So, prove me wrong. Tell me what YOU like about Rando's promo, or his other promo, or his character. What's good? What do you think can be improved? Do you think I'm unjustified in what I'm saying, or just the manner in which I said it, or the fact that it's me who has said it, who you think has done nothing and therefore shouldn't be one to talk? For that matter, what do or don't you like about MY character? Do my matches always read the same? Do I not put my opponents over enough? What is or is not good about my promos? I mean for God's sake, I've been back with Toxxic since about May and World Champion since June or July or something, and I've pretty much been doing my own thing without a great deal of input or criticism from anyone. I tried to introduce something new by setting up the Elimination Chamber, but that wasn't a massive success. I'm running a feud with Mak, but it's not exactly massive profile. What should I be doing, in your view, to make things more interesting and contribute more to the fed? I've put some promos up and one or two people have made vaguely interested noises, but if no-one tells me what they don't like about it I'll assume everyone either thinks they're fine or just can't be bothered to read them in the first place, so won't change the way I do it. In terms of what you said about Rando just having fun with his character, that's fair enough, but it's not very fun for me to read because it doesn't interest me. Are we all just writing for ourselves, or are we trying to interest other people and create some sort of community where we exchange feedback, work out what other people appreciate and don't appreciate, take ideas and inspiration from others and all enjoy ourselves? Now, it might be that I'm a completely unreasonable arsehole for the take I've got on Rando and everyone else thinks it's a great character and a compelling storyline... but no-one, NO-ONE has said so. I've now said what I think. I leave it up to everyone else to contribute if they see fit, as and how they want to.

I'm expressing an opinion. He doesn't have to listen to it. However, it's worth noting that me posting my criticism has led to two other people responding to his promo (or at least, doing a shocked emoticon in Sly's case), which is more than was here before, and is more than is currently gracing his other promo lurking about further down the board.

The SWF needs Alan Clark, because we need everyone. I could find Alan Clark interesting, if you dropped the Disney bullshit. I could find Bloodshed interesting, if you dropped the pseudo-psychotic bullshit. What I DON'T find interesting is how one 'side' of the character is happy and has one sort of contract, and the other 'side' is mean and has another contract, and one can't do this but one can, and so on and so on, and how they interact and watch each other, and that sort of shit. Depth of character is not built by having two different sides to it, it's built by actually having some sort of realistic basis and having a character people can empathise with. Sure, Janus had two vastly different characters in the same body... but each one of them was a self-reliant entity with a distinct personality, not a pair of cartoony, gimmicky jokes. Please, write matches. We need match writers. Please, get involved in angles. We need angles. Please, contribute and take part in the fed, and get others to join if you can. We need that. Please don't write complicated legal/mental illness promos to explain multitudes about your character when your character has been in-again/out-again and is basically working an early 90s WWF-style cartoon gimmick and some cheap knockoff of some vaguely 'Attitude' era gimmick at the same time, and basically doesn't HAVE multitudes about him to be explained. We now return you to your regular programming.

Keeping n00bs has been the problem. If one show a week on a Wednesday helps us do it, I say roll with it. Not sure what we'll do about PPVs though - keep to a six-week cycle? It'll reduce the shows inbetween from nine to six, but it's better than trying to go TNA and have only four I think. When will we have PPV's though? Are we going to really stretch things out and say that we only have five shows, then a week and a half to write the PPV?

I'm open to this if needed. Might be worth a try to see if we can up participation a bit.

I nominate 'Blood' by The Editors as the themetune. Even if you pick something else, I'll still probably end up doing a music video to it for the main event. The words just fit Stephens/Drake so damn well.

I can see that too, but doesn't that just make the ref a total jackass? "I don't care about the rules enough to stop you from hanging a man upside down and hitting him with a chair, but the moment you touch ME, it's OVER sunshine!" If TNA had a history of limited DQs in title matches but the moment anyone touched the ref they were automatically gone, I could live with this decision, but that foundation has never been laid down.

So what would that gimmick be? "You're cocky! You show no respect! ...and you smell!" Wow. Money.

Can anyone satisfactorily explain to me why Sting was DQ'd for clotheslining the referee and NOT DQ'd for hanging Abyss upside down by his feet and hitting him with a chair? I mean, not DQ'ing Abyss for chokeslamming him into thumbtacks, OK, I can kind of see that. Sting put the tacks down, Abyss chokeslammed him, the tacks 'just happened' to be in the way. I can see that argument, the argument a James Mitchell might have made at the time. But come on. How can you not be DQ'd for HANGING A MAN UPSIDE DOWN AND HITTING HIM WITH A CHAIR but be DQ'd for shoving a ref harshly? That makes absolutely no sense in my book. If it's no DQ, it's no DQ. If it's not no DQ and you're dead set on having Abyss win by DQ, have him win by it the first time Sting breaks the rules. Anyone with me on this?

Just seen this match, due to the timelag of seeing it over here. And seriously, I've no idea what was going on. The suspense wasn't helped by a commercial halfway through (the Wrestling Channel has adverts rather than showing the whole PPV unbroken) for the next TNA PPV that hinted Angle won, but still... WHY have Angle beat Joe and end the streak? It's pointless! Angle's just come in and beaten the new World Champion clean (and don't get me started on Abyss's "win") and then broken the 18-month-or-whatever-it-was undefeated streak of Joe. TNA have just basically held up their hands and said "yes, OK, someone coming out of WWE owns our entire fed, we're shit in comparison". Apart from the whole repercussion aspect of it, the match was... OK. However, the fact that Angle started bleeding so early made it pretty clear that he was winning, I felt. And I winced when he dropped Joe on the third German, he's been in two matches and he could have already broken someone's neck if the fall had been less kind.

I can no-show dying, if that's any help. Please tell me you didn't take two days off work specifically to write for the SWF. In one way, that's good. In another...argh (I've got Thursday off, but that's just how my shifts worked out). Finally, since I named you the Honky Tonk Man of the SWF, I think I need my own RL counterpart. I wondered about Triple H. However, sadly I think it's safe to say that I'm actually the SWF's Jeff Jarrett.

Some elements of this game I like a LOT. The Ultimate Control moves are awesome, I think the gameplay works pretty well as well (it makes sense to have the lower strength grapple moves easier to do and your opponent needs to be softened up to hit the harder ones). Create an entrance kicks all sorts of arse, especially as you can time the pyro to perfection. My guy comes out with the 'fan favourite' entrance (to Rise Against, one of my favourite bands is in the game, that rocks), spreads his arms and BANG! I can set Booker T's pyro off at exactly the right moment. Then he walks through silhouetted against the flame. You can't tell me that's not cool. HOWEVER, it really REALLY fucks me off that Super Crazy can't fucking kick Trevor Murdoch. Where's the sense in that? Oh yeah, and don't get me started on the lack of moves in the CAW section. If they'd fix those two things I'd be happy with this game. As it is, considering I mainly enjoy the CAW system... I may revert to 06.

Yeah, the awards... I was going to do them, then went on holiday, then got ill, then my back gave out and I was paralysed for a few days, then i realised that I wanted to get the links for all the promos and the shows and stuff and then... ...well, then to be honest I realised I really didn't have time/couldn't be bothered. Yes, there is a limit to my motivation where the fed is concerned. Sorry.
