I enjoyed the segment until HBK came down, and the collective groan was because everyone knew Benoit was getting SCM'd. The promo by HHH was quite good, in my opinion, and served to put both him and Benoit over, yet before Benoit even has a chance to respond, the true heat stealer, HBK, has to come to the ring.

That's because he was being booked properly--especially during the dying days of wcw--as a monster out to hurt people. Scott Steiner is meant to be a heel, not a face and it's no surprise wwe took so long to figure that out, but now it's too late, since Scott is no where near the wrestler he once was.

I really don't think HBK has much time left, and it's a testiment to the incredible shape he is in that he was able to come back and still put on a decent match (for his buddy HHH). I wouldn't be at all surprised if WMXX was his last hurrah, if not Summer Slam '04.

Orton needs a new gimmick, and he needs to be put over people, and not just RVD. He needs clean wins over the likes of HBK in order to be taken seriously by anyone, but that won't happen because HBK is every bit as political as HHH, but HBK can work a match so us smarks are far more forgiving of him. Orton reminds me of that guy, I forget his name, but he was a really prep-school time, but he had a dark side and would commit acts of violence, even murder. Make Orton a Ted Bundy type, handsome and educated on the outside, but it hides a cold blooded monster. This would be reinforced my calm toned interviews, but he'd be merciless in the ring. He wouldn't have to improve much either. -shrug-
