My piece of crap team wins two matchups in a row for the first time all year, led by my pitching of all things. Consolation playoffs here i come.

Last i heard Hashimoto was possibly returning to New Japan in the near future, now to hear he's dead, and at only 40 years old, is a huge shock.
-
One result is missing- The Carnage Crew won the Tag Titles over Whitmer & Jacobs.

If i was any NBA team i'd stay far away from Latrell Spreewell. He'll be good for the few seemingly random games where he actually decides to give a shit, but after playing a starring role in turning a Kevin Garnett-led title contender into a lottery team i wouldn't touch him with a 50 foot pole. And that's before he starts bitching about money.

To get someone of Kobashi's stature is huge for ROH. If it's at all possible they should try and stretch the 10/1/05 show into a doubleshot like they did for Lyger, they'll probably never have a shot at this again so they might as well get as much out of Kobashi as they can. Out of the ROH roster Samoa Joe's about the only guy that jumps to mind as an opponent for Kenta. I guess they could do Doug Williams as well due to the NOAH connection, but he's not exactly a regular so that might not go over too well, especially since i'm sure 99% of the fanbase will be wanting Kobashi/Joe and nothing else.

If Hughes can produce anything close to what he did last season he should be able to finally push the Cavs back into the playoffs. LeBron and Hughes, along with Ilgauskas or some other big man like Eddy Curry or whoever else they're after would give Cleveland a very good core of talent to work with. And it's not like getting to the Eastern Conference Playoffs is the most difficult task in the world either. A big loss for Washington, though with the money they would have spent on Hughes they should easily be able to make a strong run for someone like Bobby Simmons to replace him. If they can get a good replacement and spend the extra cash they'll have smartly the Wizards should still be in a decent position, Arenas and Jamison still leaves them with two big weapons to build around. EDIT: Looks like Simmons is gone, there goes replacement option #1.

With both Clint Barmes & Cesar Izturis on the DL and the free agent crop looking completely terrible, i'm in need of a shortstop. Throw some trades at me, all will be considered.

Vito's fine and teaming him with Numzio should make for a decent tag team, and god knows the WWE needs more actual teams, but i don't really expect much to come out of this. They already had this team with Nunzio and Stamboli/Palumbo, and adding Vito will be marginally better at best so i wonder what exactly will be different this time. Probably nothing, and we'll be reading a WWE Releases Big Vito topic some time in the not-that-distant future.

Getting McMillan as thier new head coach is about the best the Blazers could have hoped for. Hopefully Darius Miles doesn't get in some retarded confrontation and chase this coach off too.
-
My team continues to be the most inconsistent in the world. Last week i was only a K away from losing 10-0, and now i go and beat the King of Baseball Knowledge Al. Now that i'm in 13th hopefully i can sneak into the consolation playoffs at least.

AL MVP: Brian Roberts NL MVP: Derrek Lee AL Cy Young: Mark Buehrle, a very slim margin over Roy Halladay NL Cy Young: Roger Clemens AL Rookie: Chris Young NL Rookie: Clint Barmes AL Manager: Ozzie Guillen NL Manager: Bobby Cox

For my team i'll take South Carolina.
-
Since the Kenny Rogers incident Texas have won 3 straight, outscoring their opponents 31-13 with 11 homeruns in the process. If this is what happens maybe they should beat up cameramen more often.
-
Chavo gets shafted, they likely miss another opportunity to give Conway a singles run, and the majority of everyone else are likely guys to be gone if the rumored roster cuts are true. Regal could maybe be OK on Smackdown, otherwise who cares. Some 'blockbuster' trade, 11 people switch shows yet absolutely nothing of even remote consequence will change as a result, the jobbers just get to job to different wrestlers now.
-
In that case, i'll grab the open spot in the Mid-South. I'll edit in my team of choice shortly.
-
I'm glad Texeira is finally in first place, the prospect of him missing out to a guy who, outside of his one-week hotstreak isn't even hitting .200 on the season, would have been plain silly.
-
Looks like the two open spots are taken, so i'll wait and grab a spot if anyone drops out from last year.

Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney getting WWE tryouts
Cuban Linx replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
New tag teams are good, and they'd certainly be something different than 90% of WWE tag teams that are all basically interchangeable and forgettable, but at the same time i'm not exactly clamoring to see Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten matches circa 2005. Balls is OK, but Axl has no real use outside of hardcore matches, which the WWE really doesn't do anymore. Cut out the wild chairshots and there goes half the appeal. -
I guess that means i've been here Too goddamn long + 2 weeks. You'd think having been here close enough to four years would have been sufficient time for me to accomplish, well, anything at all, but i guess not. Maybe after my 5th or 6th year i'll get it together and finally do something.
-
Texas fell to shit in a hurry, from a 10 game winning streak and the division lead, and barely a week or two later they've let the Angels run away with a Cardinals-esque 7.5 game division lead. At this rate they'll be back in the basement with Oakland and Seattle soon, especially if they let Anaheim beat up on them 32-10 like they have over the past 4 games.

To my knowledge Jack has only used the Blitzkreig gimmick in 'Pro Wrestling WAR' in California.
-
Good to see the WWE showcasing some young up and coming talent for a change. Hogan could be 120 years old and i'm sure he'll still find a way onto WWE TV.
-
With my team doing it's best to redefine shittiness i'd say you have a chance. With Morgan Ensberg giving me plenty of production at 3B i'll put Scott Rolen up for a possible trade, hopefully he can net me something to help my rapidly sinking team. Take Corey Patterson off my hands while you're at it too.

Of all the things to make sequels of, Mrs F'n Doubtfire certainly wasn't the first movie to come to mind, i must have been oblivious to the outpouring of demand to see the continuation of a 13 year old piece of fluff comedy. What logical reason would there even be to make the sequel, something as stupid as even entertaining the idea of making a sequel in the first place, no doubt.
