TNA Comments which don't warrant a thread

Unless it's another Huffman -
I thought of this today. Since Kennedy has missed more than a month's time with his injury since the alleged time he received drugs, WWE could say that that was his suspension time

Using Pujols for Hudson would've been stupid considering it was only a game tying AB, barring a homer...Hudson is a decent enough RBI guy for that situation. But unless he's injured or something, leaving Rowand in there instead of Pujols will be one I'll never be able to wrap my head around. I'm from STL, so I've seen a lot of La Russa screwups (although for the most part I've liked him as the manager), but this one ranks up there. On a side note, I found it hilarious that Buck and McCarver were talking up JJ Putz at points throughout the game and he came in and just about copied the Brad Lidge NLCS meltdown from 2005. I expected K-Rod to be wild because it's something we've seen before. Rowand had a terrible AB against him. If he was taking that 1st one which was a get me over fastball, he should've been taking 2, especially the one he swung at looked up and away.

Wii's Madden is good, but I kept getting annoyed because at least once a game I'd fuck up a kickoff or a punt

Yadier Molina was the clear cut MVP, while Eckstein came up big the last 2 games, Molina was consistent not only throughout this series hitting over .400 but coming up huge for the entire playoffs.

The only time the mistakes even mattered were tonight. Game 1: Cards offense pounded Verlander and Reyes pitched them to a win. Game 2: Rogers pitched a gem, pine tar or not, and the Tigers little offense won them the game. Game 3: Carpenter pitched a gem, and Edmonds double was the difference. Not the Zumaya error, it only added insurance, which wasn't needed because the Tigers plated zero runs, regardless. Game 4: Cardinals fought back to 3-2 with clutch hitting from Eckstein, Rolen and Molina. Then, they caught a break with Granderson slipping on a wet field and Rodney threw a ball away. After that, it was timely hits by Wilson and Eckstein (Monroe was playing in and he got it hit over his head, this was not a defensive lapse). This is not as fluked as you are going on about. Yes, the Tigers have been flat. But you can't blame it all on defense and the layoff. Give credit to the Cards pitching which has been stellar throughout the postseason.

What do you mean start? They already did it by blowing the division getting swept by the Royals, so is it really any surprise that they are coming up short here, against a team far better than KC?
-
That is a picture of Rogers hand in the ALCS (left) and the World Series. Strange coincidence that there is "dirt" in the exact same spot on his hand, right? I think that's all the proof one would need. Also, the stories Rogers and the umpires are telling have clashed. The umpire said he had asked Rogers to wash whatever it was off his hand, while Rogers denied that and said the umpire only told him to take less time between pitches.

I don't know where everyone is getting that the Cardinals pitching won't be able to hold off Detroit. You can say all you want about how mediocre they look on paper but they did throw 5 of 7 quality starts against the Mets who were arguably the best offense in MLB this year, and the bullpen has been pretty much nails. And are you all forgetting that Pujols had just one RBI in the NLCS as well? Everyone said before the playoffs that the Cardinals would have to get production from somewhere other than Pujols in the playoffs and they're doing exactly that, yet people continue to write them off.
-
Uhh, his 2 starts, wins, against San Diego were both quality. He had a rough first inning in Game 4 allowing 2 runs but shut them out for 6 following. In game 1, he allowed 1 run over 6 and a third.
-
I was mainly referring to sportswriters, check the ESPN.com predictions, only one of like twenty people on that panel picked the Cards over the Padres
-
Of course no one is giving St. Louis a chance. They didn't in the last series either, yet their inexperienced bullpen and shaky rotation managed to hold a team that was 14-6 with 102 runs scored in their last 20 games of the regular season to 6 runs over 4 games. Say what you want about San Diego having an impotent offense, it is difficult to turn a hot hitting team ice cold like that, especially when so much criticism was being brought down from sports writers about the Cardinals staff and how it was Chris Carpenter with a bunch of question marks. Also 2 of those Padre wins came at St. Louis and one was against Carpenter. Yes the Mets will probably win this series but you can't write off the Cardinals as rolling over and dying. Yes they have done that the past two seasons but this time they aren't actually favored to win anything.

