  1. Ok, in the fanofcoils thread, there's those discussions about sniper bans and who deserves a ban/who doesn't. Personally I think the people who were banned, they deserved it, not so much because I don't like them, but more because they had nothing of value to offer. Now for some reason, there are people on this board that seems to share that opinion, however, it's of ME. I don't understand why. I would like to preface that with that I'm not crying about it, not complaining about it, or anything. I'm just legitimately confused as to why people think I'm so terrible. Now it's just the internet, and people shouldn't care what the others think of them, however it is opinions that creates a dynamic on the board, whether it's a positive one or negative one. Take a look at those people who are "established" like Slayer, FFMS, etc, and for the most part, people take to them positively. They're allowed to delve into discussions without someone *coughs* bob barron *coughs* comes in and intentionally try to make the poster look bad, just because he doesn't like that poster. Now truth be told, I'm guilty of this, with past incidents involving Damaramu, EHME, etc. Two years ago, I first became a father. I still retained my personality, because for the most part, one kid is pretty much easy to handle, so I was able to have some "me" time on-line, which was spent on various forums like this one. Last January, however, my little daughter was brought in the world. Now any parents of more than 1 child will know that it's a lot harder to handle two kids. You'd have to keep a close eye on a toddler, in addition to a newborn. Tough but I manage. I love my kids, and while I may come off like an asshole or whatever on the board, I'm for the most part a nice guy who looks out for my friends or family. My wife's in-laws just loves me because of how well I take care of their daughter, and how I am one of those dads who spends a lot of time with his kids. One of the advantages of being a dad at such a young age is that my body hasn't deteriorated yet, so I am able to keep pace with my son, who likes to keep himself active. I also take on a large load of changing my kids' diapers or feeding them or whatnot. Not that I want a medal or anything, don't get me wrong, but that's how it is in my household. The reason I'm talking about this, is because I frankly don't have time for my detractors. They don't know who I am, they look at a few posts of mine, and decree me an idiot or someone not worth their time. That's fine if I rub them the wrong way, but the last thing I need is for a bob barron or whoever to come in right after my posts and just try to take me down a notch. The internet is about opinions. Am I not allowed to express mine? When my daughter came into my life, I realized, life is too precious and short, that you know what? All the grudges, all the petty bullshit, it didn't matter anymore. Leena hates me, fine. Bob Barron hates me, fine. Whoever else, if they hate me, that's fine. If that's the case, just put me on ignore and leave it at that. It's not so hard. I would much rather be ignored than be ragged on for no apparent reason other than a vendetta. As EHME would say, "they're just catching feelings". Well stop it. If you are a legal adult, act like it. Stop all the petty bullshit. I buried my hatchet with Damaramu, so you won't be seeing any more Porter/Dama crap in college football threads. I think I buried my hatchet with EHME, so nothing between us either. When I first joined, I spoke with Czech Republic and Bob Barron on AIM. We seemed to have civil conversations. I told Bob I enjoyed his SNL recap. I talked about the Cubs with Czech despite my team being the White Sox. Now they're acting like I'm the bane of their existence, it's just stupid and silly. So in closure, I'm giving those detractors a rare opportunity. An opportunity to get rid of me without waiting for the admin to deem me undesirable and taking me out with a sniped ban. If you want me gone, just say so. I will not waste any more time on this board if I'm not wanted. Also, if there are ANYONE who feels that I'm a decent guy or a guy worth talking to, and I got banned/exiled, then my AIM SN is Slasherflick, so shoot me an IM whenever you wanna talk wrestling/sports/etc. Thanks for reading. And my apologies if this sounded emo-ish. I just needed to get it off my chest. Well toodles.
  2. Can't knock you for keeping the collector's edition over '06. The only reason I keep buying each edition is because of the rookies that come in each year. Just doesn't feel right playing a 2006 season without guys like Alex Smith, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams, etc.
  3. Madden 2005? Get on with the times, man. Seriously though, don't the Steelers have a good TE already? In Heath Miller?
  4. Friday night... that's the night that most people, besides Saturdays of course, go out to hang/have fun/etc. As for me, it was spent in the recently renamed ipayOne Arena, watching the San Diego Gulls (AA affliate of the Colorado Avalanche) play against the Phoenix Roadrunners. It was my first "professional" hockey game in person. What I saw was absolutely POORLY played hockey. I excused it as the players not really being good enough, it's not NHL, after all, but my god. Has the referees ever heard of the term "icing"? Isn't that shit illegal? I must have missed the memo where it was now allowed. I saw many instances of icing in the game. There was only one "fight", which involved both teams resembling a mosh pit in the corner of the rink. Mick Foley wrote in his book how shameful it was that he saw lacrosse players get in needless fights just to boost ratings/attendances. I saw that last night. It seemed like the players were attempting to create fights with each other for no reason other than just because. It was just terrible. It made me appreciate the NHL much more. Too bad the NHL is the red-haired bastard stepchild of the sports world. Oh the Gulls lost, 3-1. Today, I decided to just relax, and wanted to do a "mini-marathon" of Arrested Development, courtesy of my new DVD set. My wife dropped the bombshell that my company was required as she went to the mall to get Easter stuff to make a basket for my son, so I went along with her. We picked out some cute stuff for the basket, so I think our son will enjoy it immensely, as he's big on cars and I bought a lot of cars for the basket. I just came home, and now I'm just going to chill out before resuming my file of Kingdom Hearts II, which is two days overdue at Hollywood Video, oops. Just filling an entry so it doesn't stagnate. Toodles.
  5. ... *hands the trophy to you*.
  6. I have that all beat. I have ZERO friends left from high school. Though I don't mind, because they haven't changed while I have, so it's not the same dynamic anymore. As for the chick, just let her be stupid. Her kid will punish her for the rest of her life as it is.
  7. I believe that if Vince had HIS vision of a closure (where he invariably will end up looking better than Bret or Shawn), he would let it go. However you know Bret won't agree to any storyline conclusion if it didn't have him avenging the screwjob. Besides at this point I don't think Bret will even agree to Vince going "Hey Bret? A word with you if I may..." because he'd know something was up.

