    SWF Lockdown Card

Err.... in case you guys forgot, you hate each other. Because Spike follows ME, and I just retired Mike. Just in case you forgot.

    Hall of Fame time!

I'm going to start a write-in vote for Sacred. C'mon, guy was around for ages, had an ongoing feud with Edwin and made World Champion.

    Dream Teams

Me and Fallout. Or, for real Brit action... me and Divefire. I think Janus and heel Thugg would be unstoppable kayfabe-wise.

  6. Dace Night vs Tom Flesher (written by Tom), 13th Hour 2004 http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...topic=56472&hl= Also, I am obligated to nominate Silent vs Edwin from Genesis IV. if you want the link, go look in Mark's footer. Edited to add: For the record, my favourite PPV match I have written was another Last Man Standing, vs Kibagami also at 13th Hour. Again, I'm not nominating myself, but if someone wants to click the link above, check it out and nominate it if they think it's worthy - well, that's the match of mine that I'd look at.

    PROMO: "Red-Eye State of Mind"

Respect. Sad to see you go Mike, but I have a feeling the fed will still benefit from you. And cheers for picking me to be the person to retire you
  8. Well you know, it WAS a work, so i thought it only fair that Mike picked how he went out. And he did it by bitch-slapping me around! Great match Mike, i salute you sir - may any cards you book in the future be full of promise.
  9. More comments when i get back from work. For now - thank fuck my team won, and if Zenon ISN'T in charge any more, then who the hell IS?

Not knowing that Zed had blown town after flipping off King is silly enough.
  11. Liston was never even active - when he found out he was being booked he tried to make time, but just couldn't do it. And what's this 'one former tag partner at a time' malarky? Liston was the only person I've ever been in anything like a vague team with - everyone else has merely been one-offs att he discretion of CC. And we never wrestled each other after we became a tag team - it's not like I had a program with him that ended in a crushing victory for me. I reserve that for YOUR former tag team partners
  12. Well I'd like to point out that me and Jimmy Freakin' Liston beat ALL FUCKING THREE OF YOUR TEAMS in the Tag Match from Hell. Well, outwrote anyway, as the Trinity ended up with the straps. So the 'we beat you that time, so we're better' thing can stop right now, as we owned you ALL. But no-one could argue that me and Liston were contenders for team of the year - it's all done on averages, people. That said, I marked for the Trinity. Which is why i had Janus lawn-dart Aecas over the top rope at us all

OK, here we go. It's eyes down and look-in on... Birdman being VERY silly. I may not always read the matches in full, but I ALWAYS read the promos. Cos they might be, you know, important? Opening promo from Max King - does well at establishig his character further as the ultimate cocky heel, but he'll have a hard time playing that "best rookie" title up when I'm sitting on my 2nd World Title reign... Carnage vs RKade - decent first match. Nothing special by any means, but the word limits are always low in the card. Pay attention to the way other people write the commentators, but that'll come with time. A couple of the descriptions jarred a little - RKade doubled over and in a clothelineable position following a spinebuster? - but generally pretty tight, and I liked the 'FREAK' chant. That's a little something that could go a long way, in time. Actually, fuck. Imagine a Carnage/RKade tag team. Weird AND hossy. Evan vs Filthy - well, while Ebony is fun, DNS sucks. Davis vs Fury - 1st person is odd, but I do have to say I like the way Fury interlinks 1st and 3rd so we still get the wider picture. I'll be intrigued to see the rematch, if there is one. That's all for now. Need to sleep

    Storm Predictions

MAIN EVENT WORLD TITLE MATCH TITLE VERSUS CAREER Toxxic© vs Mike Van Siclen ~I wouldn't dare make a prediction. I will say that Smackdown:HCTP states I will win via the Repeat To Fade DUMPSTER MATCH ICTV TITLE BOUT "The Icon" Max King© vs Landon "La Cucaracha" Maddix ~If Landon wants this, he's got it. TRIPLE THREAT Andrea Montgomery vs Johnny Dangerous vs Ace Lezaire ~Muzz has a job and Johnny has ex-World Champion Syndrome. So Drea. TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH Revolution 0© vs David Cross & Christian Fury ~Stable Pride. Plus the fact that they've written together, and the whole third/first person thing will be difficult to reconcile for the opposition. SINGLES MATCH Evan Wolfe vs rKade ~Um... I'll say Blind Ryan SINGLES MATCH Uncle Filthy vs Carnage ~LET ME HEAR YOU SAY 'UNCLE'!
  15. I'm NOT nominating myself, but I know that I've been finding it very difficult to track down other people's promos so here is what I consider MY best promo. If anyone else wants to nominate it, that'd be grand: http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...&hl=reflections I really want to nominate Zed's promo after the Kibagami/Zenon LMS match was signed. I think it was called 'Spiral' but i can't find it in search. I also nominate Kibs' 'Crown Prince' promo as a great example of getting into your character's head. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?...hl=crown+prince
  16. Of people active this year? Flesher. No doubt. Spike, I know you love me and everything, but there is no way I could be considered for this award. I haven't even HAD a career yet.
  17. I'd just like to add the nomination of Manson.

    Year-End Nomination Thread: Heel/Face

I'm tempted to say Janus for one and Terrence for the other... but while there have been few long-term truly effective heels, Dace can be the ONLY choice for the Face award.
  19. I debuted on Feb 6th so yeah, I am still technically a rookie.
  20. Blazenwing should not be considered this year - OK he no-showed, but he was pleasant and non-confrontational in his time here. I suppose the only immediate option I can think of is Candace. Although Frisco wasn't exactly stupid or easily-fooled as such - I just found him disagreeable.
  21. Most Improved - my money would be on either Landon or Spike Most Underappreciated - Dace. I know he is recognised as a good writer, but I'm still amazed that with his depth of knowledge he never got the World Title. No matter how good you are, Dace is ALWAYS a competitor. Best Booker - ABSOLUTELY NO QUESTION IT HAS TO BE ZED
  22. Tag Team has got to be Hollywood Boulevard, since they broke the record. Admittedly the tag division hasn't been all that hotly contested since I joined, but still - respect. Stable - I'd say the Unnamed. They may have disappeared halfway through the year, but all three original members made it to the World Title so that has to be recognised.
  23. Nathaniel Kibagami. No, seriously. OK, so Kibs lost his first three matches back. And OK, so he then went on to win a co-written PPV match before beating a relative newbie with a 1k headlock and then beating me before getting his title shot. And he no-showed lots, including his first and only title defence. My point is that: a) The actual 'comeback' promo ruled, even if Clark beat him straight after. b) He won the World Title, something he had not done before. c) He tied up one of the last remaning Carnival/Clan threads. d) His two months back had a MASSIVE impact on the fed. First, it defined the character of Alex Zenon as Commissioner. Second, it cemented Janus as the dominant and indeed only personality in the Janus/Terrence balance. And third, when he put me over at 13th Hour it propelled me into the main event scene. Please don't think I'm blowing my own trumpet - what I mean is without that you wouldn't have me as World Champion now, and you probably wouldn't have Revolution Zero either. The shape of the fed would be very different without the Kibagami comeback. But otherwise, Andrea is well worth a vote.
  24. Tom Flesher. And not just because he retired; because when it comes down to it, this man owns us in terms of character, history, wrestling knowledge and god knows what else.
