    Promo: Home cookin'

"He's choking her with the tag rope!" "That's not the tag rope, Mak." Damn you Clark, you started this! In all seriousness WC, I like the promo. Every now and then it's good to have a promo that just provides some background to the character even if it doesn't advance any particular angle or storyline.
  2. You mean we have a period of huge success before being shut down by lawsuits and then re-emerging as an ass-kissing version of our former selves? No sir. We ass-kiss the record labels first.
  3. I have a new project called Audio Democracy, and we envision it as the future of music reviewing. Based at http://audio-democracy.com it's not currently 'live', but we're planning on launching on Monday 28th May 2007. At the moment an overview of what we do can be found HERE. Basically, we're a bunch of people reviewing music. Any music. It doesn't matter about the genre, it doesn't matter about the recording quality, it doesn't matter if the band or artist is big or small. However, we also have a few little features that we think will make us useful: *We accept tracks to review electronically. At the moment all submissions should go to [email protected], but when the site goes live people will be able to sign up for an account (for free) and then upload music directly to the site ready for review. Part of the reason we've done this is to cut down on the carbon footprint of all those CDs being burned, posted in envelopes, listened to once and then maybe never listened to again. No, it makes more sense to send the track via the internet, and it can be deleted from a harddrive once no longer needed. *However, those reviewed tracks don't just go away. No, they get streamed on Audio Democracy itself, so people reading the review can listen to the music at the same time. No more will people think "well, this writes them up as being OK but I don't know if they're my thing". They'll know. *Anyone can view the site, but registered users will be able to post their own comments and (if they want to get that involved) reviews in reply to the main review. That's why it's called Audio Democracy - we may be the reviewers, but that doesn't mean we know it all. Everyone gets a say, and if enough people think we're wrong we'll be shouted down. We're aiming to blur the lines between the critics and the audience (but please note that overly offensive or downright malicious comments will be deleted). *Every track gets rated... but not just by us. A registered user can vote on a track to put the average score up or down. *Bands/artists who've signed up for accounts will be able to put their upcoming gig and show dates up so people who've read the reviews and listened to the tracks will know where they can next see the band live. *We're also looking at becoming an iTunes affiliate so readers can buy the tracks straight from the website if they want to. That means readers can discover, read about, hear, find out gig dates of and buy tracks from a band on the same day, all in one place! We're hoping that enough people will start using Audio Democracy for us to become a real, vital tool in the world of music. Imagine if a record label starts looking through and sees a band they'd never heard of with a really high rating for their tracks, and hundreds of posts from people going "yes! I love this tune!". How about if a record label gets a demo that sounds interesting and can go "hmm, I'll see what the public says on Audio Democracy"? I don't really know if many of the people on here are at all involved in the music industry, in whatever level. However, I'm hoping that some of you might be in bands, or know people in bands, or know people involved in independent record labels, or something like that. Please, pass the word out because I really think that this could become a useful tool for such people... but the more people use it, and view it, and sign up to it to make their voices heard, the better it will be. *inserts predictable joke about illegal W&D double-teams* *leaves hastily*
  5. I've bastardised 'real' British rules to make something actually watchable/readable in today's environment. But technically yes Landon, you are correct on all counts. God Bless World of Sport.
  6. Drake vs Toxxic, British Rules. Two falls to a winner by pinfall or submission, however failing to answer a ten-count automatically loses you the match. Disqualifications ARE in effect, this isn't a deathmatch.
  7. As long as it makes people happy.

I remember Nash brought in Rick Steiner to help him in a handicap match to try and get the World Title off Scott, but then after beating his brother up for the match, Rick turned on Nash and Scott retained. Like no-one saw that one coming.
  9. Cheers, WC. Clearly you haven't factored in that also on the reviewing squad is my best mate who co-runs the biggest hip-hop and drum n' bass night in Central England. Seriously, I've thought this one through.
  10. Shame my boys couldn't pull out the win against W&D, but then again not many people can. Except me and Landon Otherwise, MANSON is extremely awesome and I'm hoping for more contributions like that in the future. Oh, and congratulations to Landon as well, although I had my money on him to retain anyway... Elsewhere, nothing from Jimmy or Zyon, which shouldn't really surprise us, sadly.

    RVD released early?

Again with the $$ though, KC. Remember, they have to pay for PPVs in America. *looks smug*

    RVD released early?

And Styles. Who can do everything RVD can do but crisper, cleaner, and can do actual wrestling better. But then again, I guess Styles can make pretty much anyone look bad.

    Comments of Extreme Storminess

MANSON is awesome when motivated, it's true. And WC, I'd love a rematch but it seems that my former partner and I are no longer teaming so we'll just have to sit pretty on our lead of Galacticos 2, W&D 1 Eh, who knows, maybe sometime storyline arcs will permit and we'll throw down again.

    Cthulhu is real.

I think this is as good a place as any to share this: The Cthuluchador. Bow down. (no, I didn't make this, but it's still awesome)

    OAO Sacrifice PPV Thread

Agreed. My g/f and I used to like TNA, but she hates Angle anyway, and the combined arrival of Angle to dominate the main event scene and Russo overbooking some crazy shit means it's all gone wrong. I'm glad I get the PPVs free, because I certainly wouldn't pay for them. God bless Bravo 2. Christian actually works as a main eventer now he's a heel, because he's a whiny, sneaking but INTELLIGENT heel. He plays the evil mastermind role so much better than Jarrett did, plus he doesn't always have to rely on underlings to help him out (sometimes he just cheats, which at least is him relying on himself). But otherwise they keep bringing in big names like Sting and Angle to clog up the main event scene, which just means that the real talent like Styles, Daniels, Joe etc is kept down. Imagine the sort of matches that Daniels, Styles and Joe could have over the World Title instead of the X-Division! And then you could move people like Shelley and Dutt up to X-Division Title level. Oh, and someone please kill VKM now. Now.

Hardly. Much as I'd wish it, we'll never reach those heights. However, being the 'anti-carnival' or something, where we're a little more indiscriminate and a little more nasty about things, maybe.

To clarify - after the extended pranking of Drake, Toxxic broke into his locker room and rubbed IcyHot into his tights, thereby causing much testicular trauma for The Beast during his match with Eddy J (the point being that they'd slowed him up with the maple syrup ambush that he didn't have time to worry about the rest of his posessions, being too concerned about getting out to his match on time). And Spike - with this Rev-0, it's less about dominating the fed and more about having a laugh at other people's expense. I don't want to concentrate on win/loss ratios, I just want to do some fun things. And bad practical jokes seem like the way to go. Granted Drake's also a heel, but he makes the most sense for Toxxic to play pranks on, bar perhaps Landon. ...now there's an idea.

I think the closing promo is a good way to go. If Zyon's got the motivation to show, he's still in with a shout at the PPV. If he doesn't, there's a back-up plan ready to go (one assumes).

Well, it's not meant to set up another match - Zyon's after the World Title, I've got my own agenda going on. To be honest I was hoping Zyon would write and beat me, but so much for that plan. I didn't want to beat him on a world title chase, but I also couldn't be bothered to let myself get pinned or tapped given (as mentioned before) Zyon hasn't been putting a whole lot of energy into this, so I went with a cheap loss. A halfway decent match would have beaten that sack of crap, but at least it was a full match for the show.

What you need to do is come back.

I'd like to point out that I jobbed in the main event, so if anything it solidifies Zyon's place there rather than puts me back there. Maybe.
