Last week i lose and stay second, this week i win and fall to third, a curse on Troy for killing my strength of schedule. Though with my next four matchups against opponents that either are or were ranked that should fix itself quickly after i beat them all.

Texas have already hit the most Home Runs @ home in Major League history this year, Arlington surpassed Coors Field '96 for most Home Runs hit at a ballpark in a season, the one target left is the '97 Mariners record for most Home Runs in a single season (264). Six Home Runs behind with six games to go, and suitably Texas is at Seattle for their next 3 games. A shame all those Home Runs didn't equal wins though. With not much else to play for besides individual accomplishments, Mark Teixeira also has a shot at the AL Home Run lead as well as the MLB RBI lead, 3 Home Runs behind Ortiz/A-Rod and 2 RBI's behind Ortiz. Hopefully Texas can win 4 of 6 to end the year and at least settle for a .500 record to end the year on a fairly positive note.

Somehow i'm one of just 2 team to pass 100 points this week despite Manning doing jack shit once again. I'll be 2-1 unless Tony Gonzalez puts up 50 points, and at this rate once Manning starts ripping defences apart again (next week vs Tennessee looks like a good place to start) i should be in damn good shape.

From the look of the results Strong going over 4 guys isn't as dominate as it looks at first, Daniels is the one that finished Joe and Aries is the one that finished Lethal, Strong just stole the pins, and from Aries' promo he & Strong did alot of double-teaming in order to beat everyone. Only the Aries win was Strong really going over convincingly, so i don't read it like Strong was portrayed to be so dominate that losing to Dragon will be a huge letdown for him. Maybe it will be, i don't know, i'll wait for some results that are more than one line to see exactly how it came off.

Didn't find further results buy you can assume Danielson and Jacobs won their matches, the matches for round 2 of the TPI: Chris Hero vs. Bryan Danielson Chris Sabin vs. Josh Abercrombie Matt Sydal vs. Tyler Black Kevin Steen vs. Brad Bradley Arik Cannon vs. Delirious Skayde vs. Mike Quackenbush to go along with Jacobs/Mickie Knuckles, Tank/Rainman vs Iron Saints, a Super Dragon match and an 8 Man tag made up of eliminated wrestlers from Night One.
-
Partial results for night 1, taken from DVDVR which took them from somewhere: AJ Styles (strep throat) and Tracey Smothers (no reason given) are no-shows, replaced by Sal Thomaselli and Tank. Kevin Steen over Nate Webb Josh Abercrombie over James Gibson (played a pro-WWE heel and damanded to be called Jamie Noble) Brad Bradley over Tank Mike Quackenbush over Alex Shelley Skayde over Puma Arik Cannon over Joey Ryan Chris Hero over Rainman Tyler Black over Sal Thomaselli Chris Sabin over Mark Brave Matt Sydal over El Generico Delirious over Brandon Thomaselli (brawled post-match) Claudio/Daneilson and Jacobs/Cabana still to happen, and Tank/Rainman vs Iron Saints was announced for Night Two.

This already gets my vote for Best Promo in next year's year-end Awards. Provided i remember to vote, which if this year is any indication i won't. From now on everyone's retirement promo should involve them becoming/being revealed as a robot. -

Despite getting just 0.44 points out of Peyton Manning compared to McNabb's 25 i still manage to win the battle of the Holdouts. Not drafting any RB's until the 4th round and getting my third WR off the scrapheap worked out very nicely this week, god bless Cedric Benson holding out and letting Thomas Jones run wild.

Not even defeat can slow the Gamecocks bandwagon.

Back when i used to do this stuff (not that i really ever wrote anything even when i was active), i usually just came up with all the cool spots i could think of from each wrestlers movesets, and then just tried to connect the dots between them to create a vaguely coherent match. Despte my matches all being substance-less spotfests i somehow won basically every time i wrote too.

Too bad i can't predict winning football teams as well as i can predict my inevitable screw-ups.

CZW "A Big Muther F'N Deal" on Sept 10 !

Necro & Klein vs Hero & Castagnoli interests me greatly. Necro & Toby have been great in crazy as fuck brawls, so i look forward to seeing what they do with opponents that are about as far away stylistically from the H8 Club as you can get. It might be good, it might suck, either way i look forward to seeing it eventually, though i have a feeling it'll be another Necro/Klein CZW match with a crappy finish as the Blackout will probably end up costing Hero & Claudio the match. -
With Home Run #36 for the year Mark Teixeira becomes only the 5th player to hit 100 Home Runs over the first 3 seasons of his career, putting him in some pretty good company with Joe DiMaggio, Eddie Mathews, Ralph Kiner and Albert Pujols. Texas may have under-performed this season but Teixeira continues to get better and better.

I haven't had that problem, but ESPN seems to just randomly decide to be an asshole when it comes to signing up to it's various fantasy games. I know it's given me all sorts of problems over the years, though they seem to work themselves out eventually.

I'm in as well, i look forward to picking a heavily favored team that ends up losing like i seem to do every season.
