From the Inside for this week

Me and my brother had a wrestling match on some beanbags and we charged my mother $5 admission and we gave ourselves $2 each so we made $1 profit Does that mean we're better than TNA?

    This talk about TNA Expansion

I know the NWA World Title's lineage can kind of be traced to the WWE RAW World Championship, but I don't see how the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, held by men such as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes and Harley Race, is less prestigious than a title held by a guy named 'Samoa Joe'.

    Islamic nations cite US threat

Was it their Prime Minister who said that "Jews Run the World" and such comments? Wow, that doesn't show us any underlying hate, eh? Lots of people in lots of countries hate America, it doesn't mean they're a threat to you or your country. The way people in this thread have grouped every Islamic nation, every Islamic person in those nations and every Islamic terrorist in one big group called 'they' scares me more than some pithy comments made by the Malaysian Prime Minister. At least he had the sense to single out a few countries.

    Matchs for next week

Jack, I did the HSC last year. If you can't spare two hours to watch TNA, then you're studying WAAAAYYYYY too much.

    This talk about TNA Expansion

If you think Jeff Hardy only brought in 50-100 fans then you're on the same drugs he is. Do you know how big the fat goth chick fanbase he has is? (Insert fatty joke here) And the TNA needs 25,000 buy to break even thing doesn't apply these days. They've significantly reduced their costs by broadcasting from a smaller arena and eliminating the fireworks and stuff. It's closer to 15-20k now.

    TNA bits from the Observer

The Dusty Rhodes thing and how it affected the major players (Jarrett/Russo/AJ) is just a small example why TNA's storylines are light years ahead of the WWE. They're complex, but still lead to a simple payoff.

    Islamic nations cite US threat

I'd really like to know how a country like Malaysia, which was present at this conference, is 'a threat to the West'.

    10/10, but I'm Australian and we're smarter

    TNA bits from the Observer

I saw him on the WWA PPV, and he managed to make a Lex Luger match slightly entertaining. Keep in mind that match, the Flair match from Nitro, and the TNA match all took place after Sting hadn't been an active wrestler for a few months. I still think Sting can be a credible, entertaining main eventer for any organisation. And isn't Sting contracted for three more appearances anyway? Or was that just an option? I always thought he'd come back because he always talked about how Jerry Jarrett gave him his big break in the business, so he felt like he owed him.

TNA News From Jason Powell's VIP Report

Nooooo You see Choken One, it's Jarrett's fault because he hired the biggest name in the business and started the most interesting angle of 2003 in the build-up to TNA's biggest event ever, and gave them their best chance ever to become a legitimate competitor to the WWE. Can't you see how EVIL he is?!

Because they're underpushed. If Booker or Benoit had been on top of the WWE for a decade or so, they'd ask for their blood too.

    TNA bits from the Observer

I never got the 'Sting doesn't love wrestling anymore' thing in WCW late 2000, when he feuded with Jarrett. Every match Sting had in that feud he was on fire. I've never seen Sting phone in a performance. Even his TNA match he performed better than I thought he would. IMHO he's easily one of the great wrestlers of the modern era and would make an awesome addition to TNA's regular cast.

From the Inside for this week

Why? The Security feud involves real wrestlers. It's no different from a feud between two stables, they're just called 'Red Shirt Security' and 'Black Shirt Security'. And the Jarrett/Russo storyline has been one of the best booked long-term angles in recent history.

    Something I've noticed...

Face Foley or Rock at WM 2000, face Jericho before then, face Kane (this is the best example of when Triple H should have swallowed his pride instead of Vince's semen. Kane's character had been tarnished so much by the Katie Vick shit that the World Title was the only thing that could have saved him. I don't get the logic in making Kane a necropheliac murderer and having him LOSE the feud.), face Booker (the fact that Booker suffered a back injury two months later is no reason why he had to job at Wrestlemania, the place where faces are meant to go over). I don't see how you can justify a three year long period where Triple H never lost a feud.

From the Inside for this week

This cracks me up. Who was the writer, Bob Ryder? God, if Ring Of Honor had the weekly PPV gig that TNA has, they would be getting way more buys. Same goes for IWA Mid South and other indies that blow TNA out of the water. Borash is on crack. No chance in hell. Neither of those promotions have the star power of TNA. Samoa Joe doesn't get PPV buys. Jeff Jarrett, Dusty Rhodes and Hulk Hogan do.

    Something I've noticed...

Back to the Jarrett/Trips thing, I think it's pretty simple. Jarrett is a face. Triple H is a heel. As a face, Jarrett is meant to WIN feuds. Triple H, as a heel, is meant to ultimately lose them. Name one feud Triple H has lost in the last three years (remember he's only been a face for 6 months since 2000). The only problem I have with Jarrett is his occassional super-hero saves on TNA. I have no problem with the results of his feuds.

TNA News From Jason Powell's VIP Report

TNA signing RVD would be the biggest signing of a WWE talent since WCW stole Hall and Nash. Words can't describe how much potential RVD would have to make TNA a credible competitor to the WWE in the eyes of the casual fan. He mightn't have as much mainstream appeal as The Rock or Austin, but Hall and Nash weren't exactly mainstream stars when they left the WWF.

ROFL I think there's better writers to aspire to be than the guy whose only books were plagued with more factual inaccuracies than a Chinese history textbook.

Yeah, don't worry about Australia, we'll just keep commiting troops to your wars and you can just forget us when you're handing out the billion dollar reconstruction contracts.

    Jarrett attacks Hogan in Japan

I think we are getting a little carried away with the thought of a New Japan invasion in TNA. I think TNA is paying Hogan enough without flying in even ONE major Japanese star for a few weeks. All it would do is take the focus off Hogan, and that's not what they're paying six-figures for.

TNA News From The 10/18 Torch

Hogan sued AOL/Time-Warner after the Bash At The Beach incident and Russo's shoot comments. They don't have any control over Russo or Hogan seeing as though they're not under contract, so that's probably why they're only 'insisting' they stay apart. Perhaps Russo signed a contract saying he wouldn't do it again as part of the settlement? I dunno.

    TNA Dvds

I don't think One Inch Punch will be happy with TNA until everyone but Raven and CM Punk are fired.

Hogan to work TNA on 11/30

Merely having an AJ Styles or an AMW in the same ring as Hulk Hogan will elevate them more in the eyes of casual fans than any MOTY candidates they put on. I'm not saying TNA should (or will) job Hogan out to Kid Kash, but Hogan's presence in TNA can help them elevate their roster in a way the WWE couldn't.
