  1. I have tried the Imus in the Morning "Fred's Southwest Salsa". It was fucking great, best I've ever had. Don't remember if it was medium or hot, but it rocked.
  2. We're in the middle of war, where the people we are fighting against would be as happy to kill you as they would George Bush, and your main concerns are civil unions for homosexuals and keeping public places free of anything religious? I guess it's nice to live in a blissfully ignorant world. Yeah, that would be a foreign policy vote for me.
  3. A couple of tidbits from the event in Harlem: Dean introduced Al Gore as the elected president; Al Gore said he was happy to be back in Harlem and that the last time he was there he played basketball... Nice.
  4. Well, now if Dean wins the nomination, he will be certain to LOSE the state of Tennessee...

    Chipotle

I went there soon after they came to Cincinnati--it sucked, no flavor and the lady behind the counter could not string two coherent english words together. I thought this thread was going to be about Chipotle in general, as a sauce or something. Now that I love. O'Charly's has this Chipotle chicken that is fucking terrific.
  6. I'm pretty much your worst nightmare: a saber-rattling jingoist who pays attention to G. Gordon Liddy.
  7. The Hobbit? Small time. Let him make 'The Silmarillion' and then I'll be impressed...

  9. This whole dime thing with Reagan is embarrassing. Just leave it alone, it makes the people doing this look bad. If it's successful, 20 years from now we'll have people lobbying to put Clinton on the fucking quarter or some shit.
  10. Well, Guess Who's Coming to Cincinnati? The "New Black Panther Party" They have a permanent scowl on their face and are looking to kick some ass. Oh, this is going to be fun...
  11. It's not Kings Island. KI has been there since 1972 and Mason has only grown in the past 10 years or so. Basically, wealthy people moved into the Landen area in the 70s. That area, very close to Mason, was far enough away from Cincinnati to be a nice out-of-the-way location, yet close enough that it was no big deal to drive there (I 71 close by). It was very appealing to the wealthy, a great area to have nice big houses with nice yards, away from the city. Some kids from Landen went to Mason. It remained a well-kept secret until the late 80s early 90s. Then more wealthy people moved to Mason because it was more open than other affluent areas like Hyde Park (which is a conjested area). Mason was just a logical extension of Landen. Now, of course, Mason is getting more crowded, but is still more open than anywhere else really. My parents rock, because they had the foresight to move out to the area in 1971, way ahead of the curve.
  12. Can't understand why they would want to leave the wonderful society Castro has established... I mean, if Steven Spielberg loves Castro, it must be a great place to live.
  13. Hey, don't forget NAMBLA! Their message needs to get out as well, you know. Tune in to the NAMBLA News Channel...
  14. Then you do not know much about Michigan. I do not like Michigan as they are a hated rival, but I have respect for their program. I know their program and they have one HELL of a team. If USC were to play Michigan, USC will NOT win easily, if at all. But I agree about making a mockery of the BCS--I LOVE this controversy. The BSC is nice when you have only 2 undefeated teams, but now with more than two 1 loss teams and a couple of good 2 loss teams, the whole thing blows the fuck up. I love it, and I'm going to love watching the fury bust loose for the next few weeks over this.
  15. Man, how bad does Michigan fan feel about now... 2 unforgiveable losses, they should definitely be in the championship with the team they have, but they blew it. I'm no Big XII fan, but Oklahoma's 1 bad game does not mean they are overrated, for crissakes. Yes, it was a pitiful choke job, but they still dominated their other games like none of the other 1 loss teams. And how about Miami of Ohio's quarterback--awesome. They've had one helluva of a fucking year, too bad they are sitting unnoticed in the MAC.
  16. Damn, I stand corrected. No wonder Connery was the best Bond.
  17. Not only are psychologists themselves the most mentally screwed up people on the planet, they also have rampant feelings of superiority. A bad combination when the fate of dirtbags like this guy is being decided...
  18. Huh? Isn't the Bond character straight-up English? BTW, excellent seqway into a Bond reference, well done.
  19. This thing reminds me of the early 80s arcade game 'Track and Field' (Konami). There were several different events, javelin throw among them. You had to bang two buttons on the machine to build up speed, then hit another button to set height and throw. It was the noisiest damn game ever because of people pounding those buttons as hard as they could. Oh yeah, I've got the thing on my computer thanks to MAME 32 (my keyboard was getting killed there for a while).
  20. Not to sound like a 'black helicopter' conspiracy nut, but I'm staying away from the vaccines. No, I don't think that the vaccines are the gov't's way of controlling the population by GIVING people the Flu (people do believe this). But hell, the vaccine will only protect you from about 8 strains out of well over 100 that are out there. And you do know that the gov't buys these vaccines from various companies which may or may not be from the U.S. There's no guarantee that they are made in the very best facilities. Damn, maybe I AM paranoid...wait, if they ARE tainting the vaccines, there may be a thousand other things that could kill me...things that I have in my home as I speak... *heads for never-used Y2K shelter* No, seriously, give your kid plenty of Vitamin C (from a reputable health food store--Linus Pauling was right) and keep her hands clean after being in public. Good luck.
  21. Yep, just my luck, the damn community gets rich and affluent AFTER I grow up there...
  22. When you had to actually cook your food in an oven? (damn I'm old)...
  23. Shit, I also thought that the Nati would make in top 10, I guess we're still in the bush-leagues. Youngstown has always had a hardcore rep, it's like living in a gritty 70s crime film.
  24. Wow, somehow we've managed to turn a thread about a black man dying after an encounter with police into a "my high school mascot was better than yours thread." Talk about veering off topic. I think you mentioned it first kkk, so I'm blaming you, you pseudo-RACIST. (Just for the record, our mascot was the "Comets." I haven't heard of another HS mascot named after an astronomical object, before or since.) I never thought of a comet being tough or mean, oh well.
