I just got the UFC 48 DVD. What was up with Baroni? They said he wanted to take out Tanner so bad, but he looked like a punching bag out there until the last round. Also, why was Tannner going this weird punch and turn thing? Have they said anythign about that stuff? -
Okay, any theories on why half of the Cena match was B&W? And on free TV, JBL got EXPOSED wrestling Angle. I haven't seen his PPV work this year(other than the Rumble) but he just looked so slow and awkward compared to Angle. I hope to God Angle gets the belt, even in transition, Smackdown NEEDS JBL to lose this belt and get away, he's over used and what was a decent gimmick is now getting generic and stupid. Get him off my TV for a month or so.

I still call it the WWF. Also, although it's not true in this case, WWF is also used as a general term for pro wrestling, usually in in a demeaning fashion.

I think he puts it more on Nash actually...

You'd think he'd want to go out the easy way, but who's left for Wanderlei to fight? -

Another thing:on the Sin City DVD, they say Jeremy Horn has won like 100 fights or something. I just checked Sherdog, and they only have him with like 60 wins. Why is there such a large differance? -

SO UFC went from being owned by a non racist company to a racist company? Weird. -
I think Terry Funk has only added to his legacy by continuing to wrestle. Heck, I darn near bought an XPW DVD solely because Funk was on the cover.

Why? Who cares as long as they can fight? They have(or had) Brazillian fighters, at least one Dutch fighter, Japanese fighters, fighters from ALL OVER THE WORLD. WHy in the heck would they not like black fighters, AND, why would he be in the UFC Throwdown game? Also, didn't Maurice Smith come to prominence in UFC? -

Is it just me, or did King of the Cage get a bigger cage than they had when they started. I just found Sin City in Best Buy and the cage looks a lot bigger. Also, why did UFC drop Shonie Carter(or vice versa), he seems to be a somewhat charismatic fighter who can do all kinds of stuff(they say he fights in kickboxing and jiu jitsu tournies) and has all kinds of experience. Any info on this? Also, what is Frank Shamrock doing these days? -
Is this the worst year WWF/E has had since 1995?
Masked Man of Mystery replied to CBright7831's topic in The WWE Folder
I remember getting into wrestling with the very first Smackdown(when it was a special) and seeing the Corporate Ministry and I think the feuds may have been better put together, but the minimal Austin involvement this year helps(I'm sorry, his gimmick revived the fed, but I CANNOT STAND HIS MATCHES. It's true we have to deal with Heidenreich, but in general its more his weirdness we have to put up with rather than his utter lack of talent. -
Yeah...that must be why he had a great TV match with Benoit the night after SSeries. 2000 Benoit > 2000 HHH, btw. Actually, I recall not liking the Radicalz very much that year at all. He did have that nice match with Rock, but I recall them being really held back move wise and using some pretty generic offense.

Steve Austin bores me to tears. He has such a limited arsenal and he likes to go out and brawl on the outside so it gets even more punch-kick. Urgh.

Best Buy has(or had, they might pull them tomorrow) old horror movies for $1 a piece. Nothing remakrable, but there's some enjoyable stuff for fans of old black and white horror flicks.

Didn't the NWA have a ranking system? They seemed to mention that in the Flair/Funk feud on the Flair set, where Flair said tat he had to wretsle the top ten contenders for the belt and Terry wasn't on the list because he apparently had been out doing a movie or something before Funk piledrove him onto a table(which did not break, that had to be unpleasant)? I'd be hip for the weight class idea, being a MMA mark and all, but I think the main problem is we need better wrestling and some better storylines.

What happened, exactly, to the women's division? I don't get Raw since I don't have cable, but I recall at Wrestlemania 19 a pretty strong match with a lot of good wreslting, albeit it seems none of them know how to throw a punch. Now they have a Gail Kim who, by all acounts, has improved by going to this submission style, so what, exactly, is wrong? I've heard about Victoria's gimmick change and all, but her wrestling skill should still be there. I think the biggest problem facing WWE right now is sheer stagnation. The same people are doing the same things(other than Kidman and London). Carlito is a decent wrestler and he plays his gimmick well enough, but it's boring, one dimensional, and a tired cliche. Heidenreich just sucks, and the fact that he's made out to be really tough is kinda hard to keep when he hardly wrestles(beside the fact that he's dressed in Goldberg's gear painted red) I haven't seen Snitsky, so I can't comment on him. I think the main problem is that the talent in the ring just isn't there in so many matches that we can deal with the stories. Bradshaw is atrocious, and he's so protected. Taker has a cool entrance, a few spots, and not much else. Rey doesn't seem to want to take the risks he did that made my jaw drop when he debuted. There's just so much deadweight and silliness and the whole thing is so bogged down, and that's why the belts mean nothing. People SHOULD be able to beat JBL. There's no accomplishment there. It's just so screwed up. WWE needs Rocky or heck, Tommy Dreamer, or SOMEBODY to shake things up.

It's decent. I think Rampage shows up somewhere in there too, but there's also a set with the first two shows floating around that's probably not much more cash, and if you like ground work, KOTC is the place to be, a lot of BJJ guys going to the ground, a lot of judge's decisions because they work short fights -
Let's Help WWE Creative Out

Here's a feud that's so beatiful because it's so simple: John Cena returs heel, and gets confronted by Rico. That'll produce at least a month worth of material, and it'll actually be funny because of Rico, or he can get dead serious about why Cena has such a problem with gay people, or we can twist it and have Rico say that the people Cena calls gay aren't good enough for Rico, or man oh man, this could go all over the map. -
Is there anywhere to find out information...

Flair's theme, as stated before, is a piece of classical music. I got it preformed by the British Philharmonic(or something) for $5 along with some other stuff by the fellow at a bargain store. I'm pretty sure its public domain now. -

When you guys say Igor, are you talking about Igor Volchanchen(or however his name is spelled)? -
I think its an insult to call Elix Skipper the best cruiserweight in WCW. He's probably pretty darn good(haven't seen much of him myself) but that division was loaded at one point.

I'm a huge Beach Boys fan and I was wondering if anyone's picked up the album, and if it sound like the Beach Boys. I know he had to get new people, but does it have that classic Beach Boys feel?

What songs would make great entrance themes?
Masked Man of Mystery replied to JoeDirt's topic in Music
I think "Elevation" by U2 could be used to great effect by a Paul London type or Kevin Randleman if he wnats to wrestle just so he could have an excuse to do those freakish jumps he does to his music
