Happy Birthday Z. Book yourself a good day or sommat.
-
They'll go up shortly. However, I should make it clear that what Tom sent me included no links, so you'll either have to find the stuff yourself or wait for me to find them.
-
Holy fuck. King appears. Christian should be pissed. So pissed that every night he smashes a Mercedes-Benz.

I did indeed put Spike over. And I SORT of put Pretzler over, because as he pointed out in the promo he did on the very next show, Toxxic cheating to win is probably the ultimate admission of defeat. I've said it before and I'll say it again, WC - I wrote myself into a corner with Toxxic. His character was so focused on being the best that I couldn't let him NOT be the best, so he always dominated. That wasn't helped, of course, by the fact that Kibagami, Flesher, Annie and Sacred no-showed in their matches against me and Mike chose me to retire him. Flesher and Kibs at least could have beaten me, and I certainly wouldn't have put it past Sacred or Annie either, but none of them actually showed when the chips were down. So, I won.

If you can tell me the categories Tom (along with their names like the Cup of Champions etc) then I can do it. I'm too anal for my own good anyway, so it'll get done.

Well, as Drea pointed out we never gave anything out last year except the Hall of Fame.
-
Sounds like a plan. Maybe.

The Main Event - SWF Cruiserweight Championship Match Pure Rules "Hollywood" Spike Jenkins vs. JJ Johnson © ~If J3 brings the content like he did against Pretzler then, sorry to say Spike, you're going home in a bag. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Devon Walters vs. "The Dean of Professional Wrestling" Jay Hawke © (non-title) Tricky tricky. I'll take a guess at Hawke. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Manson vs. El Luchadore Magnifico ~ELM -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Todd Cortez vs. Marcus Ward ~Cortez is the man. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The Crimson Skull vs. Ghost Machine ~SKULL! SKULL! SKULL! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Bonus Last-minute Addition TKO (TORU Takahara & KOJI Kitano) vs Ced Ordonez and Steven Brody ~One team are definitely jobbers. We'll see how the others turn out.

And this time, he won't have me to save him by suggesting a suitably Sportz Entertainment finish to his first defence in order to woo King over. He'll be TOTALLY ON HIS OWN! *awaits Johnny trouncing all opposition totally on his own* Wait, did I tell you this man no-showed the main event of Genesis V? Ahh, happy days...

Clearly this fed still needs three Toxxic promos per show.

I'm sure Landon isn't available to be booked. From the 17th to the 20-something he's on holiday. Plus there was that whole 'I'm going on holiday' promo. I think he's on holiday. I call opening promo. Or maybe I don't.
-
I don't recall a single incident of you being an asshole to backstage staff. Maybe it was all off-camera. Maybe I should stop analysing so deeply... Maybe on your next entrance they'll just refuse to play your music or set off the pyro, and you'll just come out to a Smarktron flashing up 'SPIKE IS GAY!' (not serious, but it's an idea)
-
Happy Birthday Muzz, you crazy New Zealander. Yeah, I couldn't even be bothered to make a good joke.
-
Spike, what did we do to piss off the backstage crew? And besides, didn't the fac tthat you beat the shit out of me at 13th Hour mean anything to them? Landon - nice find. And the historians amongst you might notice that buried deep under lariat attempts there lies Toxxic's first ever SWF match...

