The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
SamoaRowe replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
Yeah, once I calmed down and thought about it some more, I would agree with the constitutional road blocks. It's just that those fuckers really made me angry. -
His raps were golden until his face turn. Around that time he either got really lazy writing them, or the creative team took over.
-
To be fair, I don't think anybody's saying you should like watching him wrestle. All people are saying is, don't pretend he doesn't have those merchandise sales just because you don't like him, ala goldengreek. Exactly.

http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/1499.html I wonder if Cena realizes that if him and the Rock were in the ring together for anything... Cena would be booed out of the building. What a clown. When he accomplishes one tenth of what The Rock did then he can talk. Dude cant even get over as a face. If it wasnt for the 13 yr and younger fan base he would be a mid - carder. Like posting record breaking merchandise sales (second only to Hogan, apparently), have a single WWE title run that's longer than all 7 of The Rock's combined, or managing to be just as good as The Rock (if not better) when it comes to the WWE main event style? Kayfabe or not, Cena has actually accomplished quite a lot, especially for the downturn wrestling took this decade. Do you have documantation of proof of those record breaking merch sales or are you just fabricating that? The Rock not having a long title run showed his willingness in putting people over. Cena's long title run turned people off. Its where the Cena hate started. The rock can wrestle circles around Cena . Watch old tapes of The Rock when he first entered the WWE. Source: The Wrestling Observer It's being reported that John Cena's 2008 merchandise sales were the highest single year grossing numbers in company history with the exception of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan. This has to be considered a huge accomplishment considering Cena was out of action for a few months during 2008. Just one example. Okay, my bad, best sales since Hogan and Austin. Notice higher than The Rock's, at least. And you really want me to go look back at Rock's early matches? Are you serious? You're talking about Rocky Maivia, smiling babyface who the fans shit all over? Compare that to Cena's first months where his weaknesses were covered up so well due to the performances he was having with Angle, Jericho, etc. Hell, I don't even remember Cena being as bad as people made him out to be until he hurt his leg at the 2004 Royal Rumble and they kept booking him in rediculous superman matches in the following months to cover for it. I'm not saying you have to love Cena and be a fan of his, but you and lots of other Cena haters really amaze me in that you will not accept facts and reality.

Eh... In one sense, I agree, on the other hand, the double standard bugs me. If the media can spend countless weeks using a private citizen, Rush, as a straw-man boogyman at the behest of the White House and some old Clinton flunkies, they can hold Obama's feet to the fire for more than a day over a remark about the handicap. Besides, Obama is the one who thought it'd be a good idea to go on Leno. Its not anyone but his fault if his comedy is disrespectful. Comparing the media's treatment of Rush Limbaugh to Obama on Leno isn't logical. One is a radio talk show host who apparently holds so much power in the Republican party that the RNC chairman is bending over backwards to apologize to him for remarks made on CNN, and the other is the president of the United States on an entertainment talk show making an ill-advised joke. The media locks on to Rush at times because his entire act is saying things that stir shit up and it actually is rather pathetic to see conservative leaders have to go out of their way to keep him happy.

Even Keith Olbermann was reporting this before the show even aired.

They are also unintelligent, don't feel anything, and are not aware of their own existence. I don't care what scientists do with them.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
SamoaRowe replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
I too hate contract law. Let's fuck over all rich people because some of them made poor decisions at work. [/end sarcasm] They fucked themselves over when they drove their business into needing bailout money in the first place. About a dozen of these executives at AIG took their retention bonuses and then split. That was paid by our tax dollars. And you are defending these guys? Are you yourself rich or something? -

The ECW title stopped being treated as a "World" belt when John Morrison won it. I can remember an episode of Raw where Vince was in complete depression because he'd just lost the ECW title and missed being a "World" champion.

Kudos to JBL for doing this.

I agreed with Mick Foley as GM when he wanted Stone Cold to stop interferring in matches during his quest to find the guy who ran him over. The crowds were booing Foley for wanting Austin to knock it off, and I was annoyed by it because I hated seeing Austin get pops for stunning guys who were otherwise fan favorites.

You have been a Netflix member since May 2004 and have returned 59 titles to date You most recently returned a movie on 27/Feb/09 i.e. 3 days ago You keep titles at home for an average of 10 days You see 6.7 titles by DVD and 28.7 titles by Instant Watch each month It looks like you are on the 3-at-a-time plan which costs $16.99/month Wrong Plan? Fix it! Your cost/DVD rental is $2.55. Your cost/movie (including Instant Watch) is $0.48 You're in the 14th percentile. i.e., 14% of FeedFlixers pay less than you per movie. I was only a member for a month in 2004, I didn't rejoin permanently until late August 2008.

Verne Gagne suspected in death investigation
SamoaRowe replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
Well, it's a good thing that Gagne just killed a room mate and didn't accidentally push over a baby carraige or shove a female nurse out the window. I suppose had Benoit gone nuts on his doctor instead of his family, the brain damage he was suffering from would be taken seriously. I would never make light of the fact that a young boy and a woman lost their lives, but what part of the Benoit autopsy results that said he had the brain of an 80 year old alzeihmer's patient suffering from dementia did you guys not understand? And if we're going to add to the argument that he had a "history of abusing Nancy" I suppose we should be outraged with Mr. 2009 Hall of Fame inductee Stone Cold Steve Austin, because he also has a history of abusing his wives/girlfriends. I'm getting pretty tired of people sporting the attitude that Benoit was always some sort of evil psychopath who was always one temper tantrum away from slaughtering anyone who was in the room with him. He wasn't a perfect, or even great human being throughout his life, but he didn't cross into the field of murderer until hours before his own suicide, and I will remind all of you again that his autopsy showed he was suffering from dementia. It's a mystery why he wasn't showing more obvious signs of this in the weeks and days before his death, but are you guys really going to argue with the autopsy or just sit around and think you know more than trained medical professionals. -

Guys Currently Being Groomed For Top Spots
SamoaRowe replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
It's amazing that I would like to see everyone listed here to continue to be groomed and elevated. It's a great change of pace from a few years ago when it seemed that Carlito and Chris Masters were destined to be the next big deals. I voted for Swagger because the way he shot up the ECW title so quickly makes it seem that they have big future plans for him. I also see Morrison becoming a big deal sooner than later, especially in the way he's mocked Shawn Michaels in the ring. -
Oh darn, fans were eagerly anticipating the return of newly re-signed superstar.
-
118/200. I missed
-
Mine was the July 2002 episode of Raw that featured the Jeff Hardy/Undertaker ladder match. At the time I was really pleased with the show because I got to see Benoit's first television match since his neck surgery, though that aspect of the show isn't really that important to me now.
-
To me it would have to be 2002 because it was the only time I almost stopped watching wrestling all together. Any crappy year prior to that was lost on me mainly because I was too young/uneducated to realize how shitty things actually were.
-
Triple H hasn't won at Wrestlemania since 2003. Orton just won last year. I have a feeling that The Game is going to want to win this year, but I've had this same feeling for the past couple of years, so I'm prepared to be wrong again.
-
You're not going to like this then. This dog owns his own car. And has a wife AND girlfriend on the side. For shame. I want to thank you for that response. It was the first time anything on TSM has ever made me laugh so hard that I had to call my fiance into the room to see it.
