I think this board is just looking for reasons to never like Orton. We bitch about Eddy winning the belt, we bitch about Benoit being in the main event of the most hyped ppv in recent memory. Prediction: Benoit will win the title, but we'll say it's a meaningless win because he won it in a 3-way and also it is not the "real" world title, just a cheap imitation, etc. Prove me wrong.

And yes I can laugh at this too.
-
I stand corrected, thanks.. Still though, I don't think this should be a big deal. Is the wwe locker room a communust country where everyone "shares" everyone, or is it a feudal system where the nobility owns everything and the peasants are merely slaves?
-
Wrestling questions for non-wrestlers? Naibus: False. With or without A-Rod, the Yankees will choke in the playoffs, if they even make it this season.
-
I have to say I am incredibly surprised to see this, at least Heyman sticking up for him in this case. It's only because Bischoff was seen as the face of WCW is he blamed for its demise.
-
I agree. The lockerroom seriously needs to be bitch-slapped a few times Maybe he was saving his money. not partying all the time and was finally able to afford a plane? And there is nothing that says he will be flying to shows with it, for all we know it was bought for his own private use.

City of San Francisco sues State of California
Highland replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Sorry I just don't buy it. We are talking two consenting adults vs. Child Abuse here. And at the moment it is just that: a decision between consenting adults. My point, though, is that allowing for a broader interpretation of marriage will lead to just more than marriage between consensual adults. It will open the way for polygamistic and even pedophilic marriages. If there is no legal definition of marriage, then an adult could marry their offspring (even if an adult) and legally sue for the right to have that marriage recognized. -

Changing the definition of marriage would also open a Pandora's Box and possible lead to something as frightening and disgusting as this. While I generally dismiss the religious parts of the article, I can in no way dismiss or disagree with their position on this issue stated in the article. -

I have to agree with Bush on this one: Marriage should be defined as a union between a man and a woman, else where is the line drawn? Also, he is speaking for an overwhelming majority of Americans; the only sticky point is whether this requires a Constitutional amendment or not. Gays and lesbians are a tiny minority that have a hugely disproportionate amount of influence today based solely on their orientation. Should the president be blamed for siding with a greator majority over a tiny fraction of the population? -
I knew you people would start this nonsense with me: of course Bradshaw was a draw, and I said draw, not headliner. There's a difference.

Tommy Dreamer isn't the same Tommy Dreamer of ECW, and frankly I don't want to see him wrestle much anymore. I also don't see why he would be released, since he is well liked backstage, reportedly does not cause trouble, etc, and expressed interest in working in the other aspects of the business. Make him a road agent or something. And I'll never understand this facination with the indies, if they were as great as everyone seems to believe then they would be more successful, but they are not. Say what you will about Vince and the way he runs things, at the least working for him is a steady paycheck, and any company that gives second chances to their employees (see Eddy and Jeff) cannot be that bad.

Taker, Flair, HHH and even Bradshaw have something that Holly will never have: Heat. Also, unlike Holly, all of them at least sometime in their careers were a draw.
-
Holly hasn't been fired yet?

I've always hated Lita. I despised her when she'd run in during every fucking Hardy's match, and like clockwork the ref's back would be turned, she'd run in and do her little 'canrana and the marks would cheer. Argh! And yeah I realize I am being hateful in a markish sort of way, but I just don't see anything redeeming about her, and I'm one of those that defends Orton, so I must be able to see the good in *some* people.

So a thief should get the same sentence as a murderer? While I agree that she got what she deserves, I have to confess that the first thought in my mind after reading her sentence was "She could kill someone and have gotten less time than this. A lot less time."

Other countries don't have censors that go hyperactive after seeing a (still) covered breast at the superbowl. That more than anything else shows how prudish and puritanical we are. Freedom of speech and expression indeed.

I turned it off before the last segment, because I knew it would suck, but the downside is I missed an F5 on Austin
-
Actually, Bischoff as co-owner of wwe storyline wise would be nice. Think of it, there'd be no more of that bullshit wwe board of directors and Linda McMahon coming down and cutting him off at the knees everytime he's get a leg up for more than a week. God forbid that Austin be outsmarted by someone that is actually smarter than him.

Article Do we really need to convince any more people of why there is a seperation between church and state? This place is worse than the Taliban, these people are slaves to this prophet. I don't know whether to feel sorry for them or to callously dismiss them as being weak-willed.

I have noticed that alot the rules are not ironclad, or at least their interpretation is up to the mods. I don't have a real problem with this. Johnson was warned not to make fun of CWM's (I think that's who it was, sorry if not) problems. On the other hand, Gheyme was banned for a stupid post (wishing Rico dead) and even though I learned that the guy is creepy and has been banded numerous times on other boards, I didn't like the reasons for his banning on this board, especially when worse offenses only get a warning.

Should foreign-born citizens be allowed to...

Meh, that constitional amendment is the only thing that keeps the office being literally for sale. Face it, anyone with enough money would be running otherwise. -
