You can add Will & Grace alongside shows like Bernie Mac and Malcolm that are almost guaranteed to be gone at the end of the season. NBC will no doubt allow W&G to finish off its run, although I worry about FOX randomly canceling Malcolm around episode twelve.

It's not that NBC wasn't happy with its ratings as a whole. It's just that Buena Vista owns 'Scrubs,' so it costs NBC extra money to air the show. Plus, they've already sold the show for syndication. Or at least plan to. They really didn't need to give it another season. I'm happy to get it eventually.

Every season I try to get into a lot of the new shows, but by the time mid-season hits, I'm only into three or four shows. Looking at the schedules, this alien shit is getting ridiculous. ABC Commander in Chief - I'll give it a chance. Grey's Anatomy - TiVo it and watch it when I'm bored. Hot Properties - Almost guaranteed to suck, but I have to give Nicole Sullivan a chance. Night Stalker - Not exactly looking forward to it. CBS How I Met Your Mother - Typical sitcom with good buzz. Out of Practice - Winkler! Threshold - I don't like alien crap, but who knows. FOX American Dad - Was getting really good towards the end of its run. Arrested Development - Shame on everyone else. Family Guy - Of course. Head Cases - Adam Goldberg's character looks great. Kitchen Confidential - Nothing else to do after AD. Malcolm in the Middle - Download each episode every week and maybe watch it while on campus. Prison Break - Looking good... Reunion - Could be good. Simpsons - Of course War at Home - T-minus 'x' weeks until this is canceled. NBC Inconceivable - I have to see any show that takes place at a sperm clinic. My Name is Earl - Of course. Office - YES! Will & Grace - Download and watch it on campus. UPN Everybody Hates Chris - Has some great buzz Veronica Mars - Awesome show. Watched the entire first season over the course of a month. WB Gilmore Girls - Download it weekly. Just Legal - Could be good, although I doubt it. Related - I'll give it a chance. Twins - Yet another WB sitcom...

News on Video Game, New Talent,Unbreakable line-up
Placebo Effect replied to TNABaddboi's topic in TNA Wrestling
I don't play video games, so TNA can feel free to make whatever decisions that'll put the most money in their pockets. -
This is entirely unrelated, but I ordered DVDs from the ROH sale on the 31st, and I just now received them. Even though their office is only an hour or two away, getting them in three days is very impressive.

The death of VHS is coming very shortly.

I have yet to be truly educated on DVD-Rs since I have TiVo, and thus wouldn't bother investing in something I'd rarely use. Can you record over the discs once you record something? -
Did I miss Kennedy's jab at Jeff Jarrett, or did it just not happen?
-
Fuck.

Blah, blah, blah. On the entire new album there are two or three bits that are political. And if you're so close minded that you dislike a band when they change their wardrobe, which has no impact on their music, you're even more moronic than I thought.

I thought he was no longer a booker. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He isn't. Certain people just like to troll at every opportunity.
-
Ouch at the Jarrett jab. I may watch this week just for that.

WWE Reaction To TNA Commercials, Smackdown, more
Placebo Effect replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
I don't think they'll have too much of a problem doing that. I bet Spike packs this weekend's Velocity with TNA advertisements. -
By the way, I lied. Don't start spoiler threads without spoilers.
-
Early reports indicate that CM Punk debuts, defeating Nunzio in a non-title match on Velocity.

Anti-Gay protestors protest soldiers funeral
Placebo Effect replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Current Events
I love Fred Phelps. Every single thing he does in life, I disagree with, but he provides me with a monthly dose of hilarity. -
I hope you have a big Weekend Box Office Report
Placebo Effect replied to Hank Kingsley's topic in Television & Film
Even though it barely qualifies as a documentary, Fahrenheit 9/11 made $120 million in the U.S. alone. So... No. -
I went and did photography at a Seether show on Friday night. Since I've already seen them before, I wasn't interested in watching their whole set, but their setlist did have a cover of "Man in the Box" towards the end. Wish I'd been able to hear it. The vocalist is much nicer of a guy than he really has to be. He did guitar on the last song for the opener, and instead of just coming out at that song, he stood to the side and watched them. He was chatting it up with fans (and since they were playing, he'd have to scream to have a conversation), signing stuff, and even brought his lighter out when mine wasn't working.

More Chloe! She needs to use a gun again.

A&E screws up the Labor Day 24 mararthon
Placebo Effect replied to MarvinisaLunatic's topic in Television & Film
I'm fairly certain FOX just "rents" the rights out for a day to whatever network is willing to give the most money/free advertising for the new season. Thank God I have TiVo, as I only saw the last six episodes or so of the season. Even though it'll take the fun out of it, with me knowing how it ends, I'll still be happy to see those 18 episodes I'd missed. -
Official Fall Horror Movies Scheduale
Placebo Effect replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
I'm willing to travel to NYC to see the new Return of the Living Dead, but I really hope I don't have to put that much effort in to see it. And I think you're talking about this movie in regards to Satan's Little Playground (http://imdb.com/title/tt0380687/). This is going DTV (as expected and planned) on the same date. -
Both Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Corolla said that it would be funny when this comes out on Video , in the video stores someone might go to rent the Aristocats and pick this up by mistake. That would be pretty funny actually. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Discs will be switched all across the country. No doubt in my mind.

Add My Chemical Romance to my list. Yes, they have a terribly gay gimmick that is simply used to rope in angsty teenagers. I find their music to be really listenable despite that.
-
Sounds good. This reminds of the time WCW tried a cross-promotional deal with some lame American Gladiators-like show, but at least this time there's actually an audience that can be captured.
