Puffy Ami Yumi sounds more punk-ish when they play live, I hope they put out a live album sometime. There's just more energy in the band, it seems.

Hey, um, thanks Tony, I know you've been praising me a lot and I've been a jerk and haven't said anything, so there, thank you. I'm trying to get better. As usual, everything went well, although the lack of help for Caboose was...odd, I would've expected a rush of the faces or something. My personal favorite match was Jamie vs. Bruce's brother, I forget his name, sorry. Maybe it's just me, I find myself skimming longer matches, I just can't seem to get into these big huge ones, unless they're written by Patty, he's got humor on his side

WWE Cancels 7/4/06 ECW TV @ ECW Arena
Masked Man of Mystery replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Hardcore Homecoming had run out of the ECW Arena, and they approximated a reasonably modern show. Actually, I th ink WEW(I can't believe I bought that DVD...) even pulled off lighting effects there, but I could be wrong. About the only thing they can't do is pyro. -
Worst match you've seen live
Masked Man of Mystery replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
I've been meaning to ask, since I just saw a tape of that match, was Chyna's injury legit, or gimmicked? I don't remember the storyline from then. -

I was going to post this in the bad album covers thread, but this is more inspired by the title of the new Toby Keith album, White Trash with Money. I hate this glorification of red necks thing that seems to be going on. Some people claimed to like George W. Bush because he's "a guy you could have a beer with." If you liked his politics, that's one thing, but no one should vote for ANYONE just because they seem like you. People glorify being ignorant and stupid. Singers become very rich on it(Gretchen Wilson is an obvious representative). Is anyone else annoyed by this, or has a comment on this? -
the shittest album cover in recent memory

Last time I checked, yes, Norah Jones is on Blue Note. I recall when she debuted there was talk of her helping them get back on their feet. -
It looks to me, watching old matches, that most submission were verbal before, and faces would slap the mat the encourage the crowd the clap and cheer to rally for the comeback

When David Flair held the WCW US title, from what I can determine, you were supposed to think it was a joke he held onto it, it was only because Ric was crazy with power, and he lost it as soon as Ric Flair lost power

Who takes the best KO's?

What about the dude who got hit by Tank and looked like his neck was broken, it was bent so unnaturally? -
Of course. I love when people say, ECW will be good if Vince keeps his nose out of it. Hate to break it to everyone, but when he's spending money on it, he's going to want to shape the direction it goes. He doesn't want someone else using what he paid for for their own personal gain and not his. Would any of you? Heyman would gain everything from being allowed to do this on his own. Why should anyone let him? But Vince WOULD reap the profits from added merch and games and such sold because of a hot ECW, would he not?

There was a whole match built around his training on the first ROH show, I know he did the SAT and Amazing Red, I can't remember the others, though

WHOA SEND THAT TO AL FRANKEN Al Franken doesn't really do comedy anymore, send it to Stephanie Miller, she'll do a skit about it Website Wiki of the show she's the daughter of Barry Goldwater's running mate, by the way THAT Stephanie Miller? She had a late night talk show around the time Johnny Carson retired thast lasted about 5 episodes. I remember she had Michael "Worf" Dorn on the show (who I'll admit is a pretty good looking guy without the make-up) and she just about knocked the set over with her tongue hanging out of her mouth. This, folks, is the stuff I remember. Not my mom's birthday. Not my wife's favorite flower. Stuff like this. Its like my brain is specially wired for stupid trivia. I know the feeling about remembering weird stuff, and yes, she does occasionally bring up her old show, but her radio show is lots of fun for a liberal. And you haven't lived until you've heard Jim Ward do Kim Jong Il saying "K to the J to IL in the hizz-ouse!" -
I must admit that was a neat set
-
Ah, so Punk is finally getting some of the resentment AJ Styles gets now
-
I always thought the old stencil logo was good, it helped give the feeling that WCW was wrestling first, silliness later(which it was for a while, i wish I coulda watched it back in its prime)

Gravity is a theory too, calling it a theory doesn't mean there is no proof...and is there some way we can get Chuck Liddel or someone like that in a room with her? Christianity is on the rise in America, I've heard more references to God in the past few years then I did when I was going to Catholic school, almost. Please excuse my multiple edits of this post -
I used to love Star Trek books, but around 2000 or so they weren't as good in my opinion

I like Clapton's version of "I Shot the Sheriff" better than Marley's. It sounds more....I guess apprpriate to me, but to be fair it's also the version I heard first, which is definately a factor, in my opinion -
