  1. Tiger Pride
  2. Shatner plays himself in Showtime. Eddie just can't do a straight up comedy anymore- it's all family films and cartoons
  3. From wiki- Showtime is a 2002 comedy/action film starring Eddie Murphy and Robert De Niro and directed by Tom Dey. Its plot centers around two cops at odds who are paired together for a reality police show and run into real trouble with a crime lord. The beginning of the story closely parallels to that of the 1988 film The Dead Pool, in which Harry Callahan intentionally breaks a news camera and is subject to favors for the news channel as a result. In this film, Robert De Niro breaks a news camera and, as a result, must participate in a reality television show. Showtime was nominated for 2 Razzie Awards (worst actor and worst screen couple).
  4. Showtime had Robert DeNiro and Eddie Murphy, I'm sure neither came cheap
  5. How about: Hey, Jack Black voices the panda, that movie's gonna be really funny. Which it was
  6. Cuba also produced Harold! Apparently Jim Downey and Fred Willard are in it, so it might not be the worst movie ever. I remember it was one of the first CGI films to truly sell itself based on the stars- witness all the marketing with their names front and centre, And how did the Shrek name become so big? Because of Eddie and Mike Myers. It wasn't centred on Murphy, as every black actor ever seemed to be in it. But I think his acclaimed performance and the hint of him winning an Oscar really helped sell the movie. Jack Black was definitely a selling point for Kung Fu Panda. Actors do help sell CGI films these days, unless your Pixar and have managed to build an award winning brand.
  7. I didn't know a thing about that movie until a thread on another board mentioned it last weekend. The plot doesn't sound like it would make for a good five minute sketch let alone a ninety minute movie. Hell, I can't even remember the sketch it was based on. It's another stop on Cuba Gooding Jr's train ride to obscurity. I believe Harold only aired once or twice on SNL. It was one of those skits that seemed to air everytime I went to a dress rehearsal.
  8. It depends on the marketing of the movie and how it's sold
  9. Is Sydal's gimmick that he cuts horrible promos?
  10. Shrek was a computer animated movie featuring the all star comedy pairing of Myers and Murphy- it was one of the first animated movies to heavily market its voice cast, rather than the concept or animation. They put their names on top of the posters, which I don't recall the Toy Storys doing
  11. Would Shrek have been the huge hit it was without Eddie's performance as Donkey? No, I don't think so. Actors are a huge selling point for animated movies these days. Look at Jack Black in Kung Fu Panda
  12. In lesser box office news, Harold, which was released on Friday, will become the lowest grossing movie based on an SNL skit. Julia Sweeney can rest easy
  13. He absolutely was the star of the Shrek- him as Donkey was one of the major selling points of the movie. And his performance in Dreamgirls, again, was one of the selling points of the film. He totally deserves credit for those movies. While domestically it was slightly disappointing, Haunted Mansion was a huge hit overseas. I won't dispute the other movies though.
  14. What terrible flops? Aside from Pluto Nash, most of his movies make a lot of money. Norbit almost made $100 mil.
  15. He did say it was an excellent film. ReelViews gave it ****, but the New Yorker and New York magazine both gave negative reviews
  16. Joeybagadonuts just got served. Hopefully with a bag of donuts.
  17. JAMIE BAH GAWD NOBLE! Seriously, he's become one of the best parts of RAW
  18. It rocked, IIRC!
  19. I've heard the first song a few times- it's really good. Totally hyped for the movie, just hope there's enough Kelsi to go around
  20. No. That's not possible.

Kaz pulled off one of the most amazing moves in TNA history when he hit a legdro from the top of the structure on Daivari. However, by doing that Kaz cost himself the bout, allowing Volodor to pull down the red X! After the bout, Mike Tenay and TNA spanish broadcast Willie Urbina interviewed Team Mexico while a visibly upset Kaz watched on. - In the Full Metal Mayhem match (as voted for by the fans on our website), the team of Kurt Angle and Team 3D beat AJ Styles, Christian Cage and Rhino after interference by Frank Trigg. AJ Styles had climbed a ladder to come down on Kurt Angle (who was across a table), but Trigg nailed AJ with a kendo stick. Angle hit Styles with an Olympic Slam through the table to get the win. - In the back, Jeremy Borash interviewed Samoa Joe about the World Title match. Kevin Nash came in to wish Joe luck. Joe asked Nash to stay in the back for the title match. - In the main event, it was an all-out brawl as Samoa Joe and Booker T went to hell and back. Joe and Booker both got busted open during the bout and were bleeding. Watching on, Booker T's wife Sharmell couldn't stand it anymore and begged for Joe to stop, then slapped him! In response, Joe smashed Sharmell's personal security. In addition, all of the TNA referees (minus Earl Hebner who was injured earlier) got annihilated by Joe, as the match got out of control. Security came in and couldn't stop Joe. Sharmell eventually got in the ring and screamed for someone to help as Joe choked the life out of Booker. Just then, the lights went out and Sting's music hit! Sting tried to talk sense into Joe, but Joe gave Sting the finger! As a result, Sting smashed Joe with the baseball bat and stood there as Booker T covered Joe and Sharmell made the three count! Sharmell took the World Title from ringside and put it over Booker's shoulder as they left the arena! Joe was out cold in the ring as Sting left as well! Is Booker T the new TNA World Champion? What will happen between Sting and Samoa Joe? Tune in Thursday on "iMPACT!" to find out!
  22. What the fuck was that? I was hoping they'd DQ Joe and award it to Booker. But why didn't Sharmell wake up a ref and have them count the pin?
  23. Wasn't the McDonalds lawsuit just a one-time thing that was quickly thrown out and never heard from again? People act like it was the end of society.
  24. The Full Metal Mayhem match was fun, until it was reduced to AJ v. the world.
  25. Mind sharing? :-) I want to watch this show for Booker, but if he loses, I will have felt ripped off. I hope Angle doesn't do something stupid tonight
