In The Air Tonight. It came on the radio while me and some friends were creeping through a parking lot looking for some dudes we were supposed to fight. That was some sweet shit.

I think this past month's was the best I have seen so far. 3PW Saturday May 15th, 2004 8PM ECW Arena (Swanson and Ritner Streets-next to Forman Mills) (866) 228-0326 [email protected] [email protected] www.3PWrestling.com MAIN EVENT: 3PW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!! NEW 3PW Heavyweight Champion JOEY MATTHEWS defends against JERRY LYNN! He fought through the top competition in 3PW. He fought through the critics and naysayers who proclaimed him a career underachiever. More importantly, he fought through his own insecurities. Joey Matthews beat them all, and in doing so, defeated RAVEN to become 3PW Heavyweight Champion in the biggest achievement of his career. He isn't the biggest, nor is he the strongest. He isn't the highest flier, nor is he the most "extreme", but nobody can question the intelligence or the heart of the man who now sits atop the throne as the best wrestler in Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling. Jerry Lynn knows the road that Joey Matthews has taken all too well. Like Matthews, Lynn is a tremendously skilled competitor who was considered too small and not tough or edgy enough to thrive in a hardcore environment, let alone the most extreme city on the planet. Like the new champ, "The New F'N Show" proved the critics wrong by winning the ECW title. Jerry Lynn earned the right to be considered the top dog in Philly and beyond, and now he wants to do it again. Jerry Lynn arrived in 3PW earlier this year with a purpose: to climb the ladder and establish himself as the best wrestler in Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling. He immediately rekindled his long-standing rivalry with SABU, and gained a hard-fought victory over his oldest foe on April 17th. Now, on May 15th, an older, wiser Jerry Lynn returns to Viking Hall to take that final step to greatness...again. Can he reach the Promised Land, or will the new 3PW Champion continue the streak of his career by defeating the closest thing to himself in 3PW? They both have beaten the odds... they both have beaten the best... on May 15th, who will find a way to beat the other? PURE WRESTLING EXCELLENCE! "The Phenomenal" AJ STYLES goes up against the debuting "Fallen Angel" CHRISTOPHER DANIELS! Since it's inception, 3PW has been a proving ground for the upper echelon of talent in our sport: every wrestler in the world realizes that they haven't done it all unless they've done it in Philly, in front of the greatest fans on the planet. Therefore, there was no question about whether a talent the caliber of Christopher Daniels would ever find his way to 3PW; it was simply a matter of "when". Thankfully, the wait is over, as the "Fallen Angel" prepares to touch down on the ECW Arena on May 15th. 3PW officials were quick to sign Daniels to a match against a man whom many consider to be equally...well, phenomenal, in AJ Styles, in what has the makings of an all-time classic. Both men are international superstars with huge fan followings. Both have appeared on worldwide pay-per-view. Both are technically superior, amazing high-flyers, and noted innovators. Most importantly, both have helped redefine the prototypical wrestler for the year 2004 and beyond. When reviewing the best matches of the past 2 years, more often than not, one of these men were involved: How awesome will it be when they go head-to-head for the first time in the most storied setting in Philly? FORMER PARTNERS DO BATTLE!! Until recently, the "Angry Amish Warrior" hasn't been all that angry. In fact, the man known as Roadkill has been downright content in 3PW, splitting his time between meaningless singles matches and teaming with wrestling's living court jester, the Blue Meanie. Enter RAVEN, who interrupted the aforementioned duo's recent tag match to accuse Roadkill of going "soft" and not looking out for his own best interests. Meanie tried to get his buddies' head back in the game, but the seeds of upheaval had been planted. Mid-match, Roadkill did the unthinkable, attacking his former friend and leaving him for dead. Like it or not, the new, even ANGRIER Roadkill, is now on his own. On May 15th, the Blue Meanie and Roadkill will once again share a ring... not as partners, but as opponents. Roadkill wants to annihilate the man who represents the happy-go-lucky attitude that has held him back for years. Meanie wants to gain revenge for last month's heinous attack. No matter who survives this fight, one thing's for sure: this could be the END of a beautiful friendship. ALSO ANNOUNCED: Jasmin St. Claire and The Sugar Daddy, “Macho Man” Striker w/ Miss Talia, CJ O’Doyle, April Hunter, Slyk Wagner Brown, “Pitbull” Gary Wolfe, Mike Kruel, Damian Adams, Ruckus, Monsta Mack, Ron Zombie, Ricky Vega, Double Trouble & MORE!!!

AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels and 3PW champion Joey Matthews vs. Jerry Lynn are scheduled to headline 3PW's return to the ECW Arena in Philadelphia, PA on Saturday 5/15. I believe Roadkill vs. The Blue Meanie will also be on that show.---reported by Mike Johnson That would be cool, I think that would be Daniels' first appearance in 3PW.

