Well what was the point then for those who weren't? How do we judge selections without putting them to use?
-
Sent the picks by PM but forgot to include TB score, so ATL will score 24.

Yeah. San Diego only has two "probable" wins on that schedule (Oakland and KC), and those aren't guaranteed anyways. Then you have them playing Indy, Atlanta, Tampa and Denver. That's too much for them to overcome.

Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
I just wanted to point out that for those who have been saying that, remember Lashley was a former military man. If he can't take a punch, I'd hate to think of who is still defending this country. -
I don't think Angle should or would do MMA, seriously, but I've learned not to trust common sense with Angle. Remember how we were so sure he wasn't jumping to TNA, and he ended up doing it. I'm just saying I wouldn't be SO surprised to see Angle in MMA, if only for a match, to prove something. But I'd hope not for his body's sake.

We were serious about that? People were actually drafting without an idea in mind?!
-
Obviously I think Obama was the right choice here, but the whole thing about people embracing Obama so easily reminds me of the bible and Revelations. It'd be interesting if everything follows that prediction as it has begun to.

Doesn't Dana want Angle in the UFC (as long as they have his exclusive rights)? It's not that laughable an idea.

I don't even care Pedroia won the award. I'm just befuddled why Morneau would in theory be the Twins' MVP when Mauer is right there.
-
Won't happen. NFL will want the 49ers somewhere in California near San Francisco. To say they'll move is like saying the Green Bay Packers will move or Chicago Bears. The Chargers are more likelier, but they're still trying to find a home in Southern California first. Vegas would be the last resort option for them.

Like I said, losing by 37 isn't the death knell. The Cowboys lost by 41 to the Vikings in 1970, and still made the title game. It's still two even matched teams. But I'm being silly to respond to a guy who actually believed Kiffin was to blame for the Raiders' mess.

I misread. I just don't like that this one game wipes out everything Chicago did right so far this season. Remember, this team wasn't even supposed to contend to begin with. They lost two games in a row to an undefeated Tennessee team and "Chicago's #1 enemy" Green Bay on the road. All of sudden the Packers are so much better than the Bears. It just doesn't make sense to me.
-
Because a good team (or even just decent) has never lost badly. You're right. Guess the Bears should focus on getting Tim Tebow now then?
-
If playoffs started now: AFC- 1. New England, 2. Denver, 3. Houston, 4. Pittsburgh, 5. Kansas City, 6. Jacksonville NFC- 1. Philadelphia, 2. Minnesota, 3. San Francisco, 4. Carolina, 5. Dallas, 6. Atlanta I think...

Hey, we get it. You hate the name. Move on, Maz.

Dama, it's good that you're toning down your OU homerism. But let's not get carried away. Oklahoma will handle State just fine. But hey, feel free to lose. USC needs the help.

You do know the same can be said of the Packers, right? Actually. After reading everything in this thread, I want to say that people are idiots for not seeing that they are just about even matched. Both are "incredibly inconsistent" and "better than their record indicates". I mean, clearly I don't have much room to talk about that two days after a shitty game by the Bears and a good game by the Packers, but who's to say this won't happen again in reverse in Chicago? I don't see Rodgers winning that game there. Then after that, we're back to square one, since they match up quite nicely in every tiebreak scenario, I think.

Who's quarterbacking the Bearcats? I know it isn't Ben Mauk. Wasn't Dustin Grotzka hurt at some point this season?

Why do people think when others complain about the lack of salary cap, it only applies towards the Yankees management? There are other teams out there that makes the market as loopy as it is, not just Yankees. edit: And yes I'm including my White Sox here too.
-
It does, because spending doesn't guarantee winning. Doesn't mean a cap isn't needed.

Survivor Series 96 and Judgment Day 2000 say hello. Just sayin. Hello what? Guy's right. X7 was the pinnacle of each man's career.

What's wrong with New Orleans that people think the fucking Lions could beat them? I know they're not doing hot record-wise, but they have Brees don't they?

Undefeated in the Pac-10? With USC and Cal around? That's a hard sell to me. Ditto for Big 12 with Oklahoma and Vince Young's Longhorns. But 11-1 seems possible.
