The OaO Arrested Development Season 3 thread
Placebo Effect replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
I can't wait. EW did a brief little review and gave the three episodes they were shown an A+. -
Edit: Already posted in this thread.

The correspondent segments on the Daily Show (like Ed Helms' New Years Resolution segment last week) are almost always the highlight of the two shows. Overall, however, The Colbert Report is better at this point. It could get worse with time though.
-
BJ Novak's "I hooked up with her on February 13th" was the highlight of the show. The combo of the hair, facial expression, and editing was wonderful.
-
In Rick Steiner's shoot he mentioned that John "Berzerker" Nord watched the door while Nailz choked out McMahon. And now we have a good reason why that character got dropped.

ECW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot

I believe Mikey went with Sinister Minister almost immediately upon returning from WCW. The one backstage politics story that I can recall off the top of my head is that Tommy Dreamer hated Corino and tried his best to keep him away from the main event. Corino talks about it in one of his shoots, and at one point actually says, "Francine was Tommy's girlfriend. Hopefully Tommy's wife isn't listening" is a serious tone of voice. -
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan & Goldust - Tag Team Champions?

I do. Wrestlecrap > Bland, run of the mill crap -
Did you idiots complaining about the gimmick actually watch Impact? It's supposed to be silly. Aries mentioned during the backstage interview that TNA officials told them to go out and get personality, and Aries took that as being told to get a new outfit.

Well, her friend stole his wallet, and for a brief second they showed the CTU keycard. I have no idea how they're going to tie that into things though.

If going to Long Island didn't entail going to Long Island I'd check this show out.

Apolo > Shocker Shocker showed me very little during his TNA matches. Apolo is at least big and semi-intimidating, and no matter how many times he jobs (to a certain extent), people still look good going over him.

I believe all God's creatures have a soul...except bears. Bears are godless killing machines!

There's five or six left actually. I loved they kept Kevin out of focus for most of that scene. Easily the best line of the episode.

Great stuff tonight, although a tad over the top with Michael being an asshole. "She's obviously aspiring to be a whore." "And then they make you drive them to church the next morning. I mean, gas ain't free!" Second base, followed by the wink was great.
-
This looks bizarre; there's definitely some Napoleon Dynamite influence in there. Should be pretty fun, although some of the gags look weak.
-
This time around I guarantee someone's going to attack them. And when it happens, it will be beautiful. I did, however, mark out hard when Kane came out all those years ago.

Hasn't it been 2 months since their last appearance? Well, two months of matches/angle involvement on Smackdown. I remember when I used to think The Undertaker's gimmick voice was great. After hearing him speak normally while doing BikerTaker, it just sounds awful now.

That acting by Booker T was great during that backstage segment with Long. I loved JBL's speech. Especially the "broom stick" line. The shadow over the top of his face kind of ruined it from a visual angle though. I'm so psyched for the Juniors. As long as they only stick around for two months, I'll love it.

A couple random points on tonight's show... - Whoever does the score for this show is fantastic. That opening scene was so incredibly tense because of it. - Some of the dialogue was badly dubbed throughout the show, which just kind of shows that even though UPN's a network they're still low budget. That's what happens when you shoot in a parking garage though. Some awkward editing tonight as well, like when "Jump Around" immediately switched over to the sweet music without any fade. - The scene in the church was beautiful. - I cannot praise this show's writing and acting enough. That twist with Veronica, Wallace, and Jackie was so God damn good. And then the twist they followed that up was a great pay-off. - I didn't really like the character, nor the actor, playing the guy who sung "Veronica" and had the girls in his hotel room. Just annoying and it seemed out of place in a show like VM. Great stuff tonight. I hope the ratings perked up.

I routinely missed the second hour of the last six months of Nitro because of Boston Public's first season. Had I realized it was so close to the end there's no way I'd have missed them. Once it's on in primetime you'll be able to download it a lot easier.

Goldylocks + cell phone store In all seriousness, I really enjoyed that month where Glenn Gilberti was built up as a World Title contendor. That led to the Battle Royal where Sabu eliminated himself and then was allowed to enter the ring again.

Awesome. Hopefully a format change for the show comes with this.

WON Notes - HHH rips Angle - Legends coming back

That's probably why they want to use Terry Funk as a main draw. At least this time they can have RVD work a match. They can pull it off. They either have or can get Sandman, Funk, Dreamer, Corino, Credible, New Jack, Da Baldies (for New Jack to destroy), cameos from Austin and Cactus Jack, bWo, Psicosis, Crazy, RVD, Spike Dudley (since he probably won't be coming to TNA), Kid Kash, Lance Storm, The FBI, Balls and Axl, Doring/Roadkill, Al Snow, Johnny Swinger, Taz, and Whipwreck. That could be a fun show.