And that one run was surrendered by Carpenter, crazy huh? -

Tony really needs to play the numbers and start Weaver in game 2 because he has had much more success on the road this season. However, I am not too worried about the Cards' rotation seeing as Weaver has been decent over his last so many starts (I think they said his ERA was just over 4 in his last 10 starts or something), and Suppan has been excellent in the 2nd half, and pitched a great game on Saturday to end the season. Though Carpenter coughed up his last 2 games the guy is money. I think it's clear that he just had a tired arm. His last start was a week ago, so he should be feeling pretty good. -
Last night when Jeff Hardy returned reminded me of this fiasco. For anyone who doesn't know (although clearly the majority of you will remember) Willie the Worker was a "guest columnist" on 1wrestling who appeared after Wrestlemania XIX, writing a few articles complaining about his lack of use on the card and WWE's product in general. I was searching through the archives here and then looked on Google but didn't find much. Did we ever figure out who it was? I remember the prime suspects were RVD and the aforementioned Hardy. Another name that was thrown around was Christian.
-
Yeah, that was the same thing I always thought.
-
The thing was he said he had "been with the company for several years," and the only ones who fit that bill were Hardy and Christian.

I think I got everything but it might be somewhat out of order: Dark match: Scotty 2 Hotty pinned Vito Booker T beat Matt Hardy with help from Sharmell Paul London pinned Joey Matthews with a rollup Lashley and Benoit beat Finlay and Orlando Jordan, Lashley pinned OJ with the Dominator Pirate Paul made Regal dress up like a woman, a bear and a chicken in several skits throughout the night. They then had a tag match with Gymini and Regal ended up coming to the ring as Captain Hook, Paul abandoned Regal to get pinned. Khali beat Funaki in like 20 seconds, Khali has NO heat whatsoever JBL had a "Great American Celebration" in which he insulted the crowd and the band that played, fired Jillian for making too many mistakes. Then cut a promo saying he was going to challenge the winner of Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio for the title next week which was announced by Teddy Long at some point backstage. Prompted Angle to come out, followed by Rey, they had a promo and then Rey and Angle beat up JBL. This was apparently the end of Smackdown. Taker and Cena had a dark match after RAW, which was interrupted by Khali, which prompted us to leave

If you have a PS2, I recommend MLB 06 The Show over 2K6.

Sorry

Yeah, it was nice to get the sword and just be able to kill everybody with one swing, but I liked using the dagger tail much better. Something about being able to just whip the crap out of people was just very enjoyable
-
I just beat it, this was probably ranked #2 on my list of the 3 behind Sands of Time. I did like the boss battles and their difficulty but the one against the sword and axe twins was almost too hard, I think you literally just have to get lucky in order to beat them (it seemed that the sword twin would just hit you from anywhere he was standing, even all the way across the platform where the battle took place). I'm kind of annoyed though because once I beat the game, after the ending scene it got locked up on a black screen and I wasn't able to save the game thus I have to go back and beat the last battles again before I am able to view the video gallery. Oh, and I don't know if this has been discussed in the thread or not, but it might be a spoiler, so I'll give it the spoiler tag:

I don't understand how anyone can call the Pistons a boring or unexciting basketball team. Just because they don't really have a "marquee" player like a Kobe or an Iverson, doesn't make them boring. In fact I think it's more interesting because they're a bunch of scrappy underrated players that always play hard and leave the flashy dunks and passes at home. I'm surprised the users here aren't all about them, because if you think about they're the guys in the NBA like people like Benoit are in WWE, ridiculously talented but underappreciated and overlooked.

I tried it again on SmackDown with Chavo and was unable to beat frigging Orlando Jordan (hey, it was on Hard and JBL was his manager) and lost. So I took my aggression out on Torrie Wilson afterward. Now starting the "Urning Your Spot" storyline, I already heard about <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Has anyone gotten to the "Urning Your Spot" storyline yet? The ending to that one is pretty ironic.
