The Virgin Mary episode was far from the worst thing they've ever done. I'd hardly put it in the Top 20. Catholics just suddenly decided to join their fellow Christians in going batshit crazy over something stupid. I think the problem with last season, at times, was that Trey and Matt were avoiding pushing the line. I enjoyed a lot of the episode last season, but stuff like Free Willzyx and Marjorine just weren't up to the standard they've set over the years. What shocks me the most is that they're at 140 episodes now. It doesn't seem like there's been that many nor that the show's been on for 8 years.

I thought this was awful earlier, but really, it's not a gigantic, company-ending problem. If TNA can up their retention (the percentage of people who watched UFC and then watched TNA for the Saturday and Monday airings), then Spike will be more interested in letting it take the C.S.I. spot. Even though Spike didn't promote their primetime special, the fact that the rating wasn't much higher than the Saturday shows is pretty bad.

It was done last year. And yes, it was tough to watch.

They originally retired most of her characters, but have slowly brought them all back in because they found a new woman (Eliza something) to do the voices.

Hopefully he'll start fucking people up with the Lex Flexor again.
-
Exactly my thoughts. TNA not only gave him no reason to exist but also slapped ICP music with a person who is billed as a punk.
-
Well, that's it people. TNA is dead, done, and over with.
-
Depends on the replay. If the replay did .1 higher than usual, it doesn't matter. At this point as long as the ratings don't dip it doesn't matter how they're doing until the primetime debut comes along.

Is that a WCW promo picture?
-
Product placement plus Torrie managing to be unconvincing even when playing dead all in one segment? Fantastic.
-
I was about to make a post very similar to yours. On the plus side, at least two Natural Born Thrillers are making money.

Edge has been taking promo lessons from Gene Snitsky.

I fast forwared through most of the match, but you're right. At a point where D-Von's gassed to the max Bubba is just letting himself go. Although, admittedly, black is not a slimming color. That main event just stunk of pre-Attitude era television. The four main faces taking out the low-card heels who (minus Young and Skipper) have no reason or purpose of teaming together? It's one thing for the heels to have the eight man tags, but the faces doing it is just lame. Maverick Matt???? GIVE IT UP TNA. There seriously has to be perverted reason why he's still there. That Brown/Christian segment was the stupidest thing I've ever seen. There's a reason why The Ultimate Warrior didn't sit down and have a talk with his opponents. Character wise, he was fucking crazy. Monty Brown should be like that, but obviously to a lesser extent. He doesn't have the charisma to threaten someone in a suit. It's obviously Shelley's going to get squashed big time by Sting since he can't pick up a win over Dutt and Sabin. Great announcing on the fun Naturals match. First half of the show was good TV.

I don't think "smarks", and I hate labels like that, would deny the Wolfpack made money and say it "wasn't worth a damn". I think he's just pointing out that Luger's part in the Wolfpack was minimal at best. The big players when it came to the nWo becoming as big as it did were Nash, Hall, Hogan and, to a slightly lesser extent, Sting. Luger's part in all of that was secondary at best. His only major part came in the unmasking of Rey Mysterio angle, and that happened long after the Wolfpack had peaked. Other than that, Luger was primarily window dressing, while Nash and co were the ones given the main angles. Exactly why I said what I did earlier. Before getting injured (I think) Luger spent most of his time squashing guys like Sick Boy and wrestling in PPV matches with nWo Black guys that meant nothing.

You're a funny guy.
-
So no?
-
I didn't find it that funny either. Quite a few good bits, but the last half hour was painful and I don't think there was a single tremendous joke throughout the entire movie.

Philly's FOX News is typically very professional and flashy. Which is a shame, because I'd watch the news every night if there were constant production errors and the like.

CBS renews 14 series for 2006-07
Placebo Effect replied to Celtic Guardian's topic in Television & Film
CBS (households: 9.5/15, #2; adults 18-49: 4.2, #2) however got some good news in the former of "The Unit" (households: 11.5/18, #3; adults 18-49: 5.1, #3), which built off its "NCIS" (households: 11.0/17, #4; adults 18-49: 3.8, #T4) lead-in by 4.35% in households and a whopping 34.21% in adults 18-49. Even better, "The Unit" built its audience between half-hours by 2.66% in households (11.3/17 vs. 11.6/18) and 10.42% in adults 18-49 (4.8 vs. 5.3). Closing out the night then was "The Amazing Race 9" (households: 6.1/10, #7; adults 18-49: 3.8, #T4). -
I watched the first twenty minutes at the gym and I was tempted every second to change my view to Scrubs. I'll watch both episodes in full and watch next week's, but the 20 min I saw was awful and unfunny. The only good jokes came from the 13 year old girl, but let's face it. Making 'awkward 13 year old girl talks about sex' jokes isn't funny. The people who write for According to Jim can make jokes like that amusing.

Yes, Dear wrapped production last month and TheFutonCritic has a story saying the show is officially done. I wouldn't be surprised if Still Standing got a novelty renew so it could hit 100 episodes. -
Phhhhhh.... Heroes of Wrestling anyone?
-
Now what are they chanting?
-
Uh huh. All it takes is one good gimmick change and they'll be perfectly fine. So the Spirit Squad are staying microphoneded throughout the match?
-
That was funny. No, wait. It wasn't.
