That's because nobody likes the main good guy, and Freddy wasn't "likable" yet either. It was just a huge clusterfuck of a movie, but to me probably still the scariest of the series.

The "One In A Million" part of the song comes from the one guy who gave him a hand and helped him when he first got to town........this was a black guy btw, so calling the song racist is ridiculous.
