Pretty good schedule with the likes of Miami, San Fran, Cleveland, Oakland and Arizona, i had them pegged for a rebound year after injuries killed last season, but that was before they released half the team. 5 wins is probably the ceiling for the team in a difficult division, 3-13 and a #1 or 2 draft pick is my expectation.

The Texas bullpen is sure looking to be an adventure this season, messing up a 6-2 lead to lose 7-6, all four Rangers/Angels games have been decided by a single run so far. After almost saving 50 games last year Francisco Cordero already has 2 blown saves to his name, hopefully they can get Carlos Almanzar and Frank Francisco back soon to dish out some chairshots and rectify things.

Is Sabu even in any condition to wrestle? Funk's hardly the poster child for physical health either, there's bound to be a ton of run in's and various distractions to cover up the many, many limitations of all involved.

The Bullpen was very good for the Rangers last season, but their start this year has been less impressive, yesterday they give up the winning run to the Angels in the bottom of the 9th, and today make a royal mess of things in the 8th to lose to the Mariners. A 1-3 start, but they were in each game right up to the end and with some luck their record could be the other way around, so there's definite promise for the season ahead.

I'd be especially worried if i was San Antonio, with Duncan probably not at 100% a red-hot team like Denver could cause them real problems.

Now that the minimum innings pitched is down to 24 innings it looks like i'll make it, though after Weaver and El Duque went a combined 15 innings giving up just 1 run i was in good shape to make the 30 anyway. And it's only after two games, but my taking a chance on Clint Barmes looks to be working out quite well. Eligible at 2B and SS, playing half his games in Coors and hitting ahead of Todd Helton, my weakest position was Izturis at Shortstop and if Barmes works out i'll have solved that problem already.

Despite Evans, Super Dragon and B-Boy having to pull out those are still both very loaded shows, numerous great-looking matches, Colt Cabana back in IWA, i can't see either show disappointing.

And we have our second extra innings game for the day, Texas and Los Angeles/Anaheim/California/whatever heading to the 10th after the Texas bullepn blows it.

Atlanta finally win 2-1 after 13 innings.

I'm gonna be pushing it to make the 30 innings minimum, at 10.2 with Jeff Weaver, El Duque and Javier Vasquez with starts this week. If they can all get about 6 innings Percival and Guardado should be able to take up the extra three or so innings. Though if Vasquez stinks up the joint with another 37.80 ERA performance i'll probably lose all the pitching games anyway. It's clear i'm going to be relying on my offence to win basically every category in order for me to win this year.

It didn't take too long for the weeky rosters to bite me in the ass, Kris Benson put on the DL right after the rosters are locked in place. Of course Kris Benson sucks so not having him pitch will probably help my stats, though i need his innings to reach the minimum innings pitched.
