He's dominant because he finds a way to maximise his strengths and minimise his weaknesses (i.e. avoids getting hit too many times, usually). However, I'd agree that he's not and has never been the "sympathetic beatdown" babyface, who takes an absolute shitkicking but still somehow pulls the match out. He was always the arrogant heel who would prove his opponents wrong by just being simply better rather than cheating, and these days is as close to a badass face as someone with his low strength and vitality can be. Then again, I've never done weak characters. They normally never back down from a fight, even if their abilites are lacking in some areas (I mean, Amy is NOT a good wrestler, at all, or even all that quick - she's just mental and hits fairly hard). TORU, who you liked best, was the biggest example of this - he couldn't mat wrestle that well, but his strikes were nasty, he had power and toughness AND was quick. However, he's also the only one of my characters you've beaten one-on-one, so maybe that's why you like him I miss TORU. Much as Toxxic is my most developed character, TORU was smashy fun.

    SWF Lockdown 9-6-2006

Wait, we've stolen something from an indy fed? Goddamn you Landon, I at least hoped that abomination of a name was original in wrestling.

    Next question:

This is a hard one, because mostly I face no-shows. Landon obviously beat me once, but on reflection my match wasn't a good match - it was probably a fairly realistic match, but not a good one (neither man could get any momentum because they'd prepared for each other so well - probably realistic, but not good to read). I thought I turned in a good match against Danny, but lost out on that one - however, I'd like to have one more go at him with Toxxic as a face and see how that works out. Facing Tom in 2004 obviously had me shitting bricks, but he no-showed. Overall, I'd say that person who recently most gave me pause to think "shiiiiiit" was Bruce for Amy vs Bruce, Boiler Room Brawl. I had to work REALLY hard on that to make it at all feasible for Amy to last as long as she did before I could justify Sean Davis coming in to save her.

Ghost Machine 3.0, even more so. Although for ones that competed in actual competitive matches then yes, GM2.0 takes it.

Thank you WC, although I'm surprised that you peg Toxx as easy to write - maybe in this incarnation, but before I remember some real difficulties you were having with writing a "non-cheating heel with a glass jaw" (or some similar description) as you found you couldn't get the match dynamics right.

Yeah, 'capitalized'. You crazy Yanks and your 'z's where 's's should be. I bet you 'realize' things as well, eh? *calls on Zed for backup on correct spellings*

Yeah, grammar like the fact that when talking about Michael Stephens, something that belongs to him is "Stephens'", not "Stephen's" I may make comments of some sort, but I'm going back to see the parents and won't be back til Tuesday.

    SWF Lockdown 9-6-2006

I'd like to note that for official ring introductions, myself and Landon are known as 'The Galacticos'. Everyone else ever, including the commentators and Landon himself, will still refer to us as Two Skinny White Guys.

    PROMO: Violence is the Answer

I still reckon your promos and writing in general would be better if you weren't using verbs that didn't make much sense. "purses the sound waves" is a TRULY odd way to put it. Yes, someone's voice makes vibrations in the air, and yes, to 'purse' can be to bend such as pursing your lips. But soundwaves come from when the air is already bent (or 'pursed', if we want to use your words) so further 'pursing' is not necessary. Cross is a melodramatic character, and i accept that. However, I think you need to work on making the rest of your language a bit simpler and, to be honest, not try and use words that you don't really understand the correct use of. That way, even if Cross does sound a little odd his speech will at least be distinct from the descriptive writing around it. Regarding the promo itself, it's fine as a teaser but doesn't say a great deal except that Cross is still planning to be violent (which to be fair, we could probably work out anyway).

Smackdown Spoilers for the 9/1 Airing

Doesn't Regal announce Booker anymore? When did that change? I'm sure he was doing it only a couple of weeks ago. If it has changed it's good, because for all the fact that the WWE will never push him and he's surely only got a few years left, I'd rather see Regal as an arsey British bastard than a bootlicking British yes-man.

Don't forget TKO. We had the longest reign I believe, even if we did fuck all with the belts because I was busy putting J3 over in singles matches.

Well, yeah. It's a replay of what happens, so they basically air the match that we 'missed'.

I hate to say it, but he's got a point. However, I do have a small idea of my own on those areas, so we'll see how that works out.
