And that's a shoot!" Then there was Nash, just recently turning heel, siding with the fans in order to get a face reaction, then making fun of the fan's gullability. There was also tons of semi-shoot comments on Paul Orndorf from the NBT. They came out and held up signs, "Too bad your best match was against Vader," "Orndorff equals J.O.B. (Jealous Old Bastard)," and "Aren't you dead yet?" Scott Steiner stalked and beat the crap out of the majority of the NBT members throughout the night.

Muto always manages to get listed in the top 20 for some reason, even during years where he does absolutely nothing.

Rey vs. Moore for Cruiser. Not bad.

Why the hell don't you all just scrounge up $40 and buy a cable box off of EBay. All you need to do it is basic cable, and it works like a charm for WWE/NWA:TNA.
-
I have digital, so it's on channel 201. And at 8:00, it just starts up. My recommendation would be to call up your cable operator and cancel the order... Or, if you have faith in the show, call them up and ask for instructions.

For the fans who love these DE shows thanks to the hardcore wrestling and atmosphere of it all, yes, that is a big announcement.

I think the above report put that to rest. Bubba was pissed because she disrespected Tom and the Heavenly Bodies, and was screaming at her until Cole stepped in and told him that he told her to say the line. From the looks of it, that shut him up real quick as he raised her score.

X2 Deleted Scenes available to watch online
Placebo Effect replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
Well, I guess that's one step closer. -
I didn't notice. If that happened, they still brushed it off after that. If it's such a big deal to them to increase house show revenue, then it should be mentioned in the next week or two of TV, even if in passing.

Jesus Christ. I'm not the most professional photographer, but if you're doing a photo shoot with someone, you don't pick out the photos where a flash is easily noticeable, as it is all over Ivory's face/parts of her body. Idiots.

Did the WWE actually push the fact that Christian beat Booker T at a house show. They kind of brushed it off, and didn't make a big deal out of it being at a HOUSE SHOW, which is a big pussy job by WWE when you consider that they want to attract people to house shows then don't stress it happening there.

None really. There's photos of the show here: http://www.divinex.com/photos/respect My opinions: Cage - Decent enough. Explosions were nothing special, but the fans expect so much when CZW simply can't do certain things without problems from fire departments. Dahmer vs. Barr - Two faces against each other. Yeah, good idea. Heatless, but at least they're going to do something with Kastle, as Dahmer was pissed at him after the match. Frazier vs. Ruckus - What the fuck is everyone busting a nut over this for? Ugly match. Frazier and Ruckus think transitions are blocking and reversing kicks, which is what they did about six or seven times during the match. Sonjay vs. Storm - Storm did get a lot of heat for the accent. By comparison to Frazier vs. Ruckus, great match. On a normal scale, kind of blah at times. Minus one blown spot that was covered up nicely, it flowed nicely. Backseats vs. BSB vs. Rebel's Army - Nothing great, nothing bad as far as the wrestling goes. Ending was FUCKING HORRIBLE. Fans Bring the Weapons - Crazy shit. Necro spit alcohol into Bailey's face (which caused him to almost get sick from the taste), Necro having it poured into his eyes, a bowling ball being dropped on Bailey's chest, Necro being superplexed to the fucking floor, and lots of other crazy shit. Messiah vs. Corp - Usual deathmatch with a nice end bump. 200 Light Tubes - One of the best they've done. I like where they're going with this CZW/IWA vs. Hi-V feud. Should make for some good matches, and a great COD depending on where they go with it.

XPW NEWS: Support Rob & Lizzy, TNA dark matches
Placebo Effect replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Yeah, because God knows the fact that the government is going against every aspect of free speech by perpetrating this bullshit is not a good enough reason to support a scapegoat. Eh, if there's gotta be a scapegoat, ol' Robbie's the perfect one. If it was just the "freedom of speech" thing I'd agree- but the guy is a legit danger. Ask Luke Ford. I hope he gets the Jeffery Dahmer treatment in prison. What exactly are you talking about? He makes films about rape, degrading women, etc. all of which should be protected as free speech by the government. The thing is, there should be no scapegoat in this situation. Because if Bush gets reelected, and a Republican follows him, how long until more and more speech is censored? -

Were you to take a drug test right now...

Pot, alcohol, and an unperscribed painpill when my back got fucked up, so I wouldn't pass. -
Very good interview. Only thing I would've liked to see is if you had asked him about the charisma problems. If he's working with some of the more mic savy guys in Wildside, ROH, etc. about his mic skills, if he hopes to improve his facial reactions (which he desperately needs), etc. Other than wanting to see that, great stuff. Pinpointing exact events helps a lot.

Nash's Movie,Scott Hall and Booker T
Placebo Effect replied to SpikeFayeJettEdBebop's topic in The WWE Folder
With a possible career ending injury, Booker getting a fat check from WCW is a definetly a great thing. Considering that Stevie Ray was, at one point, making $700,000 a year in WCW, I assume Booker T also had a deal like that. So with this check added to it, if Booker's injury is career ending, don't expect him to be hanging around as a manager for Goldust or some shit to make money. -
This is getting ridiculous. MLW is the true defintion of Philly Lite.

The House Party Movies
Placebo Effect replied to JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan's topic in Television & Film
But it DOES have Roger from Sister & Sister in it, with his shitty hip hop band IMX as the "stars." His sister is played by one of the black chicks on UPN (a lot of help, I know), and it was pretty bad. -
No, no. Sean Morley needs a push. The name 'Val Venis', along with his ring attire, just has a general stigma attached it to it from years as a JTTS. The inneuendo shit does nothing for him, so if they want to do something with him, the first thing that needs to happen is the dropping of the VV gimmick.

And have sex with the fat chick... If the story is actually true, this is seriously fucked up. I'm going to pass the link around to some friends I know in higher places, and hopefully this will start to get some attention.

Conan was very funny in the 10 minutes he was actually on. They opened up the show with Conan already in his seat, so he asked the band to play his song. "You know, for the first time in almost ten years, I actually saw you guys play my theme song. I'm always in the back getting ready, and then I come through the curtain. Well, I gotta say, that was really horrible. It was way too long, and then you've got the zing-zang-zing-zing." He then had Joel, who was sitting next to him as his 'guest,' do the announcing for the guests that weren't going to be there. "Melanie Griffith..." "Now say 'Will not be appearing." And Joel did just that. I wish that they would've made tonight special and instead of cutting away to a bland rerun in May, they should've cut to a 1996 show or something. That would've been awesome considering I just got into Conan like two or three years ago. Did Letterman do an introduction or anything on his show?
