You don't need to convince us Tom, we know you're awesome. -
SWF Storm Card for February 14, 2007!
Toxxic replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
It's also going to be three years to the day (well, to the Wednesday) since Alan Clark handed Toxxic his first ever SWF defeat in their match to decide the number one contender to Wildchild's newly-won Cruiserweight Title. Oh, the history. -
SWF Storm Card for February 14, 2007!

So I have to beat Clark to get a shot at the title Clark holds? Who do you think I am, the Insane Luchador? I'd also like to point out the inherent history in the MANSON/JJ vs Asia Underground match, as losing the tag titles to their opponents was what caused Asia Underground to split up in the first place. I'd also like to point out that I believe the correct name of the MANSON/JJ team is Blood & THUNDER, and death via eyebeams is even now probably winging its way to you, Tom. -
No Alex Shelley =

Original Undertaker, you betcha. And Doink. Vader was pretty damn intimidating too, with that damn helmet thing that spouted steam. Andre never scared me though.

PROMO: "Underground Hits From What's-Their-Name"
Toxxic replied to Chuck Woolery's topic in Brandon Truitt
Hmm, now this is an interesting dynamic that I'll look forward to seeing more of. However, I should note that both Landon and I will have serious objections to the notion of a fifth W&D tag title reign coming at our expense. Serious objections. -
In this day and age, it's amazing to think of people being world champion for five years, or nearly eight years, or anything like that. I mean, we had Triple H at what, about ten or eleven months, and that seemed like an eternity (and yes, he jobbed it to Michaels for a month and then got it back again, but even with those two reigns added together it's nothing like those guys). As a thought - do you think this trend will continue with world title reigns (on average) getting shorter and shorter, or have they now reached the lower limit of how quickly you can push change through without getting stupid? (I'm not arguing that the WWE in general hasn't reached stupidity, because I think it clearly has)

*ahem* Akira is the Divine Wind. If he's the Devine Wind then we can only presume he's related to Johnny Devine, and that's not a good thing to be. Otherwise, more tag teams are indeed good. But Mr. Kobe is still a whore
-
You mean he wins it a lot, but then never wins the title match he gets as a result? I hope not, because that would suck.

I'd like to pretend I was cool, but since I only saw a few shows when I was young (Britain + no satellite TV = no wrestling in the late 80s/early 90s) I must admit I simply marked for the faces and hated the heels. However, when i started watching again I was a MASSIVE fan of Kai En Tai, because they were doing their 'Japanese B-Movie Villain' gimmick. Which I know was hideously un-PC, but was also some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. "You! Raven! If that is your real name! You have great entrance music! I know all the words!" *imitates ravens cawing* "And you! You call yourself Justin Credible! I call you 'Just About To Get Your Ass Kicked'! For we are Kai En Tai, and we are EEEEEEEEEEEEE-VILLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!" *Funaki speaks for several seconds with no sound over the mic* "IN-DEEEEEEEEEEEEEED!" I always wished I could find one of those Kai En Tai T-shirts.

Trying to run for president? Ah, that'll explain his appearance and attitude in TNA then...

For people too heavy for a Dragon suplex you could always use Bubba Ray's full-nelson bomb to transition in. A decent use for a shite move.
-
Taking this thread even further off the original topic... Backlund as a heel - can anyone help me with this? My viewing of wrestling started in the late 80s and (being in Britain) was kind of bitty, and pretty much stopped at the first King of the Ring (if that's where Yokozuna beat Hogan to get the title back) until Summerslam 2000. My only memory of Bob Backlund was as the returning technician smiling hand-shaking babyface in the track jacket.

Count me in. Hey Landon, do we need to do a "you won the Clusterfuck you bastard" promo or something?
-
Since WC's basically half-given the result away, all I can say is Landon, if I wasn't gonna win it I wanted you to, and you did me proud. Good on yer son, nice use of Janus too. Drake against Landon should be another cracker, I wonder if Mak can get revenge for his defeat at Genesis? Congrats to W&D as well, I'm sure the Caddies put up a fight but you don't really touch W&D in tag team writing. Unless you're me and Landon and Johnny's MIA, that is . My only regret is that my Matt 'Ash Ketchum' Myers never saw the light of day...

I think I ended up with 21k, but to be honest by the end I was more bothered with typing recognisable English than doing a word count.
-
So you're complaining that he got the colour of your font wrong, and NOT that he thinks you're a teenage girl? Incidentally, I'd mark the fuck out too.
-
It's fair to say I have gone completely overboard with the word limit. I've told Tom he can autojob me if he wants, cos I don't have time to edit anything down, but at least I finished it.

SWF Clusterfuck Card! Live, January 31!
Toxxic replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
Who says I'm writing, Bruce? Well, I do actually. In fact I've finished, and Tom Flesher WILL hate me. In fact, he'll probably disqualify me on the grounds of being too much like Ash Ketchum, so I doubt y'all will need to worry about my contribution. Can I just point out though that I'm going to London for the weekend on Friday morning and don't get back til Tuesday evening, so I'll probably be in a state of suspense for well beyond the weekend. Or maybe I'll just go and look at the cage dancers in the Electric Ballroom and the cute girls in the shops around Camden Market. It's 1am. Can you tell? Landon, can we have the Raccoons theme as our tag team entrance music? -

You mean 'trawl through a show with twice as many active writers and about three times the content the 'Fuck'll have', surely? Because, if you didn't, you maybe should have. Does anyone have a copy of the 02 and 01 Fucks? Or at least can tell me what number Sarp and Grand Slam were when they won? I was more referring to the fact that I can't work out where the hell anything is in that folder. But if you want to bring the subject up no, I don't want to trawl through a show that big either. And twice as many active writers means nothing if they're all Chance Silver-esque (and bear in mind I've seen the stats thread now before you start denying anything too hard) -

I demand that Landon tells us who won the Lethal Rumble so I don't have to trawl through the OAOAST again. -

Look, for the love of God, can we have some fucking Zack Malibu stats in THIS folder please? I mean, I've just looked in the OATTOAST and wherever that thread was with them in at the beginning seems to have gone missing. It's not like Zack doesn't know how to find us. If they aren't up in the next day or so he's coming out to "I've Been Stalking You On MySpace" by Jon B, and getting Bushwhacker Luke'd. -
I just remember what Mak was like with that niggling knee injury, and i try and translate it over to a neck injury that paralysed him... and it just doesn't fit. Still, people change...
-
I'm glad my lack of broadband means I couldn't watch that, even if I wanted to. Something tells me it can't be good.
-
I'm a little confused at Mak's apparent acceptance of the fact that he's paralysed, and he's not still mad at Spike for it, but otherwise this is a good promo. There could be some mileage out of Spike trying to go 'back to basics' and leave his slightly deranged past behind.
