AL SNOW - Would make an outstanding manager to a John and Matt from TE3. BATISTA - Needs to learn more than just power moves to get my attention. BOOKER T - Entertaining son of a gun who deserves to be World Champion over Goldberg. BUBBA RAY DUDLEY - I was liking his singles push CHRIS JERICHO - Quite frankly, I like Y2J as a face so much more than as a heel. CHRIS NOWINSKI - Hope he's okay. CHRISTIAN - I miss his "Greetings to all my fans" opening remark. D-VON DUDLEY - I actually liked his team with Ron Simmons. ERIC BISCHOFF - The best GM there is. He brings a lot of good things to Raw. GAIL KIM - A disappointment, but not a lost cause. GARRISON CADE - I like this kid, I think once he gets a gimmick then he'll be set. GOLDBERG - A waste of time who somehow got over despite the WWE's worst efforts. GOLDUST - I never stopped to think about what an awesome manager he'd make. IVORY - I miss her JACQUELINE - see Ivory, except for the part about "missing her." JAZZ - One tough chick who I never get sick of. KANE - A joke. KEVIN NASH - A joke as well, but not as funny. LANCE STORM - Needs to be on Smackdown, with Dawn Marie. MARK HENRY - If they have to keep him around, do something with him. MARK JINDRAK - A devolved as a worker since his WCW days. MAVEN - Vin Diesel. MISS JACKIE - Needs to go away and never return. MOLLY HOLLY - The love of my life. RANDY ORTON - Isn't ready to be where he is. RENE DUPREE - His presence does nothing but cause me aggrivation. RIC FLAIR - I'm still not sick of seeing him wrestle, just wish he'd put more younger guys over. RICO - Stuck with a dead-end gimmick. ROB CONWAY - Underrated potential. ROB VAN DAM - There is no good excuse why he shouldn't be a world champion. RODNEY MACK - Has shown recent improvement. Possible fear of losing spot to Mark Henry? ROSEY - a S.H.I.T.ty wrestler who is somewhat over. SCOTT STEINER - Okay as a midcarder, doesn't deserve the high paycheck. SHAWN MICHAELS - A pleasure to have around. SPIKE DUDLEY - Never given a real chance. STACY KEIBLER - Needs better clients. STEVEN RICHARDS - Should get Stephanie's GM spot for her painful stupidity. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN - Should really consider putting someone other than himself over. SYLVAN GRENIER - A great referee. TERRI - To hell with her. TEST - Keeps getting pushed, but the push always ends right as he's getting momentum. THE HURRICANE - Going nowhere. THE ROCK - We'll miss you ROck. THEODORE LONG - Funny as hell. TOMMY DREAMER - Mis-used. TRISH STRATUS - Should feud with Victoria or Gail while someone else feuds with Molly. TRIPLE H - Quad tear part 2. JR / King - A once great commentating team. Where have the good times gone? Lita - Sloppy, but still intriguing. Smackdown A-TRAIN - See Test. BIG SHOW - Most improved worker of the year. BILL DeMOTT - Needs to be face. BILLY GUNN - Should try to win Chuck back. BILLY KIDMAN - Needs to betray Rey Mysterio when we all least expect it (seeing as we all were expecting this to happen two months ago) BRADSHAW - Great at getting cheap pops. BROCK LESNAR - Has done it all in under two years, so nowhere to go now. CHARLIE HAAS - Future World Champion. CHAVO GUERRERO - Big things in store for this guy. CHRIS BENOIT - Needs to destroy A-Train and then feud with Lesnar. CHUCK PALUMBO - Should accept Billy's offer. DANNY BASHAM - Underrated. DAWN MARIE - I would love to see her with Lance Storm again. DOUG BASHAM - The most dominant OVW champion of recent times deserves better. EDDIE GUERRERO - The next WWE Champion. EDGE - Get well soon! FAAROOQ - DAMN! FUNAKI - Could be a good Cruiserweight champ. HARDCORE HOLLY - Worthless, unless he's facing Angle. JAMIE NOBLE - Could be a good U.S. Champ with the right push. JOHN CENA - The next Rock. JOHNNY STAMBOLI - Needs to be pushed. KURT ANGLE - If he's going to be a face, he needs to be pushed more. MATT HARDY - Would make an awesome U.S. Champ (and maybe more someday). NATHAN JONES - FIRE HIM! FIRE HIM! FIRE HIM! NIDIA - Could be a good Women's champ if sent to Raw. NUNZIO - Devolved as a worker. REY MYSTERIO - Over enough to be a main eventer. RHYNO - Wasted talent. RIKISHI - His glory days are far behind him. SABLE - Pathetic. SEAN O'HAIRE - see Rhyno SHANNON MOORE - The most underrated c/w on Smackdown. SHELTON BENJAMIN - See Haas SPANKY - Would be an awesome heel. STEPHANIE MCMAHON - Needs to get pregant and retire. TAJIRI - An amazing athlete who we need to see more of. TAZZ - Best commentator in the WWE today. TORRIE WILSON - Sucks ULTIMO DRAGON - hasn't been the same since the injury, but still better than half the roster. UNDERTAKER - Needs to do the final job then retire at XX ZACH GOWEN - Should go back to TNA.

