The Best Buy I work at has Super Paper Mario advertised for being in store by noon tomorrow. Circuit City has the same promise, as well as a free $20 gift card if the game hasn't arrived yet.

Michael Moore confronted these psychopaths? I need to see this.

Holy shit, those people can go fuck themselves. The comments they got from drivers during their pathetic little rally had me marking the fuck out. I can't believe they can spout that shit with a straight face.
-
Granted, I was still a mark at the time, but the Natural Born Thrillers were awesome to me at the time. Just a collection of hungry young stars who kicked lots of ass.

That Star Fox cartoon was pretty funny, thanks for sharing. I'll be happy when more N64 games that I don't have already start showing up.

I was in my family's camper in Maine, during our annual summer camping trip and I heard it on the radio. It was dubbed one of the "summer songs" in that I mainly associate it with the summer get aways.

"Cartoon Network, we will kill you!"

That's the funniest thing I've seen all day. -
I agree. That has to be one of the greatest typos ever.

Me too, I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

I guess winning a title on Smackdown means you get to disappear from television for weeks without any explanation. -
oAo WWE Raw 3/19/2007 (13 days until WM23)
SamoaRowe replied to QuestionMan's topic in The WWE Folder
The first hour of Raw featured 10 minutes of wrestling (only eight of which was televised). The match didn't start until 9:40. Raw is having an off week, IMHO. -
Yeah, I hadn't even stopped to think about how this change messes up their overload of ppvs. Not only are the ECW shows now meaningless, but so is having Cyber Sunday and No Mercy in the same month.
-
I'm also not happy about all the ppvs being multi brand in the first place. The last few months of this in 2003 were really bad. A lot of high profile talent had to settle for roles on ppvs that were beneath them and most midcarders rarely got a shot. As it is, I don't expect to see talent like London and Kendrick on too many ppvs in the future, seeing as they were only ever used on Smackdown only ppvs in the first place.

Yeah, I don't see why everyone is so desperate for the brand split to end. If that happened, things would be just like they were before, remember how awful the period after the invasion and before the initial split in 2002 was? It was hell, you never knew when you'd see the midcarders you enjoyed, and the main eventers were globbing up time on Raw and Smackdown each week. I promise that if the brand split ended, within months they would burn through all the pros of ending it, and they'd be in a real shitty situation. I haven't even gotten into how they would manage merging the upper card stars from all three shows onto on show each week. If every Raw and Smackdown needed to make justifiable room for Undertaker, Edge, Cena, Orton, RVD, Lashley, Booker, Kane, Kennedy, Michaels, the McMahons, Benoit, etc, then at least some of them are losing their pushes. If there ever was a time to end the roster split, it has long passed. Right now it needs to stay.

Most prestigious World Championship in wrestling Today
SamoaRowe replied to canadafour's topic in General Wrestling
Actually, they do.. http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/wcwchampionship/ No, I didn't say they don't acknowledge the WCW title history as it's own belt, but in regards to the current World Heavyweight title. That link you posted clearly shows the history of that particular title ending in 2001 with Chris Jericho. http://www.wwe.com/inside/titlehistory/worldheavyweight/ I know it's a bit silly to worry about title lineage in a fixed sport, but I care about it for some reason. -
Most prestigious World Championship in wrestling Today
SamoaRowe replied to canadafour's topic in General Wrestling
To me, the lineage of the World title used on Smackdown began in 2002 when Eric Bischoff handed it to Triple H. I know it can be debated that it shares the lineage of the WCW/NWA title, but even the WWE doesn't acknowledge that with their title section history at their website. Having said that, I think the most prestigious belt in wrestling (in America, no disrespect to Mexico or Japan) is the WWE title on Raw. The second most prestigious belt is the ROH title, for the same reasons that Hawk gave. -
ROH: 5 Year Festival/Samoa Joe Farewell Tour Night 3 (Dayton)
SamoaRowe replied to Hawk 34's topic in General Wrestling
He might be good in the ring, but I usually have trouble being interested in whatever BJ Whitmer is doing. -
Yeah, but can't they just take no for an answer? Because they are fighting for their job survival. Besides, if they get fed up and quit, they will be replaced with someone else who has to shove the same old shit, so it really is no use getting annoyed with the employees over it. Anyone who has an issue with cashiers upselling should take their complaints to the corporation.
-
The booking of ECW now resembles what I do when I'm half-assing an EWR game.
-
Best Buy has replacement plans for games too, but they aren't really a big deal. I don't think any of the cashiers in my store push it hard (I know they offer it) and no one in my media department ever mentions it. They are really only worth it if you have reckless kids using the game anyway.
-
Thanks for sharing. That does look fake, if you ask me. It reminds me of a while back, a subject at one of my Best Buy meetings was some phony coupons for the store that someone had photoshopped. It was something like $30 off any video game 39.99 and up. We made photocopies of it with the label "fake" on it so that if anyone came in trying to use the coupon, we'd be ready to turn it down. The coupon was really well done too, including the usual fine print and everything. It killed me though, I was working at customer service and I was dealing with a loud, obnoxious woman over some other issue. She then looks down and sees the fake coupon and asks me if she can use it. I tell her that it is a phony, which is why it is there. She looks at me for a couple seconds and goes "So, I can't use it?"

I saw ISIS open for Tool and they were pretty good.

That link isn't working for me. It wouldn't surprise me if it were fake, but the DS is kicking tons of ass right now anyhow.

I was working at Best Buy on Sunday. I got a call from this customer who sounded like he was in his early teens. He wanted to know how much Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was for the PSP. I clarified that it was "Vice City Stories." He told me that I was wrong and there is a version of the full Vice City out for the PSP, because "EB has it." I told him that I didn't have any such title. He then dismissively said "Thank you" and hung up. I would really like to work at the stores where these customers think nonexistent products can be found. I just imagine some jackass coming in and being like "You'll never believe it, this idiot at Best Buy told me that Mario isn't on the 360." and ect.
