I'm getting this started early to say PARTY OVER HERE IN THE REV-0 CAMP~! but the feeling about this show from CC is pretty obvious. We as a fed suck now, and do not match up to the standards of our forebears. The whole promo thing: well, I did one before the show but I never really felt comfortable with doing a promo IN the PPV itself. it's like 'you're here now, shut up and fight'. Maybe that's not the approach I should be going with. The no-showing thing: OK, no argument here. I know Muzz no-showed, I know Sly no-showed, and in what HAS to be the biggest surprise for me - Johnny apparently no-showed. Not sure what was going on there. Maybe the problem is that a lot of people on the card haven't been in Genesis before and don't know what's expected? Either way, we need to sort out what's happening here and make sure that things pick up. This has to be one of the longest-running e-feds around and we need to make sure we keep it alive! That's all for now.

Countdown to Genesis and HOLT Report
Toxxic replied to Mr. S£im Citrus's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
If I don't get the award for 'Most Stupidly Overpushed' there will be trouble. Then again this is me, so I would of course be pushed to the award even ahead of many more worthy contenders. And the Hall of Fame should job to Taamo. -

King getting more heat than me? Pssh. Pssh, I say. Ok, yeah. But the bit about Dace no-selling the Eel's piledriver had me laughing, I'll admit. Oh, and Dub-Cee, do i detect a hint of bitterness about Hollywood Boulevard? -

If you were waiting for a PM back from me before you sent these in Jackie - sorry, I forgot to mention that I wouldn't have net access Friday due to travelling back to my mum's straight after work. I'd just like to point out that Revolution Zero are heels WITH FEELINGS! Damnit, we have personalities and insecurites! We are real people! Well, except for Spike. The moment Spike puts up a promo about Hollywood being anything but an air-headed moron I think I'll have to fire him. I've always liked Bill and Ted, and now I've got them both rolled into one...
-
This is a shout-out for people I'm not in a stable with, Spike. That sort of thing just leads to interbreeding and cliqueness and general bad stuff. That being said, when you become World Champion I damn well expect a shout-out from you. And a cloth, to clean the mess off me from where Drea's head just exploded.

Having seen Tom's tribute to the great people in the SWF I think it's really time I acknowledged all the people who have helped and inspire me to get where i am today. So here goes: Aecas: For giving me my first real feud, for not complaining when a n00b beat you for the Hardcore Gamer's Belt and for co-writing those backstage promos where you kept appearing and disappearing, still some of my favourite ones. Janus: Simply for having an entrance and character I did and still do mark out for. Zed: For advice and help, for actually booking me into the main event when he could have left me languishing in the midcard and, quite apart from anything else, giving me and IL the All-Show Brawl. I nearly didn't make it due to losing track of time, but that match was a great laugh. Tom Flesher: A long, long time ago Tom Flesher said that he marked for me. Words of real encouragement for such a new writer. Plus the guy is sheer class. Suicide King: Similar to Flesher - after the promo where I set up my Hardcore match with Aecas he mentioned that he liked 'this Toxxic guy' due to the fact that I write, promoed and seemed to be 'having a blast'. Encouragement is good. Kibagami: He was willing to work with me, and in the end chose me as the guy to retire him. Getting such a program from a writer who, although erratic and far from reliable was still one of the best around was an honour indeed. Not to mention the fact that I have basically ripped my writing style from him. In fact, right after I debuted there was a promo for the ill-fated Aidan Redmond (remember him?) which featured a small snippet of Edwin/Silent from Genesis IV. And that small snippet showed me how I should be writing if I wanted to succeed here. And last, but certainly not least... Dace FUCKING Night: Dace was the man carrying the Unholy Trinity sig that made me go 'what's that?' and brought me here. He gave me the lowdown on what was what, and it's no exaggeration to say that without Dace, his move knowledge and his willingness to proof-read my stuff I would not be anywere NEAR where I am now. So... blame him Everyone else - it's been a pleasure too. Now come get some, ya pussies. *gets mobbed by angry cats*
-
It was Mike, i think.
-
*raises a glass* No, fuck that. *raises a pitcher* Have fun law-ing Tom, and drop in to see us. It DEFINITELY won't be the same without you, and i say that as a n00b.

