WWE to sell unreleased theme music on iTunes
Placebo Effect replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in The WWE Folder
It looks like WWE had nothing to do with this. I don't think Jim's with the company anymore, so this is probably just him selling off music that he composed, but the WWE doesn't own. On a third read, it looks like it may be WWE, judging by the "they" at the end. -
Last Horror Movie, while not a traditional horror film, is pure genius. It's out on video now. The majority of the films put out by MTI until their Redrum label (http://www.mtivideo.com/redrum/) are worth a look if you can forgive low production values.

When Did You Stop Watching On A Regular Basis?
Placebo Effect replied to Chazz's topic in The WWE Folder
A few weeks after the Booker T/Bagwell fiasco, when I officially gave up on the Invasion. Interestingly enough, the only time I turned into Raw every single week was during the trainwreck period where Nash was feuding with Triple H. -
http://themovieboy.com/directlinks/05aloneinthedark.htm First review. This appears to not be going pretty.

Damn. I never knew Seth was supposed to be on one of the 9/11 flights.

ROB BLACK & co. vs. US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
Placebo Effect replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
I didn't see a video link on the Extreme Associates page. Can you link me or point out where it is? -
I like Fairplay, but $100,000? Anything more than a thousand a show (if they feel the need to keep him) is ridiculous.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! It's a Uwe Boll film. Boll is a complete f'n hack. The only thing that separates him from Ed Wood is a little more fame for this stage in his career, and Boll's movies aren't anywhere near as watchable. The writers include a guy that wrote the screenplay for "MVP2 (Most Vertical Primate)", and two complete newbies. It's optimistic to expect it to *only* suck huge, floppy donkey dick. Boll directed a low budget, direct-to-video film called Heart of America that was damn good, so I'll give him one more chance.

ROB BLACK & co. vs. US FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
Placebo Effect replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
"You want to know what's obscene to me? A child getting fucked or a dog." - Black Children and animals are the two things Black has always said he'll never touch. XPW will never run again, and ExtremeAssociates.com (NWS) will always be there for crazy porn acts if you want to pay for it. Wasn't Rob Black the guy who was going to kill puppies on his website and made that guy who wrote at 411mania freak the fuck out and try to get him arrested? Yep. It was all a publicity stunt, and Jay freaked out. -
Ohh man, that's brutal. If it makes you feel any better, she's just another one of the countless female pop vocalists out there with flashy websites that will never get signed to a record contract. What was the name of the singing group The Nitro Girls formed a couple years ago after WCW closed?

I'm actually going to go see Assault today or tomorrow. Looks like a fine little b-blick. And I am excited to see Alone In The Dark, simply because every website in the world seems to interview Uwe Boll, and he always says that Alone in the Dark will show him to not be a horrible director. If the film is at least a 5/10, I'll be satisfied, but I somehow doubt it.

Loved the movie. Didn't like a couple elements, but it was still hilarious at times and nicely dramatic.

I enjoyed it, overacting aside.

YES!!!!! Thank God. The First Amendment will continue to be protected. There's a line Black said. Something to the extent of, "I'm the test case. If you can't prosecute someone for making a movie where a girl blows a guy, and then he stabs her, how can you prosecute consentual wife and husband condom sex?" I actually did a speech about this two weeks ago when I had to do a 10 day Public Speaking class for college. -
Simon's gimmick is that he disagrees with everything conventional. Like some of the posters on this board.

Time to plug my new direct-to-video review website
Placebo Effect posted a topic in Television & Film
http://www.yourvideostoreshelf.com. I used to (and will begin to once again soon) write the column Your Video Store Shelf for 411Mania.com. If you've never read it, I exclusively review direct-to-video films, in addition to writing about the industry as a whole. While I know that some of you would rather gouge your eyes out while listening to Ashlee Simpson than watch the typical DTV movie, there are quite a few damn good direct-to-video films out there. And while I can't tell you explicitly to click my AdSense ads, you know the deal. Hopefully it's okay to post this here. -
Especially if they have an off night.

WCW facts, tidbits, and stuff people forgot
Placebo Effect replied to JoeDirt's topic in General Wrestling
Once he beat Stasiak in the Boot Camp Match, he just went back to being Booker T. -
I'm going to see it with a girl friend of mine tomorrow night. Tried to convince her to do Sideways, but she wasn't going for it.

Goldberg definitely was in that Roddy Piper segment. And yes, it was fucking stupid, complete with John Tenta randomly appearing if I remember correctly. -
You know what's wonderful about TiVo? I have no idea what you're talking about.
-
Yes! That's fucking awesome.

Well, there's one way to pop up a guy's spirits after trying to kill himself.
