I'm loving this season. Finally got around to watching this episode last night and it was all sorts of fantastic. The various mysteries they're building up are awesome.
-
That new guy, Jason Stone or what not, was fantastic tonight. I'm digging The Colbert Report, but the interviews are awkward, what with Colbert playing a character and all throughout them.
-
I'm looking forward to it. I like big, bad, violent, explosion-filled action flicks, so I'll see this eventually.
-
Ahhh, okay then.

Holy shit. I loved this. It touched on everything stupid related to Katrina in the first act; the people who think it was purely Bush's fault, purely local government's fault, purely FEMA, very much from global warming, etc. Randy Marsh taking on the Dennis Quaid role was great. Whenever he gets to do a "STAN" it's always good. "With all due respect cliche dissenting Republican..." The penis on the map was fantastic. "I feel so... HOT" and "Don't be a fag." Cartman and Kyle doing the action finale for the Jew gold was just awesome.

Hahah. I haven't watched it yet.

OLD GLORY LEGDROP~!

Didn't Dusty turn on Rick Steiner to join Scott in the nWo? If so, I imagine the turn was done because of a combination of wanting to build up that feud and because WCW made wacky decisions on the fly just for the hell of it. Speaking of, did Scott and Rick ever have a conclusive match in WCW? The only time I remember them wrestling each other is during the two or three bullshit screwjobs they did with Buff Bagwell involed.

I will at Bloodrayne opening night. Incredibly stoned, mind you, but I'll be there.

Pick up Zombiez? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Haven't heard of that one. Do tell? I should probably note that if a move isn't one that I NEED to own (Ie: Dawn, Land, Zombi 2, etc), then 9-times-out-of-10 I will rent it and copy it rather than pay $25 for the original. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> http://www.yourvideostoreshelf.com/reviews/Zombiez.html Enjoy

Pick up Zombiez?

Figured I'd make this just for the hell of it. So far we've had the confirmed cancellations of... Just Legal (WB) - A decent law dramedy that was never going to find an audience after freakin' 7th Heaven. Canceled after two weeks. Head Cases (FOX) - You know a show's ratings are disastrous when reruns of Nanny 911 build upon the previous week. The first thirty minutes of the pilot was just A-W-F-U-L, nearly leading me to just delete it. Most TV audiences aren't as forgiving as me, so that probably sealed its fate. Likely canceled... Inconceivable (NBC) - Yet another show that looks to be gone after two episodes. I saw those episodes a couple weeks ago on a screener DVD from NBC, and was really expecting to enjoy it. I thought it would a David E. Kelly-like dramedy with quirky characters and imaginative storylines. The stories were fun, but the characters were crap, and so was timeslot. Production's been stopped, leaving NBC time to "reevaluate" the show, so yeah, it's gone. Sex, Love, & Secrets (UPN) - Did anyone else actually know the show existed? The advertising made it out to be a Denise Richards-lead drama, which isn't true, and even if it was that's a shitty marketing campaign. The star is Eric Balfour, from the TCM remake, the failed Hawaii, and long guest spots on 24 and Six Feet Under. Balfour is ratty, so it's hard to buy him as either a hairdresser or a former marketing man. The second episode got a terrible 1.1, and production has apparently stopped. I had some empathy for Sex, Love, & Secrets after the decent pilot, but Jesus Christ did they copy Desperate Housewives. There's a voiceover by a Mary Alice Young-sounding woman that tries to make the show out to be more intelligent than it actually is that is just annoying. Kitchen Confidential may have stopped production, but I won't write its obituary until I know for certain.

Spike giving TNA it's first Prime Time Special
Placebo Effect replied to Dangerous A's topic in TNA Wrestling
Awesome. -
Not really. Sure, they quickly went up the guest list and there were a few smarkish comments, but the segment accomplished what it set out to do. It was a funeral for the Dudley Boyz career, further established TNA's heels as being mutual friends, and added character to the formerly blander than bland America's Most Wanted.

Black sitcoms come right before Smackdown in regards to lowest ad rates
-
The other UPN garbage (Eve, Cuts, Love Inc) pulls the average number for the entire two hours down.
-
A 2.4 isn't too bad for UPN, but when you consider that UPN wants to get rid of Smackdown, things aren't looking good. Ironically enough, UPN's Thursday night line-up this week scored an average rating of... You guessed it, a 2.4.

What the hell are these movies?
-
It's a damn shame there's no reasoning for these matches to take place. They didn't even fly Primetime in for him to come down to the ring with Diamond and Young this week.
-
So what, Monty Brown is a heel now? Whatever the case Lance Hoyt looks like a motherfucking star, and it's a shame he's going to get fed to Brown at Bound For Glory. I love how they're building up Samoa Joe, and the Lyger video was cool as well. Once again, Bentley's a face now? Wasn't he a tweener/heel the other week? Lets not forget the fact that he has no character whatsoever. Jesus Christ. Having to segue a random Petey Williams attack into Sabin running in is a real negative to only having one hour a week. And why the hell did Petey Williams' music play when he was the one running away? Abyss crushing the tissue box = RATINGS. Has anyone pointed out to TNA that the Pounce and Gore are very much the same move? I didn't think it was possible to not improve upon Sonjay Dutt's ring outfit, but they did it. Are those ferris wheels on his thighs? Stop focusing on the "That Was Awesome!" sign. It's written with pen you dumbasses. AJ did not look very happy after that blown spot, and with good reason too.

Maybe it's Hyatte.

All All Souls Day was awful. I still contend that the bitchy girl at the beginning who yells at her handicapped brother was handing out blowjobs to the cast and crew to get that part.
-
I dug the third act of part four. It was mucho gory, a tad bit suspenseful, and . But then again, there was a lot of stupid garbage. While I love the ROTLD films, I'm not going to fault them for establishing zombie mortality. But while it does get tiring to see the same old headshots over and over again, a few shots to chest should not kill a zombie. Hell, stretch things and say that the heart or brain being destroyed will kill them, but shots to the chest are bullshit. The uber-soldiers were a BIG disappointment. By the time they got brought out, just about everyone that was going to die had died. That's the same problem one could have with Jason X, but at least uber-Jason was shown to be indestructible before he was ejected into the atmosphere. The characters weren't even characters. They were the goofy blonde haired girl (who is only goofy one time in the movie), the black kid, the regular guy, etc. Those ATV sequences were ridiculous, especially the random Godsmack song. The zombies talked too much. Period. I dug the gore though, and as I said before, loved the last third. And ohhh yeah, Peter Coyote rocks. As for Part 5, pretty much awful. I liked some of the humor with the Romanian thugs (although a lot of it was really bad), the Tarman ending, and a couple scattered bits. But for the most part, terrible. Using the actors twice, and even having Peter Coyote still be the one kid's uncle, was lame.

Whoa, whoa. What? I rarely watched Smackdown before tonight. This was pretty much my first Orlando Jordan promo, and it was one of the worst I've heard in years. Monotone and blank the entire way through.