I think you all know who's got opening promo.

You see, THAT I respect. The only other person in the fed ( I think) with 0 no-shows. -
The Rose Bowl, Pasadena, California. A few hours before Genesis V. “Hmph. Feels like I’ve been here before.” The wrestler known to the world as Toxxic stares into the mirror for a few seconds before turning away and reviewing his ‘troops’. Sean Davis, calm and collected and not looking at all apprehensive about the two huge tasks facing him tonight. Marcus Washtington, bespectacled and serious as ever, then man who played a part in persuading Alex Zenon to give Spike and Sean two title shots tonight, as well as Sean defending his own Hardcore Gamer’s Championship. His girlfriend Jet, smiling encouragingly at him from the corner. And ‘Hollywood’ Spike Jenkins, either zoning out with concentration or waiting for the next thought to turn up. However, Toxxic’s comment seems to shake him out of his reverie. “What do you mean you’ve been here before?” Spike asks Toxxic. “I didn’t think you’d ever been to the Rose Bowl before.” “I haven’t,” Toxxic replies, sitting down on the bench, “but I’ve been in this situation before. A couple of hours before the Pay-Per-View, which is going to end in the biggest match of my career, a chance to win the World Heavyweight Title. Only difference is, this time I’m taking it back instead of winning it for the first time.” “Yeah, and this time people don’t view you as an outsider,” Sean Davis adds in his deep voice. Toxxic grins mirthlessly. “Way to make me feel relaxed, Sean.” The Straight-Edge Sensation shrugs. “Ah, what the hell. It’s only the main event of the biggest show in history. No reason to feel pressurised at all...” “Hey,” Jet says, pulling something black out of her bag. “I brought this, just in case you wanted it.” She throws it over to Toxxic, who catches it and opens it out - revealing a tattered and torn Lostprophets T-shirt with the slogan ‘Heroic Rockstars’ on it. “Your lucky shirt,” the dreadlocked beauty continues, “I made sure I picked it up after the Triple Threat at Ground Zero.” Toxxic stares at the shirt for a few seconds. He remembers the feeling of his first ever SWF Pay-Per-View where he went out wearing this shirt for the pitiful protection it gave and faced Aecas, the Black Angel, in a 200 Lightubes match for the same Hardcore Gamer’s belt that currently adorns Sean Davis’ shoulder. He remembers the pain of the Urinagi suplex into the barbed wire board, and the spinebuster through a lightube log cabin. Then he remembers how he shoved half a lightube in the Black Angel’s mouth and jawbreakered him before making his fellow Brit pass out in the Repeat To Fade. He remembers the reaction of the crowd at Ground Zero when he wore it again, watching three men whom they hated with equal fervour battle it out for the biggest prize in the SWF. He remembers when Janus threw him over the top rope and through the Spanish announce table, and he remembers countering Tom Flesher’s attempt to German suplex him off the second rope with the Intoxxication to finally climb the mountain and become the fastest-rising SWF World Champion since the year 2000. He closes his eyes for a couple of seconds... then they snap open again, and he passes the shirt back to Jet. “No,” he says, standing up. “Not tonight. Keep it safe, because I might need it again someday. But not tonight.” “Why not?” Spike asks curiously. Toxxic turns to face him, and now the rest of Revolution Zero can see his face properly. There is a harder set to the eyes and the faint hint of a smirk around the mouth that they recognise. For whatever reason, Toxxic has made the mental changeover from the relatively friendly guy they hang with to the edgy, unpredictable and above all angrier persona of the Straight-Edge Sensation. They know that it is this that gives him his edge in the ring, they know he is simply starting to get into the right mental state for his match later tonight, and they know that the change is a conscious decision... but the sudden shift can still be slightly unnerving. “Danny Williams, Dace Night and Tom Flesher couldn’t outwrestle me,” Toxxic tells them. “Aecas and the Insane Luchador couldn’t outbrawl me. Silent couldn’t keep me down for the count. Two people together couldn’t stop me winning the title last time.” He reaches into his bag and pulls out his eyeliner. “This is the biggest night and the biggest match of my career, and I am ready. Johnny Dangerous is the only man in the SWF today who has managed a singles victory over me... and tonight I am going to take that - and the SWF Title - back from him. I don’t need anything to help me, I don’t need to be anybody but me.” The familiar lopsided grin creeps up Toxxic’s face. “Now let’s get ready to show them what we’re made of.”