Jersey All Pro Wrestling returned last night to the Rahway Recreation Center, in Rahway, NJ, before a record crowd of 720 . Match results were as follows: Corvis Fear and Rush defeated The Christopher Street Connection (with Jail Bait). Afterwards, Mike Awesome and Monsta Mack attacked both teams until Dan Maff ran out and made the save. Justice Pain defeated Insane Dragon (ROH's Izzy). Trent Acid defeated M-Dogg 20 and Roderick Strong in a short but solid three-way dance. Teddy Hart promo. Light Heavyweight Champion Jay Lethal retained his title by beating Azrieal (ROH's AngelDust) (No DQ Match). The Solution (Papadon & Havoc) defeated Shaolin Wrecking Crew (Magic & Suba) to win the JAPW Tag Team Titles with help from their manager. Harry Smith & TJ Wilson (a.k.a. the Stampede Bulldogs) defeated H-Effect (Dixie & Deranged) Teddy Hart defeated The Amazing Red in a wild brawl that lasted 30 minutes. Red got LOTS of heat for wearing a TNA shirt to the ring. JAPW Heavyweight Champ Dan Maff defeated Mike Awesome (w/ Monsta Mack and The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz). Vader then attached La Familia before turning on Maff and then made the 3 count for Awesome as he pinned Maff. JAPW's next show will be at the Rahway Recreation Center on June 5th with Dan Maff and Samoa Joe vs. Vader and Mike Awesome, a JAPW Light Heavyweight Title Match fearuting Jay Lethal defending against Sonjay Dutt, and B Boy vs. Trent Acid.

Too bad you weren't wearing a pair of these. -
I have a real weakness for "Shimmer", but "Bad Day" is one of the worst songs I have ever heard. I haven't bought an album of their since the one that was on.

I could beat Chief's ass.

Yeah, I voted for Clapton, but Zevon's is up there, maybe even the best. -
I disagree.......the arrival of Raven, as well as guest appearances by Al Snow and Stevie Richards, and now with AJ Styles to be a regular..........they're probably at their peak. Not to mention cult fav CJ O'Doyle.

I'm never going to die apparently.

Bitter Flair interview #2. He's just pissed cause everyone on the internet knows he whipped out his piece on a plane and attempted to molest a flight attendant. Grow up Ric, and stop giving interviews until you can stop talking down to the fans like we were your idiot children or something.

Ajax Garcia, founder of late '90s punk rock n' roll band THE NAPOLEON BLOWNAPARTS, was reportedly approached about filling the vacant guitarist slot in GUNS N' ROSES following the recent departure of Buckethead. In a press release date April 7, 2004, Ajax explained how he came to be mentioned as a possible touring member of Axl Rose's new band: "Yes I was contacted by GUNS N' ROSES bassist Tommy Stinson on playing guitar for GUNS N' ROSES," Ajax said in a statement. "I was informed by a mutual friend that Axl Rose was possibly interested in a replacement for Buckethead so I expressed my own interest. Mr. Stinson got the word and called me. He didn't really elaborate about the status of GN'R's relationship with Buckethead at the time but would only say that he wanted to get back with me and would definitely let me know what is up when the timing was right. Stinson seemed like a real cool guy but I have yet to hear back from him or anyone else from that camp. This doesn't mean that I would not welcome the opportunity to play guitar with the new version of GUNS N' ROSES. "In my opinion Axl Rose is an amazing personality and talent. The real deal! In regards to the way he runs his show? His business is his business. I run my show as well with THE BLOWNAPARTS and it isn't easy. If something fucks up? The leader shoulders 100% of the blame and ultimately ends up the bad guy or the asshole. "The general public has a hard time swallowing pills this big. Look at Morison, or Richards? Hell, what about Gene Simmons for that matter? He is super successful and so that makes him an easy target for criticism. Axl Rose knew what he wanted and he went for it and I commend him for that. "GUNS N' ROSES are like the STONES, or ZEP for my generation. I was part of the whole Generation X label and I remember the press trying to tag NIRVANA and Kurt Cobain as the voice of my generation. Although they were great at what they did, Kurt Cobain or NIRVANA as a whole definitely did not speak too or for me like GUNS did. "I always looked at GUNS N' ROSES and NIRVANA like THE BEATLES and the STONES with NIRVANA being THE BEATLES of course. GUNS put it best for me in one song, 'It's So Easy'. Axl sang I see you standing there, you think you're so cool. Why don't you just fuck off!!! That was some bad-ass shit, man. "Keep on moving forward GUNS N' ROSES." His webpage

When were they more then an indy fed? Besides, I'd say they are at their best right now, good young talent, good vets, good angles.......the only wrestling I actually enjoy watching these days to be quite honest.

We really couldn't disagree more. TV EXEC: It's a classic fish out of water story! Except.......with rappers living with rich white people! We'll make MILLIONS! TV EXEC #2: Didn't we already see this on "Fresh Prince"? TV EXEC: MILLIONS!

Well I guess this means Matthews is not "officially" under WWE developmental contract, otherwise he wouldn't be allowed to step into the ring with an NWATNA wrestler such as Jerry Lynn next month, or with Raven like he did at the 3PW show that just past.
-
I for one think Eric Clapton's version is the best, and I happen to hate the studio version of GNR's. They did it differently on their late 2002 tour, closer to the original, and much much better.

Did he do the Axl Rose "Knock knock knockin on heaven's doowhoawah/Hey hey hey hey yeah" version of the song?
