Sly, in the nicest possible way, shut it. I can only think of one match we've had where you did much less than half, all the others have been pretty much evenly distributed.
-
Of course there could be a third reason WC, but you think Toxxic the egomaniac is going to acknowledge that? I'm intrigued to see where the WC shin guard thing is going, I like the Raynor/Maddix teaming rationale (just because it'll annoy Tom), and congratulations to Johnny for pulling out the big one for the third time. I'm only just back off holiday so I'll read in more detail later.
-
I'm on holiday from now. Whoever gets assigned as marker, expect something from Sly.

Have it be Jericho. I don't know how or why, I just want him back on my TV.

The ONLY good way of breaking up a pin I've ever seen was the Bashams where someone was covering Doug and Danny/Damaja jumped, grabbed the opponent bodily whilst in mid-air and physically pulled him off the cover with his momentum. With everyone else it just looks like the referee stops counting because physical contact has been made with the guy doing the pin, the pin is still in place to all other intents and purposes. Any guy who ever yells in pain when Shark Boy 'bites them' on the arse, BECAUSE THERE IS NO HOLE IN THE MASK FOR HIS MOUTH. Billy Gunn stealing Torrie Wilson's trousers for VKM vs LAX. That damn near traumatised me, and has to go down as 'stupid'

OK, here's a what if: WWE have just suspended 11 workers, and fired Nova (probably more as a gesture than anything else, but let's assume that they might be prepared to do it with in-ring talent the next time). What if during this on-going process of suspensions and further investigations by Congress or whoever, their business actually collapses? Probably not financially, but let's say they get dropped by their network who longer wants to be associated with them, or whatever (yes, even Sci-Fi). The WWE effectively ceases to exist. What happens? From my fairly limited knowledge of the North American scene, I know we have TNA as money-losing WWE-lite with a TV deal, and ROH with a smaller but more hardcore and loyal following, who are regional but slowly expanding and now running PPVs. Does TNA sign most of the WWE guys they think might escape whatever testing Congress might force on them and try and expand outwards? Does ROH maybe get picked up by a network looking to capitalise on the sudden wrestling dearth and their superior (in my eyes) angles and ringwork suddenly elevate them above TNA in the eyes of the world? I'd imagine the old hands like Taker and Michaels would just call it a day, but would the high-rollers with years in front of them like Cena, Orton, Lashley etc take the pay cut and ego cut to dropping down to what a couple of months before would have been classed as indy feds? What the fuck does Triple H do? He loves wrestling, even if he uses his power to centre it on himself - I can't imagine him going to work for Jarrett, does he start his own fed but try and distance it from the WWE name that would bring Congress down on him too? Are there other federations that might make a run for it? Although no longer associated with TNA, would the NWA make a go at pushing back into the public eye? Would AAA try and expand Northwards? Would the Japanese try and make an impact in the North American market? Fuck, would the no-compete clause on Lesnar still hold, and would enough casual fans care anymore even if it didn't?

What offence does Rey have that would actually possibly hurt Khali? I mean, mostly he unalances people (ranas, armdrags etc, neither of which I see working) or he lands on them (which requires Khali to leave his feet). Short of biting him I'm puzzled as to what he could do that would even look vaguely realistic.

Muzz wins.

What the hell... 'The Sufferer And The Witness' - Rise Against 'Sketches Of Undying Will' - Thought Riot 'Twisted By Design' - Strung Out 'The Downward Spiral' - Nine Inch Nails 'Earth vs The Wildhearts' - The Wildhearts 'The Art Of Drowning' - AFI 'New Maps Of Hell' - Bad Religion 'Different Class' - Pulp 'Parklife' - Blur (although the song Parklife itself is fairly shit) 'The Bends' - Radiohead (anyone who says OK Computer is better is mental) 'Empires' - VNV Nation 'thefakesoundofprogress' - Lostprophets (they were good before they sold out and went pop) If you like Muse's more electro direction you MIGHT like 'You And Me Against The World' by Apoptygma Berzerk, but that's not a guarantee by any means.

Raynor has. Parts of my week went tits-up, so I submitted a three-man beatdown.

Oh, British indy wrestling. I went to see a friend of mine wrestle at the Spa Pavillion, Felixstowe (well, I drove him there actually). The audience consisted of about thirty kids, the kids' parents, a few members of the local wrestlers' families, and me. I was backstage beforehand where the guys were meeting each other. Jody Fleisch shakes hands with my mate. "Hiya, Jody." "Hi, Aidan Nathans." Shakes hands with me. "Hiya, Jody." "Hi." *point at Aidan* "I, uh... I just drove him here." Then there was the fast-paced and reasonably impressive cruiserweight match between Fleisch and some guy named Lucas Cool. But because they both presented themselves as faces the kids had no-one to cheer or boo, so it was the quietest match all evening. I also enjoyed myself by yelling "Yo Baby Yo Baby Yo!" at PN Newsz, some twelve or so years after that gimmick deservedly died.

Regal is always awesome.
-
I listen to some hardcore Spike, I'm just aware that real hardcore would make Raynor run and hide. And yes Sly, Rise Against are awesome.

I've got to admit to voting Orton. I can't really stand him, but Cena is so so boring, and part of me just wants to watch Orton become the centrepiece of the company and then fuck up hideously. Which I have to say would probably be more entertaining and definitely more moral than watching TV based around Eddie's death.

Hmm. Well, seeing as how my interpretation of WarGames had been built on the basis of a W&D vs Rev-0 feud fueled by tag title controversy(~!), and I'd never had any indication before that WC wasn't up for it (beyond his usual dislike for multi-mans), maybe I should just call the whole thing off and throw my name back into the World Title hunt.
-
I'm running WarGames. Let's dance, boys.
-
I'll mark Spike vs Kibs. It was a double no-show.
-
Oh, that's just no fun.

Happy Birthday Mike

So, Jay, do you want to lose by tapout or pinfall?
-
I got my half of the match to Looch, but Fulmy seemed to think his side was no-showing. So Tom, unless you get something from IL, I don't know if you'll get anything.
-
Yeah, what he said.

We've got to do this shit next week as well? Christ. Who's up for a mass promo where we inject a local anaesthetic into Clark's vocal cords at the start of the evening?
