Holy God, that chick is clueless. That's about a 9.9 on the cringe factor scale. I'm sure Al and John loved hearing that. "Yeah, we got some fine-talkin' negroes here Al..."

Whoops--yeah, the title should have been sex-neutral bathrooms or something like that. And, as mentioned earlier, how would you like to emerge from a stall, after having a particularly nasty shit, and finding a hot girl right outside the stall... Not cool.

Just a guestimate--I was generous with a BMI of 29 for him, 30 is considered obese, so I gave him the benefit of doubt.

Hey, you left out CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC....oh wait, yeah I guess they think highly of the protestors. It would in keeping with the whole 'liberal bias' thing. I agree, as I said above: I should have added that they simply disagree over policy and want him out of office. Although it is curious that you don't see many American flags at these protests--after all, the flag doesn't stand for the Bush administration.

He could have replied, "Well, Dave, that's impossible for me to say." Which would be the truth. I don't believe I ever questioned his patriotism, he's a decorated General for God's sake. I'm only pointing out his current, post-military duty actions/comments, which are not very clear and sometimes contradictory. -
That was a very funny incident. The fact that Bush does not easily fit in to the Royal atmosphere of Windsor only makes him look better to most Americans. The royal family hasn't exactly gotten a great deal of good press the last several years. This, and the Billy Bob Thornton portrayal of a fictional U.S. president in the film "Love Actually", will only solidify the view among some Brits that Bush is a slack-jawed fool and a mean guy to boot. I don't know about Canada, but Americans don't think much of the protestors here on our own soil, so it stands to reason that we would have the same feelings for foreign protestors (who are generally the same people behind the scenes). It's one thing to disagree with the policies and ideology of Bush, without going so far as to claim he is evil, but what we see from the majority of protestors is just that--assertions that he is evil and wants to kill as many people as he can while in office. The organizers of these protests are such radicals as 'moveon.org' (who seem to be having trouble moving on from the 2000 election), and the World Workers Party. A cursory examination of these groups shows that they are very radical and have deep hatred for Bush beyond just policy disagreement. Of course many of the people on the street are unaware of what these groups stand for and are just patriotic Americans speaking theirs minds, not even realizing they are being played as useful idiots.

When asked by David Letterman if, were he President, he would have found Bin Laden by now, he said: "Yes, I would have." Another classic from the General. -
Colonel to be court martialed for...
Swift Terror replied to Lando Griffin's topic in Current Events
Here's another quote you may wish to sarcastically respond to: When asked if there was room for forgiveness over terrorists who wish to destroy us, Norman Schwarzkopf said: "I believe that forgiving them is God's function. Our job is simply to arrange the meeting." Now I must say that is highly insensitive, sure to piss off many enlightened individuals out there. The guy West interrogated was indeed a terrorist who was part of plot to kill American soldiers and he had participated in previous attacks. -

Swift Terror replied to Lando Griffin's topic in Current Events
Well, Lt. Col. West's trial is beginning. He said he would do the same thing again, and that the safety and lives of his men are the most important thing to him. His actions did in fact save many lives, as they stopped an attack that was imminent. We see this kind of thing acted out on TV drama shows all the time. Shit, everybody cheers as Jack Bauer beats the fuck out of some guy he wants info from. Well, now it's real life, and real lives are on the line. As Harry Callahan said, "Well I'm all choked up over that man's rights." And where the fuck is Jesse Jackson and Al 'poo face' Sharpton? The Lt. Col. is a black man, and those two are silent on this. Not one word. Way to stand up for your fellow blacks, guys. But we all know by now that they really could give a shit. This guy is being railroaded and it is really sickening. -
Speaking of whores, hippies and fuckers, how about the British reporters at the Bush/Blair press conference? "President Bush, why do so many people hate you?" Well, with respect to why they hate him, perhaps the protestors themselves would better be able to articulate that. And isn't it obvious that all world leaders are going to have a certain number of the population who virulently hate them. One of the reporters asked Blair "what do you say about the British citizens killed in the Istanbul attack as a result of you standing shoulder to shoulder with a controversial US President." As a result of you standing shoulder to shoulder with a controversial US President??? Blair of course had a great response, a response which should be obvious to anyone with common sense. And the Guardian newspaper, a very liberal UK paper, ran a poll that showed a majority of Brits supported Pres. Bush. In the same paper, they ran solicited letters from prominent people. The writers were asked to speak directly to Pres. Bush. One of these, comedian Dave Fulton said, "I don't know if you know this but the majority of people outside the US don't hold you in high regard...." Brilliant. LMAO, that is a dumbshit reporter for you. Dozens of people? A minigun fires at a max rate of 6,000 rounds per minute. Yeah, I think it can handle dozens. And it was used in Vietnam on boats in the Mekong Delta, and has many other uses, besides being used from a tank.