OAO Genesis Word Count Thread

9,555 I think, completed on Friday. I've finally done a PPV match at under 10K! And it's the most important match yet! (but on the other hand it's my first regular, straight-up singles match on PPV too. As opposed to 200 Lighttubes, Last Man Standing, Two out of three falls Triple Threat the the Tag Match From Hell). -
I give up all responsibility for the opening since someone else has been stupid- I mean, generous enough to take it in hand. Went out tonight, and witnessed a good thirty people perform a conga across the floor of Rock City to Marilyn Manson's verision of 'Personal Jesus'. I despair of the youth of today.
-
Well, I've done my match so if Zed can send me SOME sort of idea what he wants in it (bearing in mind that my knowledge of the fed's history isn't great, so far-reaching video packages probably aren't going to feature) I might be able to knock at least SOMETHING up tomorrow.

Black screen. A YEAR HAS PASSED Suddenly the driving bassline and frantic drumming of Queens Of The Stone Age’s ‘First It Giveth’ kicks in, and the screen is filled with the huge, golden shape of the SWF World Heavyweight Title. Then the shot changes and instead of the belt it is the current World Champion Johnny Dangerous, footage from one of the countless times he has made his way down to the ring. ‘I’m in you You’re in me I can’t tell...’ Now the screen shows the face of Toxxic, the familiar lopsided grin creasing one side of the Straight-Edge Sensation’s face. ‘You’re so cruel More than me It is true (...that’s right)’ Toxxic is in the ring with the rest of Revolution Zero arrayed behind him, staring out at the entrance ramp. ‘Loyal to Only you Up your sleeve’ Now the shot is of Toxxic and Johnny Dangerous facing each other in the ring. The two men exchange words before the Barracuda levels Toxxic with the Johnny Kick. ‘I want some (come on, take it) Of all of you (it’s yours) Trickin’ me...’ Tom Flesher is in the ring with the World Title... ‘First it giveth... ...but abruptly the shot changes to him being dropped with an avalanche Orange Crush Bomb by Ejiro Fasaki. ...then it taketh away...’ Ejiro makes his way to the ring, displaying the belt... ‘First it giveth... ...then the shot cuts to Danny Williams flipping over him into a Powerbomb. ...then it taketh away...’ Danny is standing in the ring at Clusterfuck with coloured streamers floating down around him... ‘First it giveth... ...then he gets dropped on his head with the Va’aiga Stinger. ...then it taketh away...’ The imposing masked figure of Va’aiga comes down to the ring at From The Fire... ‘First it giveth... ...then the screen shows him finally tapping to the Crossface Chickenwing of Charlie Matthews. ...then it taketh away...’ The screen shows the World Title belt resting on the time keeper’s table, then as the music shifts down the screen shows Toxxic struggling to rise from the ring canvas. ‘I would beg I would plead I would shake’ Revolution Zero outnumber Johnny Dangerous and ‘Grand Slam’ Mark Stevens, but Johnny steps forward with his arms stretched wide to take whatever comes. ‘On a hook Dangling Wide awake’ The screen changes to show Johnny celebrating with the fans after he won the World Title, unbridled jubilation plain to see on his face. ‘I’m so young And beautiful (That’s right) (I’m slick) I’m no fool’ Toxxic and Johnny are exchanging words in the ring again, but this time it is Johnny with the belt and Toxxic who levels him with a superkick. ‘Time goes by Tables turn All I know’ Charlie Matthews greets the crowd at Battleground... ‘First it giveth... ...then the shot changes to John Duran spinning him off his shoulder to the mat with the Blunt Force Trauma. ...then it taketh away...’ World Champion John Duran salutes the crowd in his own unique way... ‘First it giveth... ...then Danny Williams nearly takes his head off with a Rolling Elbow. ...then it taketh away...’ Danny Williams is on the mic in the ring with the World Title over his shoulder... ‘First it giveth... ...then Nathaniel Kibagami is spiralling downwards to deliver the Year Of The Dragon to the floored Louisville Elbower. ...then it taketh away...’ Nathaniel Kibagami strides through the clouds of smoke and sparks with the World Title around his waist... ‘First it giveth... ...then Danny Williams plants him with a powerbomb. ...then it taketh away...’ Danny Williams celebrates his third World Championship in the ring... ‘First it giveth... ...then Janus drops him on his head with the Rage Unleashed at 13th Hour. ...then it taketh away...’ Janus holds the World Title up before dropping the ICTV belt to the floor and spitting on it... ‘First it giveth... ...then he desperately tries to crawl across the ring as Toxxic delivers the Super Intoxxication to Tom Flesher and wins the title at Ground Zero. ...then it taketh away...’ Toxxic raises the belt high over his head as the crowd visibly jeer and flip him off. ‘...awaaaa-aaaayyy...’ Johnny Dangerous leaps off the top buckle to deliver the Shooting Johnny Press to the Straight-Edge Sensation. ‘...awaaaa-aaaayyy...’ As the song comes to its explosive end shots of both champion and challenger alternate at incredible speed before the screen fades to black again. TOXXIC JOHNNY DANGEROUS The SWF World Heavyweight Championship GENESIS V

