First Sixteen For Ted Petty Invitational Announced
Cuban Linx replied to Phoenix Fury Legdrop's topic in General Wrestling
Arik Cannon already has a win over Chris Hero, at the "A Butcher Loose In Highland" show. -

If a spot's still open i'll crawl out of my retirement hole and be in, if it wasn't for Clinton Portis not playing in the games that co-incided with the league's playoffs i maintain i would have won last year.

If Peja wants out of Sacramento i hope Portland makes a move for him, Stojakovic will top just about anything else the Blazers could get for Abdur-Rahim. Maybe throw in another player or two and they should have as good a deal available as anyone else, Stojakovic outside, Randolph inside and Ratliff clogging the middle defensively with the likes of Anderson and Miles around them sounds good to me.

Other than Joe, B-Boy and i think Homicide i'm not up to date on who's booked elsewhere for the TPI dates, but if i had to take a guess as to the final eight i'd say Danny Daniels, Jimmy Jacobs, Nigel McGuinness and probably Chad Collyer are all highly likely, and if they're available Jerry Lynn, AJ Styles and CM Punk have been in IWA:MS lately and been in past TPI's so they'd be top contenders for a place. American Dragon coming off his Cannon & Hero matches would almost certianly be booked if he's available, but chances are he'll be in Japan as he seems to be most of the time. Fill in any gaps and pullouts with some more Wildside and Chikara guys and you have yourself a tournament. -
Awful name for what will probably end up an awful thrown-together at the very last second PPV. Even if they end up stacking the card i really don't see a Tuesday Pay Per View doing very well at all, especially with other PPV events set so close to it.

Even though i don't have very high hopes for the film i'll probably go and see it if i have nothing better to do, i'm a fan of the majority of the Alien and Predator movies so i'll give it a chance. Hopefully seeing it with zero expectations won't leave me disappointed.

I'm yet to see almost all the top-end match of the year contenders (i've got no IWA:MS from this year other than KOTDM and no ROH beyond Battle Lines Are Drawn, thoiugh that'll be changing very soon with some new orders coming in), but out of what i have seen i'd be inclined to go with American Dragon vs Rocky Romero from the Best of the American Super Juniors. Only around 12 minutes or so, but every second of it is fantastic, a longer rematch between the two needs to happen as soon as possible and would no doubt rival the very best matches that've happened this year.

Bringing back a stable from over half a decade ago that was hardly popular enough to really be worth bringing back and with no noticable benefits to anyone, and said stable would be filled with nothing but total crap noone gives a shit about like the Cat, Orlando Jordan, Maven and Mark Henry. While it sounds like something the WWE braintrust would do, i seriously doubt it. This'll just be another unfounded rumour of the WWE bringing back random stable #6547457 that seems to pop up every few months.

Someone to keep Darko company on the bench.

After successfully turning a 4.5 game division lead into a 1.5 game deficit to the A's in a bout a week, it looks as though a series against Detroit is just the cure for the Rangers recent slump. A 5-4 win yesterday and looking at an easy 8-0 win today, hopefully the remaining game against the Tigers and the series with Baltimore put the Rangers back on track.

First Sixteen For Ted Petty Invitational Announced

I believe Petey Williams is defending the IWA:MS Heavyweight Title throughout the tournament, so whoever the winner is would have to be someone that could conceivably be Heavyweight Champion. No way is Petey going to make it through and retain, past winners and Champions like Whitmer and Hero don't need it, it won't be an outsider/semi-regular at best guy, out of the guys listed either Alex Shelley or Arik Cannon would be my bets right now. -

All pretty much guys that were expected or had a good chance to be in the tournament, except perhaps Hallowicked. Even with just 2/3 of the participants announced the show looks to be shaping up great already, numerous matches from the likes of Cannon, Shelley, Hero, Strong, Sydal and Aries means we've got a hell of a lot of great matches to look forwards to. -

Guns N' Roses' Appetite for Destruction and Redman's Whut? Thee Album, with only a lack of funds preventing Sepultura's Chaos A.D. from joining them.

A large batch of DVD's today, some bought myself and some as gifts. - Bloodbath: Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches - Hard Knocks: The Chris Benoit Story - Happy Gilmore - Billy Madison - Bulletproof - A Fistful of Dollars - For a Few Dollars More - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

Another show report from RDMrWhite4 on the CZWFans. Also booked for 8/21 in addition to Danielson/Hero is Arik Cannon/Homicide, Ian Rotten/Steve Stone and the rescheduled B-Boy/Samoa Joe. That makes for one LOADED looking show, Hero vs Dragon i've been dying to see for about as long as i've been following the indies, and Cannon/Homicide isn't far behind as far as matches i want to see either.

How worse can a film get than Baby Geniuses?
Cuban Linx replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
They'll just make a sequel to absolutely anything these days. Anything to avoid having to coming up with something new or original i guess. -
Sepultura - Territory

It hardly feels like Taker's been back for 5 months, probably because he seems to only actually shows up on TV every two or three weeks, if that, since his 'Mania return.

I don't play anything, unless sitting on your fat ass all day counts as a sport.
-
Nobody gives a shit about either of them on their own, and teaming them together isn't going to have any benefit other than confining their suck to one segment as opposed to two. That 'Hardcore Ass' gets a Tag Title shot on PPV just shows how horrid Smackdown's tag division is.
-
Absolutely nothing. I'm really quite useless.

I guess ESPN by default being the only pregame show i get in Australia. I might get Fox too, but if i do i don't watch it.
