You know, I made almost the exact same comment during an IM conversation yesterday. Looks as if the "Jeff Hardy syndrome" is contagious. It's spreading to Raw's home audience...
-
What happened to Ivory's push anyway? I was enjoying it
-
This is sweet news. Congrats to Shane and Marissa Bet the new born will get booked in more PPV matches than half the roster twenty years from now?
-
That Steiner/Nash vs Big Show/A-Train would be the ugliest match of all time.
-
I'm pretty sure the 7th member was Rick Steiner, since he was being pushed around that time.
-
As would I. Trish Stratus has more of my respect than most of the Raw roster at this point (and she'd probably be a more credible World Champion than Goldberg).
-
Can we also assume to see Big Show vs Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle vs John Cena? And as far as the McMahons go... this is actually a step up from Vengeance, where we had to see these two spread out over two matches. This time we only have to see them in one match and get it over with. On the negative side, Vince vs Steph will probably also be the second to last match.
-
Well... at least both the Smackdown McMahons are in ONE match instead of them each having seperate matches like at Vengeance.
-
Why not? Spike can cleanly lose to Lita on Heat and then the next week Rhyno needs Edge and Christian to help him beat Spike... so I'm guessing yes.
-
How about this... who was the last person to kick out of a pedigree?
-
I also remember Saturn tapping out to the walls on Raw or Smackdown once. Why do I remember this specifically? I think it was because he tapped really fast, just days after a different opponent of Jericho's (possibly Benoit) was trapped in the walls for an eternity without tapping.
-
Sounds like they are really starting to try to make a star out of Guerrero. A feud with the Big Show.... hmm, I hadn't even considered that one.
-
So... only when it happens to Chris Benoit, John Cena, AJ Styles, Paul London, Rey Mysterio, and a few others? Personally, it doesn't matter if it's once, but to some people, kicking out of a move once ruins all credibility of that move and makes it "look weak". I can agree on certain instances. When Undertaker no sold both of Rey Mysterio's finishers, Rey looked pretty weak. Overall though, I don't think it hurts the credibility of a move when someone counters it or kicks out.

This board never ceases to amaze me. A-Train has went for that exact same counter at least three different times. Each time that I've seen him attempt it, Benoit has reversed it right back into the Crossface. God forbid A-Train get it to work once. No kidding. It's like if a worker's finisher fails them once, everyone complains that the finisher has lost all credibility no matter how many times it worked in the past.
-
In a perfect world, A-Train will never beat Benoit. In the real world, A-Train will probably win the blow-off match.

The One And Only Smackdown Spoilers Thread - 9/25
SamoaRowe replied to Crippler Crossface's topic in The WWE Folder
Hmm, sounds like a good show thus far. Don't know if I like the continuation of A-Train/Benoit, but oh well. The Cena/Angle feud starts.... and Tajiri as new champ totally rules. -
Just for the record, those XPW shows are entertaining

Well, it's a boring style because so many big wrestlers rely so much on power moves? Rodney Mack and Batista are both big guys who tried to get over while using power moves to squash jobbers while having a charismatic manager in their corner. They figured since it worked for Brock Lesnar, it would work for them too. The difference is that Brock can actually wrestle, so his matches were good... Batista and Rodney Mack have both been one dimensional since they debuted. This creates very boring matches that no one wants to see. I fast forwarded through Batista/Kane at Armeggedon because it was putting me to sleep.

Yeah, I doubted whether or not I should really say that Gail Kim has potential , but I honestly believe she does. Mark Jindrak... well... he HAD potential, but I've lost faith in him. Sean O'Haire... he's a cool guy and all, but my faith in him has slipped as well. Randy Orton.... I agree.... he COULD be good. The RNN segments showed he could be used effectively.

Stephanie is such a stupid bitch sometimes I want to scream. She doesn't even watch Sunday night Heat? If she doesn't watch the show then how come she would even care strongly enough to pull the plug on Stevie Night Heat? This is the type of instance where the WWE managemant are indirectly saying "Please go work for TNA, we don't really want you around."
-
Maybe it's the same reason why I like Goldberg matches... I just want to see how badly he does. And yeah, I'm just waiting for the day when New Jack goes too far and kills himself, and hopefully not his opponent as well in the process.
-
That's true. I was mostly commenting on what people say in general. It's always that way after a Women's match. I agree about Gail Kim too. She got called up too early but she does have a hell of a lot of potential, I just wish they hadn't billed her as a "female Rey Mysterio" because that made me excited for her debut. And you're right about them developing. Most of the male stars are degressing as workers. RVD, Christian, Hurricane, Lance Storm, and even Jericho used to have much better matches.
-
LoL. New Jack is one of those wrestlers who completely sucks but for whatever reason I end up enjoying their matches. No clue why.