Sadly Jericho has had his gratis title reign. And it SUCKED. I personally doubt Benoit will get another run with the World Title, but even if he wasn't anywhere near the top of the card in terms of airtime at least he looked strong in the ring. The impression may have been that the World Champion was not top priority, but at least he looked good in there. Eddie WAS top priority as a champ, and also looked pretty good, but it doesn't look like the WWE Title will be heading back to Radical #2 anytime soon either. Jericho was booked like a bitch in and out of the ring. He played second fiddle to Stephanie, he got yelled at over lotion, he had to cheat and fluke his way around and then got pinned in one of the shortest Wrestlemania Main Events ever. I don't want to go the tradiational "OMGZ VINCE HATEZ WCW PEEPOL AND HHH RUNS TEH COMPANY AND JERICHO IS HIS BITCH!" line... but can you name an ex-WCW star who has REALLY been treated well? Benoit, Eddie and to a certain extent Y2J seem to have been given "pity" runs, almost like a Lifetime Achievement Oscar. Sort of 'yeah, we employ you, you've been a good wrestler for quite a while, have a title run so no-one can blame us for not giving you one, then go back to the midcard where you belong'. Meanwhile Randy Orton is WWE-trained, he's got 'the look' and Hunter (who must have SOME pull, even if not as much as rumoured) has publicly stated that he'll do whatever it takes to get him over. I forsee many more Orton World Title runs, but not one for Jericho. As for superstars - i agree with everyone (especially Batista, the dark horse) except Regal (wrong body shape, interesting but difficult style, plus he's English and not Davey Boy Smith so will NEVER get out of a stereotyped role), Flair (too old. Just too old) and Christian (doesn't cut it as a star at this level). All the rest come over better than Orton.
-
I'd think he'd probably find descending more useful. Unless the ring was on the roof or something. "This post has been brought to you by the Pointless Pedantry Association"
-
How about Michael Cole's face pressed against a door, squealing, as Heidenreich slams his dick into the back of his pants, as Tazz stands by, saying "Here comes the pain!"? SMELL THE RATINGS~!
-
Sure I got upset. Doesn't mean I was necessarily right...
