The "This Saturday I'm going to DO IT" thread made me laugh so hard I cried. If this board does go under, I need to make sure to print myself a copy first.

What I love is that someone who has been banned repeatedly and has at times caused harm to the forums by hacking would be considered for ownership/leadership. That's just insane.

Well, first in WWE to have a nameplate. That seems to be their point. I don't really care if that's true or not, such a minor detail.

I liked the Sideways parody.

There's no way in my mind that HBK/Taker won't deliver. Undertaker has had great matches at Wrestlemania over the past two years, and aside from the McMahon match, all of HBK's 'Mania matches since returning in 2002 have been great. I imagine they both are feeling the pressure to put on the match of the night, and they are both professional enough that they won't let the pressure get to them and they will actually deliver. Orton/HHH has been done so many times that I would have trouble caring if it weren't for the effective build they've had. They've wrestled so many times before, but they have never had storyline heat like what they have now. That should elevate their match to easily be the best they've had.

When you arrive in WWE, make sure you shake hands with The Undertaker, otherwise enjoy an eternity of jobbing.

It's rough when TSM goes into a dead phase when I spend the day sick at home. Very little entertainment for me.

I always get burned out by the advertising for WWE films during their shows. My initial reaction to the previews for See No Evil, The Marine, and The Condemned were all "looks like a cheesy good time, maybe I'll go see it in theaters for the novelty aspect" but then after three months of it, my attitude turned to "forget it." I did end up liking The Condemned when I finally saw it earlier this year, and 12 Rounds looks decent enough, so I'll just Netflix it.

You're an atheist good for you. Since you don't take the Bible seriously, there's nothing to argue here. But don't expect those religious nuts to take a guy with his own full capacity moral standards seriously either. And that's why both sides will continue to have problems. When the athiest backs his argument up with logic and facts, it's not the atheist's problem if the Christians can be reasonable. So after all this, you guys still get it wrong? This isn't a "logic and facts" argument. This is entirely a beliefs argument. Most, if not all, of your "logic and facts" are completely predicated on certain beliefs and assumptions regarding this debate. What assumptions are you talking about?

And to the non-religious crowd, using God of the Bible as justification to deny gays their rights just sounds rediculous. If I were trying to convince you Christian folks of something citing Vishnu, I can promise you wouldn't take me very seriously at all.

I think I missed the part where the pro-gay rights crowd said "No, the churches have to like it and let gay couples get married in their buildings." All I see are arguments that marraige licenses are taken care of the government and is a legal issue.

I have a gay older sister who is about 16 years older than me. When I was about 8-9, my parents just sat me down and very calmly told me that her lady friend was actually the person she loves. Some people just happen to fall in love with people of the same gender. It wasn't about sex or politics, it was just the truth as plain as it could ever be told. I never questioned it and I never looked at my sister as if she was weird. It wasn't until years later when my younger sister was devastated when her best friend told her that our big sister was going to hell because she was an abomination in the eyes of her God. I had never stopped to consider for a moment that my sister was anything resembling evil, and really, why should I have? So no, I do not object to students in elementary schools being made aware that gay people exist. It will not hurt them, and they will not react badly, because they do not yet have insecurities about sexual matters the way their parents do.

The Rey feud at least produced an entertaining match at No Mercy last year. The new youngster fanbase ate it up. But yeah, otherwise not a good feud.

That just made me think of the controversy over this vest: I thought the fuss was a bit over the top at the time, but looking back...

I'm not trying to bash anyone's views, but when people try explaining why something is wrong because their Got hates it to people who don't share the faith, it doesn't work when we're talking about laws. You've properly explained why your church won't participate or why you don't like it, but you haven't properly explained why gay citizens should be denied their civil rights. It just does not matter.

Belief that they're going against God's image of them as he wanted people to procreate. Still not a good reason to deny civil rights. I can't believe the best arguments against gay marraige include "it's icky", "it doesn't create kids", and "my invisible friend in the sky thinks it's bad" and that these arguments are taken seriously.

I can remember Jericho throwing a temper tantrum over fan reaction to his matches once. It was right after King of the Ring 2002, when most fans stated that his match with RVD was "okay" and "***." Jericho was furious because he felt that he and RVD had just wrestled a match for the ages. However, that's the only example I can think of. At the time, I thought it was partly him just being in character, due to the over the top nature of the rant, but maybe he really is just that arrogant. Either way, I enjoy the hell out of his work, his feud with HBK was the best of last year, and I can't see how his ring work can be considered boring, especially compared to other WWE matches.

Couldn't care less what the religious folks think. It seems to me that there's a growing unrest with religion in the popular culture (or maybe I'm just noticing it now, whatever) and I'd say a big part of it is due to anti-gay sentiments (among other things, of course).

As a New Hampshire citizen, I'm thrilled to hear about this. About time.
