TNA Impact! in Philadelphia markets...
Placebo Effect replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in TNA Wrestling
And that rings true during any timeslot. -
Newsweek's story on the Kedwards campaign...
Placebo Effect replied to teke184's topic in Current Events
I just got it a couple hours ago in the mail. Haven't had the opportunity to read it yet. -
On Scott Keith's LJ, someone mentioned it as being Diesel, Razor Ramon, Ted Dibiase, The 1-2-3 Kid, Jeff Jarrett, Mabel, Tatanka, and Lex Luger.

At least The Naturals are still around.

Kanyon is retired if I remember correctly.

Holy shit. Link?

That was the first thing that came to mind when I heard about the show's storyline. I loved the Timecop joke.

WWE Release Gail Kim, Nidia, and Chuck Palumbo
Placebo Effect replied to spman's topic in The WWE Folder
What's very good is that the WWE set a new precedent by firing Nidia, a Tough Enough winner. -
Evan Karagias? I'm there.

MTV2 is becoming a basic cable channel
Placebo Effect replied to GreatWhiteNope's topic in Television & Film
I noticed that too, so I said "fuck it" and took it off my TiVo Season Pass list. My only theory for this is that... 1) MTV only had 10 year licensing rights for the music videos, so they've had to pick and choose episodes that they still have/have once again gotten the rights to show. 2) They're intentionally sabotaging themselves in order to justify never showing Beavis & Butthead again, as from the looks of it, MTV's new people at Viacom (well, new as far as when they bought the company years back) hate anything reminiscent of "old" MTV. -
WWE Releases Billy GUnn and A-Train
Placebo Effect replied to edotherocket's topic in The WWE Folder
What's great about Gunn (and Holly for that matter) is that they could/can easily have lifetime positions with the company. For whatever reason, the WWE always supported them... That is, until they got cocky and decided that they actually deserve anything more than what they got. -
I don't know how these guys survive. Their attendance typically sucks yet they're able to book guys like Styles, Abyss, and Luger. Maybe things have changed over the past few months.

WWE Releases Billy GUnn and A-Train
Placebo Effect replied to edotherocket's topic in The WWE Folder
No doubt in my mind, A-Train pissed someone off six months ago. He got caught doing something, fighting someone, etc. He went from being on Smackdown at least every other week to not even getting Heat matches. -
I believe Exodus joined the entire tour after 12 Stones dropped off. God, I wish 12 Stones were still on this tour. Earshot will get semi-accepted as they may be heavy enough live to pull it off. 12 Stones, however, would have been crucified and it would've been beautiful to watch. I will hopefully be at November 12th show.

I turned Drawn Together off after ten minutes. South Park was damn good last night. I'm glad I TiVoed it, because I went back and watched the "Vote or Die mothafucker" song several times.

Mad TV had an awesome skit during what I believe was the second episode of this season where they had her screeching out her unbearable lyrics until the record's producer turned on the "Pop Star Automatic" (or something to that extent) which made her voice sound like it does now. Just like her fellow pop stars, her lip synching isn't much in doubt. But the fact that it happened on live TV is fucking beautiful.

Weekend Box Office Report: 10/22/04 - 10/24/04
Placebo Effect replied to BUTT's topic in Television & Film
I actually want to see Surviving Christmas for some warped reason. -
I've been to more shitty indy shows that I can count. Despite having gone to at least 60 indy shows in my time, I've only actually been to three big promotion events, all of them being WWE. There was a WWF House Show in 1995/6 headlined by Diesel/Bret Hart in a Cage Match. I was too big of a mark back then to really give an opinion on it, but I remember Phineas Godwinn and I yelling at each other, with me actually thinking I had pissed him off. The second was a Smackdown taping where Billy and Chuck unsuccesfully tried to regain the Tag Titles from Hogan and Edge. It was also the first WWE appearance by Shannon Moore, and one of the first (dark match) by Mysterio. Lastly, a pretty run of the mill house show just before the 2003 Royal Rumble. It was headlined by the wonderful Scott Steiner vs. Triple H. The only good thing about the night was getting to talk to Scott Steiner and Jerry Tuite (The Wall, Malice) prior to the show. Steiner was kind of angry, as he is always is, but Jerry was very cool.

Best Damn Sports Show And TNA Team Up For 2 Specia
Placebo Effect replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
If the midgets land all their spots and the match is worked out right, then it may possibly go over well with some of the marks. TNA would be wise to showcase, whether it video form or in a match, their X-Division stars and such to show the sports fan tuning in (many of whom hate wrestling since it's not "real") that they're not as big of a joke as they appear to be. Not that I'll be watching or anything, since I've officially given up on TNA as of late. -
Since we seemed to have stopped at 23... 24) Stop sucking.

Triple H in "Blade: Trinity," anyone else thinking
Placebo Effect replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Universal Soldier II was just a bad decision on everyone's part, as that movie ws pretty much the fork in Van Damme's theatrical film career. -
Why do I even come into this thread anymore?

Recess is THE greatest animated show directed at kids ever. I've been loving Dilbert as of late. Oblongs, Home Movies, Baby Blues, and Brak Show rock, of course.

South Carolina may get rid of the minibottle
Placebo Effect replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in General Chat
Yeah. It was pretty good.
