    Foley vs. Orton

Apart from the WM Match (which was only good because of the performances of Rock and Flair) and the promo where Foley cut his own skin, the Foley/Orton storyline hasn't done much for me at all. The two just don't 'click' like Foley/Rock and Foley/Taker. I just can't believe that this is Foley's gravest challenge yet, like he keeps telling us it is. Benoit's Title Run was the best executed storyline of the past year IMHO.

    TNA Deal Seems likely

5000 households?! Australia, with a population less than a tenth of the US, compiles it's TV ratings from a sample of about 2000 households. I know that Nielson pays people a whole bunch of money to come up with the right formula and stuff, but this really doesn't add up, especially when you consider how many more channels American cable TV has on us.

    TNA Deal Seems likely

Can someone fill me in on how big a channel Fox Sports Net is? I know it's a national cable network, but how big is its audience compared to say, Spike TV?
  4. Rikishi and Bob Holly. They just bore me to tears.

    Raw gets a 4.3 rating

Nobody here knows what Vince thinks of Shane as a businessman, what his backstage relationship is with him, or whether Stephanie is more likely to take over, so what's the point in arguing? It's fun to speculate, but the fact is, nobody knows shit about what Vince's plans are.

    Wrestlemania one hit wonders

Didn't Arn interfere during the Flair/Taker match at WM 18? Or am I thinking of a RAW segment?

The Greatest Video Packages Of All Time

Nothing tops the WWF History package they showed before the nWo invaded, with Lonely Road of Faith in the background. I watch that whenever I get fed up with the WWE, and it shuts me up quick smart. Awesome stuff.

George W Bush makes joke about lack of WMDs

Yeah, but a few hundred American troops didn't die looking for semen stains on Monica's dress.

    Blair meets Gadaffi

Isn't diplomacy a better solution to neutralise a threat than a war? Why 'take out' Gadaffi through conflict when he no longer poses a threat? Didn't you oppose the war in Iraq? And now you're having a go at Blair for resolving a conflict through diplomacy? What exactly SHOULD he have done?

The most shocking news in the history of WWE...

Yeah, because the crowd HATE The Undertaker, good looking women and Goldberg.

    Which concerns you more?

I hate when American's bitch about gas prices. Like, your highest prices are the equivalent of about 63c Australian per litre. Right now, I pay 95c a litre. So until your "gas" prices get that high, I'd worry more about Usama and his buddies.

Just so you know what you're voting for...

Ok. Jobber says that RIGHT NOW, Iraq with terrorist attacks occuring weekly, destroying marketplaces, the Red Cross and all manner of heavily populated areas, is more dangerous for the average Iraqi than having Saddam still running the show. Now. How does that make him a 'disgusting piece of shit' and a Nazi Sympathiser? He said he SUPPORTED getting rid of Saddam. He said that yes, EVENTUALLY Iraq would be a better, and safer place. All he said was that right now, Iraq is just as dangerous, if not MORE dangerous, than when Saddam was running wild over the country. It's a valid statement. For the everyday Iraqi, who managed to escape the grip of Saddam, having their local marketplace exploded by a terrorist nutjob has made their life more dangerous. It doesn't mean Jobber has a hard-on for Saddam.

Spain to pull all troops out of Iraq

Maybe Spain just didn't think it was worth risking another 130 lives for a war that was never in their national interest to begin with? Deposing Saddam was great, I think it should have been done years ago, but how did it make Spain safer? Wouldn't Spain have been better off focusing their resources on their own counter-terrorist measures than engaging in a war which 90% of their public opposed? How come the United States claims to fights for democracy worldwide, but when Spain exercises its democracy, they get branded cowards and traitors?

    Least Funny Mainstream Comedians

    Leno and Sandler.
  22. They don't HAVE to run less shows if they end the brand extension. That's the argument for the brand extension I never really understood. You can still have two touring groups and one 'brand'. Ending their Brand Extension would be good for business. It would consolidate the WWE's depleted roster, allow them to cut the fat and still run the same amount of TV. The WWE were making money in 2001 before the brand split, why is today different? Business is still down, all the brand extension does is limit the possibilities for new feuds and angles and make for stale house shows. And the argument that it's necessary to create new stars is crap too. The WWF created new stars during 97-00, and they didn't have the need for a forced split. Overhaul creative, merge the brands and then you've got a marketable product.

Brock Lesnar quits WWE after Mania!

I like the bashing of Brock because no other main eventer has EVER done something like this before. Bret Hart refused to job to HBK. HBK refused to put over Austin until he was eventually 'convinced', and had previously 'lost his smile' and deserted the WWF at one of its lowest points. Steve Austin quit the WWE. The Rock left the WWE to go film movies. Triple H has single handedly manipulated RAW into a one-man show. Hogan did the same in WCW. The Ultimate Warrior deserted the WWF three times. Brock is just doing what every other main eventer has done in the past, look out for himself. That's how the business works. It's his career and it's his life, there's no point talking about whether he was justified to do it or not, because we're not Brock. We don't know what he's going through. The WWE, on the other hand, did. They failed to do anything about it, so now they're paying the price AGAIN. Hopefully this forces them to re-evaluate how they treat their talent, because with Rock, Foley, Goldberg and Lesnar leaving after Mania, Angle, HBK, Flair and Austin unable to work full schedules or at all, their big new star Orton floundering, they're left with Benoit, Guerrero and Cena. These three all HAVE to go over at Wrestlemania for the WWE to secure their future.