The Secret Service must be clinically insane to actually have the audacity to make such requests. Who do they think they are, what with wanting to shoot someone who is posing a threat to the President? And there are certainly NO Islamic terrorists among the approximately (reportedly) 70,000 protestors. Tony Blair, if you want to visit the U.S. and there are nutjobs from radical groups making hay about protesting, you go ahead and arrive armed to the teeth. More power to you.

Clark: "We're in a mess, and I know how to get us out of it. And I will." Clarify that, General, and many of us will--just maybe--begin to think you have some concrete answers. He has only offered contradicting positions and incredibly simplistic solutions. He has stated that one of the primary goals that he recommends is to "find Bin Laden"--wow, thanks for that, General. -
FYI, Blink 182 will be on the Jim Rome radio sports talk show. I think they will be on in the third hour, 2-3pm EST, but you may want to check out 1-2pm.

Bush in a fist-fight, sweeeeeet. So, honest question: since you are over there, what does the average Brit on the street think of Pres. Bush? By watching cable news in the U.S., one gets the impression that nearly everyone despises him, or at least thinks he's a cretin.
-
Damn, the WSJ editorial online is only available to subscribers. I don't know what Jack Straw said, but the mayor of London certainly disapproves of Pres. Bush. He referred to him as "greatest threat to life on this planet that we've most probably ever seen". Oooooo--k.

See pic below for what happened last year after the same talk about Ohio State. First Michigan was supposed to crush them. And then, Oh lord, they aren't any competition for Miami. Why, they don't even belong on the same field as Miami.

Funny how they didn't bother to perform this procedure on non-whites. But I suspect they went into this experiment with the desire to scientifically affirm what they already believe.

Now Mikey Moore has something to drink in between his in-between-meal snacks. (had to get that cheap shot in) They should make an entire line of drinks based on a Thanksgiving meal--drink your Thanksgiving dinner and keep off those holiday pounds. -
yeah, weak though it is, it's better than at that place. I always loved the Readers who got defensive around the coffee machine, as if they were at home and you were encroaching on their 'territory' when you were getting a cup. Man, what a bunch of freaks.

"capture and rescue tale embellished" says Lynch
Swift Terror replied to bobobrazil1984's topic in Current Events
This could be half-truth/propaganda, I don't know, but the military (I don't know specifically what department) has said that they intercepted an Iraqi communication shortly after this convoy accident happened. The persons speaking mentioned a blonde soldier engaged in a fire-fight or something to that effect. So the word got out once they found out that Lynch was captured, that it was her. Turned out to be someone else (male). It's good that Lynch herself is downplaying all this, but it has been reported for months now that she did not go Rambo on anyone. This is no revelation from her. Definitely, the military saw an opportunity for a story here and wanted to promote it. So did the media. -
I drink the coffee they make here at the office where I work--of course, most of the time it is weak as hell, like at most offices I suspect. When I buy it for myself, I'm one of those nuts who passes right by the Folgers and Maxwell House shelf and heads for the bean grinder. Extra Fine, oh yeah.
