Yup, and ROH. Just for ROH to run at Murphy Rec, they need the Philly Athletic license, and since the RF scandal broke, they've had to go through Rebel in order to convince the state to give them a license, and he keeps demanding match on their cards in return. And that's why I love Rebel. He's a fucking asshole and has no problem telling you he is. I remember him coming up to me in the middle of a match that Ruckus was involved in fighting one of his boys, and he says to me, "That fuck's already blown up."

Jack Dupp is the other team member, though I have no idea who the uncle was.

BloodRayne Movie Cast Finalized
Placebo Effect replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
Don't too excited. This is being directed, like a lot of the upcoming video game movies, by Uwe "House of the Dead" Boll. He's one of the few directors in recent years who started off doing direct-to-video stuff (He was responsible for the film Sanctimony if I remember correctly) and now has a Hollywood job. -
What's funny is that once Backlund got that character of the crazy old genius, he ran with it. He was at an indy show a few years ago, and some kids crowded him to ask for an autographed. He freaked out, just as you'd expect his character to do, saying that he wouldn't sign autographs for anyone who couldn't name all the Presidents of the United States in order.

Backyard Wrestling getting new outlet

The ten copies isn't hard to believe. Costs about or less than $1 to put together a DVD/VHS, and when you consider how much money they'll make off the videos, it's certainly dooable. They're just ASKING for a lawsuit, though. -
Weekend Boxoffice Report Aug 20-22

Meh. Without a Paddle is just a harmless, dumb comedy (and it knows it), while Exorcist is a boring piece of shit that was in development for over five years. -
I found The Rainbow Express, minus the random placement of Gertner, perfectly acceptable. Miss TNA, however, was terrible.

13 replies and no one bothered to simply go to 411. -
Yeah, there's a reason why Buddy Lee Parker is sitting on his ass at home instead of training wrestlers for the WWE. He was, for the most part, a terrible wrestler turned terrible trainer. He kept his wrestlers in top physical shape, but beyond that, did shit.

Anyone NOT switch over to DVD yet?
Placebo Effect replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
Since I buy so much material off of EBay, VHS is tempting, but I never give in. The last VHS tape I bought was from a flea market for a dollar. -
I wouldn't mind Fairplay being used. I just don't know what a proper role for him would be. When it comes to cursing, they simply can't do that on FSN. I'm watching the show right now, since it airs at midnight in Philly. The Kash/Dallas tag match was enjoyable, and with an extra minute, Jarrett and Diamond would have been too.

TNA News & Notes from the 8/23 Observer
Placebo Effect replied to QuestionMan's topic in TNA Wrestling
Well, it looks like this week will be Vito's last appearance if he's actually leaving. Of all the people to put over in your last (if your roughly fourth or fifth math can be considered "last") match, Chris fucking Vaugn????? That kid is fucking terrible. -
Yeah, it's a shame that TNA went and fucked up The Dupps because, minus the toilet humor, they were pretty funny. I absolutely hated the Ed Ferrera segment, though. Just way too long. Had it been short, I probably would've actually liked it.

That happens every week. Obviously, no one important who runs news sites actually watches Xplosion, thus why the Xplosion tagline is always there.
-
If I'm at home on Saturday night, I'll watch this show. What everyone's missing is that XXX faced The Naturals, which seems to suggest that this is a "warm-up" match for two teams.

What a logo. Well, no one ever said TNA isn't still catering to the Southern male fanbase. I'm glad they're doing $19.95. I was worried they'd try to do WWE-prices which would only serve to f them in the a.

I believe my friend and I laid sight to the first appearance of the fist. My friend, who is in no way a wrestling fan, questioned me a few times during the night, "Why in the hell is there a giant fist?" I've never been big on watching Smackdown. Don't know why, but even when ****+ matches were being busted out every week, I just never watched it. For whatever reason, I go out on Thursday nights more than Mondays.

Chris: I haven't been this confused since the ending of No Way Out. (Walking of theater) Chris: How does Kevin Costner keep getting work? -
I was laughing my ass of when the people started singing the Throw The Jew Down The Well. Awesome show.