Lushus, Im going to report you to your daughter who I am currently contacting via internet.
  10. If you were a wrestler, would you: Prefer to be given only finish and call everything else in the ring? Lay the entire match out beforehand? I would prefer to just plan out a few highspots and such, then call the rest of the match on the fly. Like to have your promo's scripted? Or just be given a couple of bullet points, and wing the rest? If I had to speak (which I wouldn't really want to), I'd do it from the heart/on the fly. Blade often? Only on occasion? Would you rather never blade at all? Only when the situation calls for it, like in the blowoff to a grudge feud. I'd likely do it once every few years, to make it special. What style would you like to wrestle? Why would you prefer to employ that particular style over others? I would either work the technical style with a little high-flying and brawling mixed in a la Benoit at his prime. The reason for this is because I find it to be more challenging than jumping off the top rope in a "LETS SEE WHO CAN DO A 720 FIRST!" contest or just beat each other up without rhyme or reason. Refuse to take certain moves? Only take them when working with certain wrestlers? No dangerous head droppers unless I'm working with someone who has a track record of making it a safe thing to take, if that's possible. Are there any match types you'd like to wrestle in a lot? Some match types you'd rather never have to work in? Anything that challenges my wrestling ability, like a 60-minute broadway or 2/3 falls or anything that challenges my ability to keep the fans drawn in. No deathmatches or matches where I have to get beaten the hell out of for no reason than to pop the crowds. What style of normal match would you like to do the most? Would you prefer to sell or to dominate? Would you like to do long matches? Considering I work better as a heel, I'd probably want to lead the matches, hence be a smidge more dominant than not. I'll sell the babyface comebacks though. Yes I'd love to do long matches. I've worked a few 45 minute matches without problems. Would you like to have a manager or valet to work spots with or would you rather just do it all yourself? Considering I would prefer not to talk, I'd likely employ the use of a manager to get my strong points over. In the match though, I'd like to work alone or if his presence is needed, without too much interference. Are there some types of angles that you would refuse to do? Some types of angles that you'd love to do? The obvious answer is WWE's crap. I would also not want to do anything where the woman is the central figure of the angle, just because the character I do would have no need for a woman. I'd love to do angles where I am in a bitter "Who's better?" feud against who would be viewed as my archnemesis. What promotion would you like to work for the most? What promotion would you hate to work for? Honestly, I wouldn't mind working for TNA to see if I could help shed the "Jeff Jarrett Show" stigmata. I also would work in Mexico or Japan. I would hate to work for WWE or XPW. What promotion of the past would you most liked to have worked for? What promotion would you have hated working for the most? 1980s NWA/early 1990s AJPW. Would hate working for WWF/E in any era and late 1990s WCW. Any wrestlers today that you'd like to work against? Any you would avoid working against at all costs? I'd like to work against the usual suspects like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Daniels, Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe, etc. Would avoid working with stiff people like Low Ki and would avoid working with WWE's roiders. What wrestlers from the past would you like to work against? What wrestlers from the past would you not want to work against? Dynamite Kid is my #1 choice. I would also like to work against Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky Steamboat, Sting, etc. Wouldn't work against any stiffs in WWE's history, and Hulk Hogan, HBK, Nash, HHH etc just because they'd probably badmouth me after I put them through a classic match.
  11. I played a little of the demo. I like how you can tell the road agent to plan out a match with the wrestlers so that you'd get a desired effect from the crowds/match. I didn't like that the fans shat on my impossibly perfect wrestler (100% in everything) in a squash designed to showcase his ability.
  12. When I play, I usually like to start up from scratch with a new promotion. Just to see my mettle as a promoter.
  13. I had the displeasure of viewing this on Taker's DVD. It's truly a match for the ages...
  14. They probably weren't keyed in to the finishes which were likely concocted seconds before the participants went out to do the match.
  15. Yes. At one point they were in negotiations with a lot of WWF workers such as Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, etc.

    A small rant

Somehow I think CarnivalizComing really doesn't believe what he says, but just wants to argue for the sake of arguing. Rrsh, I can tell, really believes what he says.
  18. Sorry my computer timed out so I accidentally double posted.
  19. That blows. I know what it's like to be responsible for a sibling's pet and then have it die and be yelled at despite showing every sign of caring for it. Hopefully your mom realizes internally (because you know they won't admit it, MOTHERS!) that she was in the wrong here.
  20. I don't think you're doing anything wrong as much as you don't seem to have a great knowledge and/or understanding of wrestling. You're not bad by any means, but you're still rough around the edges, and the only thing that can fix that is experience. Just watch more, say less, figure out why A leads to B, and you'll get there. Thanks for the advice. Ironically enough I've been watching since late 1980s but haven't become a "smark" til the 2000's.
  21. Let me know what I'm doing wrong. I really want to improve the quality of my posting.
  22. I'm curious to see what you think of me outside that lame and silly Legdrop thread....
