PWS IS NOT A LEGIT NEWS SITE. THEY LIKELY MADE THOSE QUOTES UP, AS YOU CAN EASILY IMAGINE THEM COMING FROM THE MOUTHS OF SOMEONE ASSOCIATED WITH WWE. /thread

And let's not forget... http://smackdown.wwe.com/superstars/jones/index.html

And he's got the body of Avril Lavigne. This will likely be the only thing worth seeing. Thank God for downloads.

Wish they would've gone to kayfabe towards the end and brought up the losing streak.

HAHAHAH Great read, though I do beg the question of why Del continued to take steroids long after saying "Fuck it" to wrestling and selling the gimmick to Brandi. I know the addiction played into it, but the idea of him fervently searching, getting arrested, etc. for steroids when he wasn't even in the profession anymore funny.

Exactly what I was going to say. As for The Naturals, I like them. The Natural Disaster is a pretty badass finisher, and they certainly deserve another PPV opportunity. With TNA repeating itself now that they've got a TV deal, how long until The Disciples of the New Church is back in action?

Taken from another board and made more readable. Apparently, Sulley apologized for what happend on some radio station yesterday. He said the reason they got mad was because when SOTY took matters into their own hands by telling the people to come up front, the kids wound up trampling a pregnant lady, sending her to the hospital. Godsmack's manager confronted a member SOTY and told them what happened, and telling them that they did not have permission to do that.... One of the band members said, "I'll fucking do it again," not having heard about the pregnant lady. When he said that, SOTY got kicked out without pay. Godsmack was angry with SOTY cause they did not listen and for "breaking" the rules However, didn't appoligize for their behavior, but for starting the fight.

Chad Kroeger bitching that music piracy makes
Placebo Effect replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Music
Did you guys even read the article? I hate Nickelback and Kroeger. But Jesus, "604 Records executive," meaning that he's started his own label. That means he is allowed to have a legit concern for how the music business is going. For young bands signed to any label, filesharing is a fear. Even if they only lose, say, 5,000 sales to filesharing, that's still a lot. Don't sell enough albums, even if the album hit the Internet six months before your CD came out? Meh, dropped. Kroeger's dealing with six or seven new bands at the moment, and he's looking out for his own pocket, and the welfare of those bands signed. Nothing wrong with that... Besides for him being an untalented asshole, but nonetheless. -
Good report. I enjoyed it.

TNA Letting Fans Choose Who AMW Face On Wednesday
Placebo Effect replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
Fuck. The popups not coming up for me. Can anyone link me? -
I've been sporadically ordering the shows in the past couple months, but if I enjoy Impact tonight, then I'm definitely ordering it.
-
While I haven't watched the show, I have a big fucking smile on my face thanks to what seems to be happening. Let's just hope that Impact keeps up this kind of quality.

Anyone have an idea as to what that chalkboard represents?

Honky Tonk Man has a bone to pick with Mick Foley
Placebo Effect replied to Enigma's topic in General Wrestling
Who's better between the two isn't an issue. The issue is that from the looks of it, Foley blatantly lied concerning the guitar shot (I believe Honky for this one), and then put him down on a radio show shortly before an even more washed-up ex-superstar called in. I love Foley, but he's wrong in this situation. -
I'm sure they will. They've got all month.
-
Thank God. Now I won't have to hear you fuckers complaining about them every minute.

Impact! Taping Spoilers As They Happen
Placebo Effect replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
To people who aren't jaded smarks like ourselves, a six-sided ring is interesting. If someone at home is just a "meh" fan who maybe goes to the bar once a month to watch the PPVs and nothing more, he'll likely skip right over a four-sided ring Impact! just like he does Raw and Smackdown. But put a six-sided ring in front of him, and, at least for a few minutes, he'll watch. Also, networks don't want to air wrestling at the moment. If the FSN deal doesn't work out, they'll have tapes showing TNA to not be just another plain old wrestling federation. I'm not big on it, but from a business perspective, it's fine pending that the wrestlers get used to it. -
The word wasn't even difficult. Spelled exactly how it sounds. I spelled it right the moment I heard it. Fucking hilarious clip, though. Especially the :GASP: from the crowd and the little girl who looks petrified.

Impact! Taping Spoilers As They Happen
Placebo Effect replied to BoboBrazil's topic in TNA Wrestling
What the Fucking fuck? Looks like a badass show. Can't wait to see in on Saturday night. And I'm sure someone will pose this question after a while. I can imagine the big reason for guys like Brown, Raven, Sabu, James, etc. being flown in for the show is that promo pictures needed to be taken on the new sets, and they wanted all their wrestlers to become familiar with the area at the very same time to make it easier on them in weeks to come. If Raven's nonsensically being flown in to do a Dark Match three weeks from now, that's when you can scratch your head. -
Damn, damn, damn. I really want me some old All That (complete with Ross Perot and Pizza Man), but Hey Dude is, after all, Hey Dude.
-
That is still not the reason why Worldwide was so bad. First off most of the people there weren't your normal wrestling crowd(Universal studios allowed you to watch the show for no additional cost other than paying to get into Universal), so they didn't follow wrestling to a tee like most fans at live events. Thus the reason why the crowd looked dead half of the time. Much like what will probably happen this time around. I am actually unluckier than you as it doesn't start where I live(pittsburgh) until the 11th. Ohh yeah. I know that the crowds will still be pretty shitty, but at the very least, they won't be THAT dead. And with the recent news report that they're going to focus on the X Division, that's nothing but good news for them. For normal people who aren't completly turned off to wrestling, seeing guys flip and fly will go over half decently.

And Doug wins. Who are these tools that Nickelodeon has introducing shows? What the hell happens to them when they're let go?
-
Yeah, seriously. I loved the second album. So what, now she's gone from rap, to pop rock, to punk. Maybe she'll step into metalcore for the fourth?
-
While I don't want to go too into things because I'm basing much of my information on what I learned directly through working with a management companies, Maverick is the shits right now. They didn't work one ounce for SOTY until they got big (SOTY didn't even get a video off the bat), nor do they seem to be doing anything for late-2002 signee Still Naive, who have had their album pushed back time and time again because Maverick has so little direction at the moment. It's a great record company when they give a shit about you, but SOTY, similar to so many bands on big record labels, got the shaft until they were proven a commodity. Maverick is no where near the absolute mess that say, Elektra, is at the moment (after the sale and subsequent firing of much of their staff), but they're lost at the moment.

Brock has stopped going to tanning salon since leaving wrestling I see.
