The Motorhead music blaring, and HHH standing in this huge stadium with the one spotlight shining on himself and cameras flashing everywhere... it was an awesome shot. What the fuck else is left? I'm assuming rap/R&B is out, so do you have tap your own music on the walls or what? Actually, I'm not sure rap and R&B would be banned. Rap artists are predominantly black, and you wouldn't want to get nailed with a race discrimination lawsuit. But what's so bad about Michael W. Smith and Stephen Curtis Chapman? For that matter, what did Ambercrombie and Fitch do that was so against Christ aside from overcharging for their clothes? Dude...they had a ban on interracial dating. They would literally kick you out of school if you dated someone outside your race. They only allow it now if you....wait for it.....HAVE A NOTE FROM YOUR PARENTS SAYING IT IS OKAY TO DATE SOMEONE OF ANOTHER RACE. Well if I went to that school and that aws the case, I'm fucked. Billy and Chuck were ok. I didn't mind the team, but I wasn't on their bandwagon either. If the Heartbreakers are more like the West Hollywood Blondes though, then the gimmick could work.

Most baseball fans returned in 1995. Most statistics quoted from sportswriters use the attendance numbers of the pre-Strike year of 1993 as a basis of comparison. The problem is, those numbers are skewed because baseball's attendance in Colorado hit nearly 4.5 Million, and Florida drew a hair over 3 Million. The National League averaged more fans per game in 1995, immediately after the strike, than they did in 1992. The Strike probably stagnated attendance, but it hardly killed the game, and baseball recovered fully within five years. Most of the fans came back during the big 98 season when McGwire and Sosa had the home run chase. The world paied attention to baseball again. I really don't see anyone having the effect that McGwire and Sosa did during that run. Hockey may have suffered permanant damage here. And the sad thing about all this in my eyes... the owners of the teams are losing LESS money but NOT having the teams play than if they did play.

So I'm a global fad.... AWESOME!
