Trying to remember, waht was the first Smackdown after the drafts' card? And I don't mean the one with the "Last Call" for the APA. My memory recollects Mark Henry doing pet tricks with the rest of the roster standing around going "oooh, aaaah."

I would mark for that, but alas... Simmons is gone. Unless this turns out to be a work, like all smarks seem to think everything is these days (Smackdown being uninformed of reset, Lesnar leaving).

This show did succeed in being refreshing. Not everything clicked, but this was much better than the first Smackdown after the initial draft.

I agree with all about the quality of the promo. However, something tells me this smark love will disappear once he wrestles again and we all get a good reminder of why we don't like him. Or maybe he'll carry himself differently now with the new gimmick? We'll just have to wait and see. I think Smarks will bitch since he's not really a WRESTLER...but he might be able to play a heel well and just beat the crap out of the face, getting him heat. I don't know what length of matches he can do, but I guess we'll see. Yes, I cannot imagine Bradshaw being able to handle a 15-20 minute main event match for a ppv. I can imagine the Undertaker's JD match getting the main event slot with Guerrero and Bradshaw getting a nice little 5-10 minute match, that will probably expose Bradshaw anyway. The next two months are going to be interesting to say the very least.

I've been too busy posting to really notice. I think Eddie/Triple H on Raw was a better match (though I was more into it out of fear of HHH potentially winning the title).

You can tell it's a half empty arena. There is hardly any noise from the crowd. You know... if I had been the one in charge, I would have built up this Guerrero/Booker match for the PPV and I would have put Bradshaw in a mid-card feud for JD. This way if we absolutely had to have a Bradshaw main event, he could have had some time to "earn" it and the Eddie/Booker match wouldn't have been blown on Booker's first night on Smackdown.

Yeah... RVD doesn't seem to give a shit. I mean, he even cared about Kane when he was going through his heel turn. At least Booker hasn't handcuffed him and poured gasoline all over him yet. That would have been cool though. Maybe Booker T should start wearing a mask.