Eyes down, look in on: THE OPENING PROMO Awesome promo, that's the only way to describe it. From Hawke's insults of the crowd at the start (beautifully done) to Zyon's 'I try to tune out bullshit'. And I must say, Zyon vs Hawke sounds like a brilliant plan for Genesis. Clash of styles plus a somewhat established star vs the breakout rookie. CRIMSON SKULL vs MARTIN HUNT This is a perfectly fine debut. It's not an example of wrestling perfection, but it's the Crimson Skull - it shouldn't be. There's enough comedy in the match (even the little touches like them arguing about the Dance Squad, and for some reason the fact that the Dance Squad has capital letters makes me happy) to make it gel with the character, and 'oh my, the horror!'. A little bit campy, just like the Skull. Excellent. GHOST MACHINE vs NICK BLUM EWR eat yer heart out. I haven't seen one of these since the classic Manson/Spike encounter. SPIKE & ZYON PROMO ONe thing I don't like about this is the fact that EVERYONE backstage is portrayed as being against Spike, not just Flesher. Even the backstage crew and the refs. You'd think that enough of them would hate Flesher or something, but apparently not. I'm also not sure about SPike being the 'lone wolf', because it sounds a little forced. That being said, it gets Zyon over as a genuinely friendly, nice young guy and Spike as the slightly bitter one, and foreshadows future events(~!) DEVON WALTERS vs MARCUS WARD Hmm, a surprisingly aggressive start from Walters. Maybe that's because Ward has been an asshole before, involving ladders. Another perfectly fine match, this one showing a different side of the not-quite-so-pacifistic Walters. LANDON PROMO I'm still not quite sure why the whole Landon crying thing happened. Regardless, this is a trademark great promo from Landon (who let's face it, is so much better cutting a heel promo than a face one). The pause and the throwaway line about Philadelphian children is classic, classic. You go Landon. You might bitch about W&D, but you can cut a heel promo like few others in the company right now. ZYON vs 'HOLLYWOOD' SPIKE JENKINS I don't like King acting like a 'court jester', because let us not forget that it was him that Flesher modelled himself after - in essence, he was their first. I think they should treat each other as equals, rather than King calling Flesher 'sir'. However, Flesher's description of Spike as 'the one and thank God only Spike Jenkins' is great. The match is pretty good, I think it does a decent job of showcasing how Zyon's spot-tastic offence can be effective but Spike's ground-based stuff can be a bit more reliable. I also like the BIG LARIATOOOOO... THAT MISSESSSSOOOOO. And then of course Flesher causes the distraction allowing Zyon to get the win, which furthers the Flesher/Spike storyline nicely. THE BEATDOWN The fact that King threw in 'feel the swankness' makes this segement all on it's own. JJ JOHNSON vs SCOTT PRETZLER The signs at the start are gold. Absolute frickin' GOLD. And from then on... it's just awesome. I don't know if this was a purposeful job, a co-write or a genuine winning effort from J3. All I know is that it is awesome. The moves, the wrestling, the commentating, even King stealing the little girl's crayon and justifying himself. If I didn't know better, I've had said that someone like Flesher had written this. But you shouldn't disrespect the lariat, boy. There's a big bad Maori in the history of this fed who wouldn't like you. TODD CORTEZ vs ELM Todd said it was a rush job, and I'm outta time. Maybe i'll pick it up later.

I call opening promo. Kidding.
-
At least you showed. Anything is better than nothing.
-
Johnny: I have it on good authority that you, sunshine, are going to regret you ever said that...
-
Not Spanky and not London. They're cruiserweights, so they won't get the rub. Whatever motivation Michaels might have had for helping them out wasn't good enough to get them off Velocity when they were an awesome tag team, wasn't enough to persuade Spanky to stick around, and isn't enough to get Paul London a decent gimmick. I don't think even the WWE would make the mistake of Cade. They tried Cade and Jindrak, it failed. Jindrak got sent to Velocity, but Cade got pulled COMPLETELY.

I see you're leading the way, Spike.

SWF Smarkdown Card for August 15, 2005!
Toxxic replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Hmm. Then maybe we should have the commentators wondering where Johnny is. I mean, it would surely seem odd to them that the World Champion hasn't showed his face since winning. -
I'd love that. But there's more chance of Trish being pushed as top face.
-
http://americaninlebanon.blogspot.com/2005...ke-of-west.html I suspect Drea of this. But these days, I suspect her of EVERYTHING.

Is Johnny ever going to promo? -
What I can't understand is how WC kept 'All you niggaz, all you bitches' and then that crap about throwing ice (or possibly mud) 'in this motherfucker'. Methinks that ain't family friendly.
