He was never a Buccaneer? He went from Oakland to Green Bay.
-
I think two or three years ago.
-
The problem is you guys overpaid for an unreliable receiver, and so far, it seems like they are trying to compensate for that by having him be the next Randy Moss, inconveniently forgetting that he is no Moss.
-
I don't know how good their other receivers are in the short yard passing game but Berrian isn't in Minnesota for the 4 yard catches.
-
In all seriousness, how long is Jackson's leash this year? Surely it can't be as long as Grossman's leash was in 2006/2007 Chicago, right?
-
He's a virgin, what do you expect?
-
I guess he wants Orton to be doing burning hammers or the northern lights bombs.
-
That'd be a problem. If they insist on the deep ball, that's not something Booty is prepared to offer the team.
-
I did say Jackson looked terrible too. But remember, I'm a Bears fan. I'm not going to hand out praise to Green Bay players that often. Rodgers however, is definitely on the right track.
-
And yet the Vikings still don't. Howboutdat. Yeah, 6 or so free downs within your 5 yard line is equal to ONE 30 yard free down that you have to still go about 50 yards... As a side, can the announcers please shut up about Favre? I'm sure even Favre himself at this point is rolling his eyes at every mention of his name.

To a wrestling fan? Ask them. They buy the move as a legitimate striking finisher. Remember, this is the same company that pushed a simple elbow drop mixed with gestures as a legitimate finisher as well. The Concussion Kick is awesome considering.
-
I swear that's exactly what I was gonna say.
-
Rodgers looks great when he's given free downs, I'll admit.
-
It's early but both Rodgers and Jackson looks like shit. I guess since Peterson looks like he can run "all day" on that defense, I'll take the Vikings here.

I think Rashard Mendenhall was a better running back last year than Beanie Wells is this year, and USC handled Mendenhall and Co. just fine.

Well keep in mind Jericho is like 36/37/38, Shawn is almost 45. One would think the dude who's younger, had a 2 year layoff not too long ago, and has more "meat" on him would recover faster than the older guy who's always banged up and looks like a skinny geek. Let's keep in mind that Jericho did NOTHING in the match. He took a full minute to get to the ring and as soon as he entered, he took a spear from Batista and rolled out to the floor until the last 10 seconds. It's not as if Jericho was hopping around the ring during the match doing lionsaults. Were you trying to refute my point or add to it?

Did he do it for the people.... did he do it for Deuce?
-
Obviously if they had to write him out of the match, they wanted a new champion. It's either this or he is there in person to lose the belt physically. It's like some people think if he was allowed into the match, he was going to win for sure.

That's true except that time when his Chargers started the year 1-3 and eventually went on a 8 game winning streak. You know, umm what year was it? Oh right, last year. The Norv Turner cracks need to die down, and quickly. The Chargers are not a team he's gonna fuck up with. Hell he didn't fuck up in Washington either when they had a decent season, before Daniel Snyder decided to screw with the formula. As for Forte/Payton+Sayers, I'm not going to pay a single piece of attention to any of that. I'm happy enough he showed that for one week at least, the Bears does have a viable running game.
-
Because he has a rare distinction for starting for Chicago right out of the gate, like Payton did. I think that's where the comparison really ends. Well that and Forte seems to already want to be as good a blocker as a runner or receiver, which was a Payton trademark.

I know, and I wasn't saying you suggested it. I was saying that if VY went out at any point, and the backup quarterback played well enough, I don't see how they'd want him back when he's ready to come back. It seems to me that he's losing a lot of support in Tennessee for whatever reasons. It's sort of like if the injury gives the Titans a chance to preview their success without VY, and I'm not sure that's something that his fans want.

It's formatted like a motivational poster. To lampoon the usual spiel that you see on those posters.
-
But as bad as VY has seemed to regress, I don't know if him being out a month helps the team. Yeah they'll win some games but I have to wonder about how they'll play when he comes back. How well-liked is VY on that team in relation to the credit for whatever success they have? edit: Ahhh here it is. A "NFL Rumor" by CBSSportsline-

Fixed.
