Ebert's been in the business for thirty something years or what not. I don't blame him for not wanting to explain why a sequel to Deuce Bigalow is awful. Ohhh SNAP.
-
I would hope he's kept in the background as a manager. I don't mind him too much, although I only saw his first brief run during the weekly PPV days.
-
Those first two are God awful, and like Hard Justice, the other two sound like direct-to-video films.

Actually the National Lampoon DTV films are doing excellently. They've got sweet distribution deals with MGM, and then another contract with a company called Silver Nitrate. I believe Nitrate is financing certain projects. Either that, or they're handling international licensing. Just because something goes DTV doesn't mean it's unsuccesful. Most NL films spend at least a few weeks on the top DVD Premiere renters list. More and more films are being designed for, and released DTV, with budgets going well over $15 million. Those who assume make asses of themselves.

I watched Hardcore Hardcoming last night, and during the videos it was really apparent that a few of the wrestlers (such as Axl Rotten) were stoned out of their minds. Fit in with my state of my mind at the time.

That puts a smile on my face.

Doink returning will guarantee that I watch the shows each week.

CZW & Chikara Double-Header THIS SATURDAY
Placebo Effect replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in General Wrestling
I'm thinking about it. Both shows look entertaining. -
I wish it was playing in Philly.

My TiVo missed the first one or two frames, but here is what they said tonight. --- penned a "scatching stire" of our bumps on its hompage. You'll remember Nat'l Lampoon from Animal House and Family Vacation. [and that's it] There was a time when we'd be honored to have been satirized by the 'Poon. A time known simply as: 1975. Of course, we were intended to return the favor. And we will, As soon as they do something worth satirizing. -----

Jeff Hardy coming back; plus Internet DREAM match
Placebo Effect replied to Astro101's topic in TNA Wrestling
The only way TNA generally gets buzz is when they put on a fantastic ****+ match, so as much as L.A. Park coming back would rule, it won't happen at this PPV. I wish TNA would strike a deal for the temporary rights to the La Parka name, and then bring him in, even if it's as an X-Division comedy jobber. -
Great thread. A+++++++. Would read again.

"I think Mom needs a little Afternoon Delight." "How should I get it in her?" "I really don't..." "Maybe I'll put it in her brownie." "Hey!" One of my favorite moments of the show.

Jeff Hardy coming back; plus Internet DREAM match
Placebo Effect replied to Astro101's topic in TNA Wrestling
I have no real problem with Hardy coming back. I'd rather him not, of course, but he has both name value and doesn't have the stigma of Gunn and James as a WWE reject. TNA is smart to do this with Daniels. Everything they're doing right now means shit come October, so they might as well work the Internet crowd. -
This is the kind of stuff that makes me laugh whenever people get excited about some news tidbit that the WWE is building up its cruiserweight division. No matter what is said, the audience is going to get cruiserweights working like heavyweights, matches that don't go above ten minutes, and nothing over ***. I stopped caring a long time ago. Just watch TNA in the Fall if you're pissed off about this.

Tombstone: The History of the Undertaker
Placebo Effect replied to Slickster's topic in The WWE Folder
Rumble '94 Casket match! That's fantastic. -
Because it was the WWF in 1994.
-
I think that Tatanka is delusional and this is just either a very short term or a legends contract. If he's back full time, awesome. I'm bored with almost every performer WWE puts on TV, so if they want to bring back Tatanka, One Man Gang, The Barbarian, and IRS, it'll only inspire me to watch the shows more often.
-
In their defense, didn't Jarrett hit a sloppy Stroke after the blood had come down? I might be wrong though.
-
That's the point. I love a great wrestling match, but for crying out loud, learn to have some fun. I get WWE Jukebox partially because of the absurdly ridiculous content that they'll occasionally put up, and an Oz match is just that.
-
That's a sure money maker.

Chaz Warrington?- didn't he take part in the Headbanger's reunion with Thrasher making it onto the battle royale at Armageddon 99, involved in the Hardcore battle Royale at WM16, backstage vs Gerald Briscoe at Judgment Day 2000, and then formed Lo Down with D-Lo... was involved in the Dudley's invitational at No Mercy 2000, was then repackaged as an Indian with Tiger Ali Singh, removed to Puerto Rico after the Royal Rumble 01 and released late 01..... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes Mr. Sarcasm, you're right. I was a WCW fan until the very end so I thankfully didn't catch much of Lo Down.

I stumbled upon a tape a few months ago where the liquid dropped down on Nash as he was in the entranceway. Only problem is that he wasn't standing in the right position, so it barely touched his shoulder and he had to throw himself towards the blood.