Austin was pretty good in his day, so I wouldn't consider that to be a bad thing. Remember when Austin sprayed McMahon down with beer? Then remember when Angle hosed the Alliance down with milk? That was like Austin too!

I'm so glad everyone is eager for Smackdown tonight...

The fault lies in the WWE itself. Three years ago they were in a place where they could have made Jericho, Benoit, and Angle the new generation of main eventers. Insteady, they opted to keep Undertaker, Austin, Rock, and Triple H looking strong. Now Austin is in semi-retirement, Rock is making movies, HHH's skills and impact are in the toilet, and Undertaker is still kicking. They WWE fucked up big time by not capitilizing on the talent they had then and now it's biting them in the ass. The fault also lies in the WWE for taking too long to realize that quick fixes were not going to solve the problem. There haven't been any quick fixes as of late, but so many fans stopped watching during the times of half-assed nWo returns, HLA, and necrophelia that they probably assume it's just as bad. Also, if it makes you feel better, go watch some old wrestling tapes. Watch Diesel vs Mabel and then you'll feel much MUCH better about today's product.

The spoilers looked good, so I'm hopeful that tonight will be a fine show. I think Smackdown has become sort of underrated in here lately.

Me too. I think it could be explained that people tuned in for the Ross/Coach match, saw that it sucked, and lost all desire to see anything else happen.

Which is better? Raw or Smackdown? I'm going with Smackdown. Why? Because I can actually sit through the entire thing and enjoy it. When I watch Raw I keep finding myself driven to change the channel and never come back.

Nah, I probably would have been doing a lot of the same things you did. In fact, last time I went to Smackdown I tried starting a "Hogan Sucks" chant that made me very unpopular with the people around me. I did get a "Shave your back" chant going for A-Train, which I'm still proud of. I was in mark mode that night, I just cheered the good guys no matter how much I hated a few of them and I booed the bad guys despite my admiration for several of them. Why? Because it was fun! And yesh, having seen the Big Show in person on three seperate occasions, the guy is pretty cool in person.

It's kind of funny that this topic comes up now. Earlier tonight I was watching the 2000 Fully Loaded (which I rented for shits and giggles) and there was an outstanding Val Venis/Rikishi cage match on the PPV. I was sitting here thinking "why the FUCK did the WWE not capitilize on this!!!"

I can't afford TNA for the time being. How are things going over all tonight? I heard it's been bad the past few weeks.

All I can say is that the WWE would be fools not to sign Poker Face to a contract right away!

First off, after all this time the Austin/HHH 3 stages of hell match is still **** to me. Foley/HHH at Royal Rumble 2000 was *** I thought the match was overrated, I didn't actually get to see it in it's entirity until earlier this year and I was seriously let down.

The year 2002 didn't have a single PPV as bad as Judgement Day or Bad Blood or Unforgiven this year. From the time The Rock returned till he lost to Brock at SS the shows got REALLY good. SmackDown improved till Survivor Series. Though the booking seems to be improving now, the wrestling quality was much better last year. You have definite good points with Badd Blood and Unforgiven. However, let's not forget that 2002 also featured a Hulk Hogan/Triple H main event at Backlash, followed up by a Hulk Hoga/Undertaker match at Judgement Day. There have been some awful PPVs this year, but they have been fun to ridicule at the same time. I can still remember laughing my ass off when I realized the WWE was really going ahead with the planned Judgement Day card earlier this year. I guess I just find myself being less frustrated with the weekley product this year. It might just be because I was finding myself unsettled by all the change in 2002 (the roster split, the elimination of most of the titles, the change from WWF to WWE). At least things have been consistent this year.

I try to ignore checking the ratings. It usually depresses me too much.

LoL! I don't know, I like the awfulness of the Tazz/Josh Matthews team. It's like they're not even working, they're just having a good time.

Why not just have another gimmick battle royal? This time make it out of former main eventers who in reality have no place near the top of any card ever again.

I think overall wrestling is better now than it was throughout most of 2002. I loved Smackdown from Sept. to November of 2002, but the rest of the year was really lackluster with little signs of hope. This year has had a lot of steps in the right direction, small as they may be.

Velocity is a fun little show to watch when you get a chance. I taped it while I was gone camping and I came back to be pleasantly surprised with how much fun they were. Ultimo Dragon, Spanky, Nunzio, The Basham Brothers, Kanyan, and others really put on a show worth seeing.

I remember a time where real effort was put into every entrance song. I would find myself tossing and turning at night trying to get the Radicalz music out of my head. Same thing with T&A. They were simple tunes that had a lasting effect. Now the music is completely forgettable. When I saw WWE live, half the time I wouldn't know which wrestler's entrance it was unless I saw the titantron (and of course when the wrestler appeared on the stage). On a side note, I really like the Evolution theme. It's fitting for them, and it's easy to make fun of. I haven't heard Lita's new song yet, but I really liked her old OLD song "It Just Feels Right."
