Hey, I didn't claim he was a gimmick poster, that this was merely a gimmick thread.

Yes, this has got to be a gimmick.

    Campaign 2008

I've noticed a huge increase in quality at TSM since I added Marvin to my ignore list. Sadly, other people keep quoting him, so he sneaks through my defenses.

Matches that shouldn't have been on PPV

Taboo Tuesday 2004: Eric Bischoff vs. Eugene Christy Hemme vs. Carmella

9/11 did change a lot of things. On 9/10, everyone hated Bush and openly mocked him. On 9/12, criticizing him was like pledging loyalty to the Communist party.

Yes, yes, let's change things to keep a criminal president, who by right should have been dragged kicking and screaming from the white house years ago, in office so he can continue to royally fuck us all over. Then again, I'm 99% sure I'm responding to a gimmick post.

    Boom Era

It won't happen until WWE stops scripting the promos of all of their superstars down to the very syllable and allow the wrestlers to be more creative and involved in getting their characters over. Superstars that kickstarted the last boom would never have been allowed to develop the way they did in the current environment, and I personally believe that Cena would have been an even bigger star than he is now if the writers hadn't stepped in and cut the edge off his character in late 2003.

    Moments where titles were buried

Oh, and this one goes out to TNA. You have a brand new set of tag titles with a fresh lineage. And what do you do? Make Samoa Joe the sole title holder, shortly followed by Kurt Angle? You've got to be shitting me.

    Campaign 2008

Yeah, too bad Huckabee is a wacko. Otherwise he'd be smashing.

    Lets Talk about.....

I didn't like them, because even though I was still a mark at the time, I could detect that they were never going to go anywhere. I thought Albert and Credible had potential, but I was beyond sick of X-Pac (I was contributing to his X-Pac heat, I guess). It's fun to look back now, how Albert has become a big deal in Japan, and the other two just fell off the face of the planet.

    Moments where titles were buried

    Hornswoggle winning the Cruiserweight title.

    Moments where titles were buried

Johnny Devine winning the X title with no build or momentum, and then being promptly destroyed by Samoa Joe, with no title celebration whatsoever.

Okay, you cannot see the "live chat" feature when you're using the Webber skin.

See where it says LIVE CHAT on top? click on it. I must be friggin blind, but I can't seem to see it. Ditto.

Anyone know of any good online feeds? This show should be tremendous.

ROH 1.25 and 1.26 shows (Dayton and Chicago)

I don't see the logic in taking the tag belts off the Age of the Fall so quickly, otherwise those sound like solid shows.

Worst excuse for a heel turn

Yeah, I hated Kurt Angle turning heel by joining the Alliance after months of single handedly taking them all on himself. Then he turned on them again at Survivor Series and was back to being a heel the next night. I also hated Austin's face turn the night after Survivor Series 2001, because everyone was acting like he hadn't just spent the last several months playing a heel, it was all just forgotten about. It was like an on-air confession of "We realize no one wants to boo him, so hell, just cheer him already." Austin in 2001 must also never be forgiven for the creation of the "WHAT" chant.

    Heath Ledger dead

Shit, man, I don't have the energy to get pissed off over the Westboro Baptist Church anymore. Are they so bored that they are going to picket an actor's funeral? Fucking slimeballs.

    Campaign 2008

Good. He was arguably the least appealing of them all.

    Moments that irritated you

Why? Just because of what happened? Probably because this was after Benoit had been the World champion, so being the U.S. champ just seemed beneath him at the time. That's how it was for me. Eh, it's happened before. I think HHH had at least 2 IC title reigns after being World Champion. And that bugged me too. In fact, any time a wrestler wins a title lower in prestige than a belt they've already held in the same promotion is irritating to me. For example, William Regal, Jeff Hardy, and Christian all winning the European title after having held the Intercontinental belt. To me, that is an on-air confession to the crowd that they were actively depushing them.

Worst excuse for a heel turn

Undertaker turning heel in 2001 was really horrible too. He made J.R. kiss Vince's ass just because he'd been supposedly doing that for years. Um... what?
