Marvin, I don't know the exact number, but I think that the 3+ million fans they get for USA's Raw or 2+ million for CW's SD or 1+ million for Sci Fi's ECW far outweighs the thousands of subscribers they might get for the network.

What I care for is fair compensation for putting your body on the line each time you fight. It's not about getting a big house or getting 5 cars or getting the latest fashion line in your closet. It's about having the good security to retire on your own terms. Granted you're right that some fighters would blow their paychecks on the hot thing and end up broke as hell, but look at someone like Randy Couture. Are you telling me that man doesn't know how to manage his money well? I am not thinking that fighters need to make 200 thousand per fight, but I do think they need 25 to 50 thousand per fight, and that comes out to 150 to 200 thousand per year if you fight 3 or 4 times.

HTQ/CTP just posted the link to the soundbyte of the ideas at the top of the page. (Well the last page, but it was quoted on the top of this one)

Because he wants the money. He's not leaving without the 63 and change.

NFL Week 6: The Bills Could Not Pay Their Way To A Win
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to Nate's topic in Sports
Well Green Bay still doesn't really have a running game to speak of, and Washington did destroy the last pass-oriented team they faced (Detroit). I can understand where they'd think the same of this week's game, but I don't think that will happen. -
Examples of a Wrestler TRULY Being Put Over
USC Wuz Robbed! replied to zappafrank's topic in General Wrestling
Let's see. The true definition of being put over is being placed on the higher tier above the guy doing the putting over, or replacing his spot while he goes into your old spot underneath you. Did Triple H do this? No. If it is assumed that HHH is getting the big win at Mania, then HHH would simply replace Randy Orton as the champion while retaining his spot as a "franchise player". -

That's what I've been arguing for years now. You can't fault a guy who wanted to exercise a LEGAL CLAUSE in his contract. It might have been markish of him to not want to job the belt to his most hated enemy in his home country, but he had legal right to do so. -
I doubt Kreski was given control who went over in matches. So you can't fault him for booking decisions.

I'm hopeful for that. If Sanchez does well against Arizona, I don't see a circumstance where Carroll could go back to Booty. And I don't think Mustain would be eligible this season to play. So the only way Booty gets back in is if Sanchez is doubly worse than him, which I don't really see. I do wonder why Carroll didn't swap the quarterbacks when he noticed that they were only 6 points up on Stanford so late in the game.

NFL Week 6: The Bills Could Not Pay Their Way To A Win

How did Moore wind up on the Panthers roster? Last I saw him was as a Dallas Cowboy in the preseason. -
So people complain about Arizona fans not giving a shit then they see Arizona fans caring enough to throw bottles on the field and they complain. Make up your minds, people!
-
Good news for Booty haters- USC announced that they will be starting QB Mark Sanchez this Saturday against Arizona. We'll see if Sanchez is the real deal, and if not, we might as well punt this season and look forward to next season with Mitch Mustain at QB.

Yeah. Let's pay them pennies to get their brains bashed in.
-
No it's because they think they can trade for anyone, no matter what, with their shittier players.

I sense it's just Iggy not wanting to give USC some props, because the only teams that I think could give USC problems in the chase for the conference title are Cal and Oregon. USC will beat one or the other (I'd figure Oregon) and that leaves one to contend with USC. I think the way things fall, Cal probably wins the conference outright and USC finishes second. The Rose Bowl will either have USC (if Cal somehow goes to the BCS title game) or Cal (if they're snubbed or loses a game or two along the way).
-
How does that work? I thought Varejao was more a sixth man type player? I thought Gooden was the starting PF and Ilgauskas the starting C?
-
He booked the re-start? What exactly were his ideas for that?

Does knowing a simillar plot line...

I don't know. Kids might be so jaded they would just sit there and watch then go "Well it's not me." I really think for a program like that to be effective, there must be a real risk of the kids themselves getting harmed (hypothetically), like put them in a room with real lifers who's not above doing stuff to kids, unsupervised. Of course the parents would have to sign a waiver to say "Whatever happens in that room, this prison is not liable for". -

It would work better without cameras and the kids being locked in the room unsupervised. -
And Utah. The funniest part is: His mind must be warped if this is a REASONABLE guess.

If UCLA does beat Oregon and Cal and lose to USC, they'd be co-Pac-10 champions with Oregon, holding the tiebreaker, if USC loses another Pac-10 game (which is what I'm assuming in this scenario, that they lose to either Cal or Oregon on the road). That's what I figured Iggy was trying to go for here, but he has USC in the Sugar Bowl instead of the other co-Pac 10 champion.
-
If the two teams you are thinking of are the D-Backs and the Yanks, then I couldn't agree more with you. Although I'd really like to see Colorado win it all. They were my favorite team when I was a kid (my little league team had their name), as for some reason I didn't care much for the Dodgers, but went to a lot of their games. They're still in...
-
Not too long ago you had Oregon pegged the conference champion. Nothing changed besides the fact that they lost to Cal. And yet you have neither in the bowl scene and you have some out of place random Pac-10 team in instead.

Wasn't one of the spoiler tagged references a Twilight Zone episode? -
The musical number seemed written just for the sake of having Kristen Chenoweth sing.
