  1. Personally, Benoit proving that he could beat Orlando Jordan quicker than he could drink a cup of coffee had me laughing.

    Christian Cage / WWE

Tomko CAN work the mic. His segments with Christian in TNA were great, where Christian (and AJ, and later Angle) would be a bit overblown while Tomko would be the cynical world-weary guy. He can be quite subtle in that sort of characterisation, honestly.

The whole state? That's impressive. Does he admit any possibility that anyone in the state might not? Like, that there may somewhere be a small group of people who share his (repugnant) views and are doing 'The Lord's Work'? I mean, I'd really like to see the TN branch of God Hates Fags getting all uppity because Phelps says they're going to hell just because they live in a certain area. Seriously though. I can understand him saying the lawmakers will rot in hell because they don't allow gays to be stoned to death or something, or that the populace in general are sinners because they voted those people in, but just putting a blanket To Hell over everyone in the state, whether they share his views or not, just doesn't make sense. OK, I know Phelps doesn't make sense at all. But that's just, WAY out there. Also, I agree with Edwin. How many conversational topics do they have that doesn't revert to gays?

    TNA Impact Discussion 11/20/08

While the 'ref becomes wrestler' thing is interesting, and at least Cornette has acknowledged his wrestling past now so it doesn't look like a vaguely buff ref just happens to be able to smack the shit out of the X-Division Champion, can anyone give me a reason that stands up to even the remotest amount of kayfabe why Shane keeps getting Bashir's matches? Surely, any modicum of sense would suggest they should keep the two men apart.

Returning to do what? Look rather like Angle, hit people with kendo sticks and have one fairly bad attempt at a MMA match with a wrestler who should have been doing something far more entertaining somewhere else?

    Smackdown vs. Raw 2009: News/screens

Yeah, the whole idea of Rey not being able to land pretty much any strike or running strike on Trevor Freakin' Murdoch was kinda stupid in my opinion. And it really REALLY skewed the game towards the 'big is better' mentality of the WWE in real life.

So, how should I fuck with these guys. I read that as 'he gave good head'. Honest.

I need to vent about Sarah Palin.

That picture makes it look like Obama was casually strolling along the beach and then suddenly got hit by a drive-by bukkaki-ing. Which might not be out of the realms of possibility, given the reaction of some people. Just to clarify, I'm very happy Obama won, as it means your country is now far less likely to drag mine into a Third World War. All I need now is a leader who someone actually fucking elected, and things might look slightly positive for once.

Why can't you face the guys? Is that because you only get to wrestle other Divas?

What Would Be Your Theme/Entrance Music?

Guilty of e-fedding. At The Smartmarks Wrestling Federation, down the bottom. Had a couple of characters, but one main one - Toxxic, a straight-edge goth/punk type who veered between being clean-cut face and nasty, nasty heel with a raging inferiority complex, but never ever cheated (because he had to be better than you LEGALLY, due to the inferiority complex). First face run: 'We Still Kill The Old Way' by Lostprophets. Heel theme: 'Rookie' by Boy Sets Fire. Used partially because he won the World Title in his rookie year, and wanted to remind everyone of the fact constantly. It later became his face theme too, when he returned. Second heel turn theme: 'The Gush' by Raging Speedhorn. By this time he'd lost a lot of his inferiority complex and was simply a swaggering arsehole who knew he was better than everyone else, and the slower beat fits that. This is an awesome song, and the one I would use personally. It's on YouTube. Honorable mention: Toxxic led two incarnations of a heel stable called Revolution Zero. Their second theme was 'Know Your Enemy' by Rage Against The Machine. My other main character was one-half of a Japanese tag team (TKO - The TORU KOJI Organisation), and they come out to 'Tribe' by Mad Capsule Markets. Because it's Japanese industrial-metal-stuff.

There are nuggets amidst the crap, but there's a lot of crap. Unfortunately the MEM vs TNA Originals programme has now pretty much subsumed the nuggets into the crap.

Main Event Mafia vs The TNA Frontline

My favourite Steiner quote was when he responded to a question with 'Are you on crack?' We laughed so hard we missed the rest of the promo and had to rewind it. Pure, pure random abuse from Scotty.

Is it wrong that's probably decided that I get a PS3 instead of an Xbox? Or rather than, even though the PS3 seems to have better features, I was willing to get an Xbox instead if I couldn't upload music for entrance themes on the PS3? Don't answer that.

Can anyone tell me whether you can upload music to use as entrance themes on the PS3, or is that only on the Xbox?

workers who get called great but you disagree

Seconded. Talk about formulaic. Angle's heel matches for the past five years can be roughly described thusly: Start match. Angle gets 'surprisingly' pwned by face with matwork. Angle gets frustrated, rolls out to floor, paces around, face chases him around the ring, back in, Angle stomps to take over. Angel pwns face with matwork now they're hurt, going 'wooo' and so forth. Selection of big moves, including those fucking rolling Germans. Go for Angle slam, countered into armdrag. Go for anklelock, gets escaped from. Goes for anklelock again, face counters into their own submission finisher (if they have one) or their own anklelock (if they don't), which is somehow just as effective as Angle's and which he can't escape from for a good twenty seconds. Back and forth, Angle Slam for a close two. At this point if Angle is winning the match you either have him finally get the anklelock with the full heel hook (begging the question why he didn't do that in the first place) or you get some sort of distraction which allows Angle to usually hit a low blow and then the Angle Slam for the win. Insert unlikely and probably botched high-risk move if the payday justifies it.

I was starting to get interested in MMA, and the fact that Brock came in made me more interested. But it's not like I only watch the cards with Brock on. I also readily admit that I know fuck all, although this doesn't prevent me from mocking someone who thinks they do in my sig (hi Spike).

Your post irritates me. If Toxxic's post was a Backdrop Driver, this guy just no sold it~! And because it's Puro it's not business exposing in anyway at all whatsoever and is infact SUPERKEWL~! *tags out to KC, although since we're not talking about North American wrestling it isn't a hot tag*
  19. Let's give it a chance, see what happens. This could work really well, or it could be a disaster. Either way, we'll learn from it. Either way, I guarantee it'll be more successful than the Clusterfuck.

Misawa bores me, but that's probably because I hate seeing matches involving people being hit repeatedly in the head, yelling and then repeatedly hitting the other person in the head. It's purely subjective, and granted everything above counts for him being a great SUCCESS, but I have yet to see a Misawa match I'd rate much higher than 'not bad', whether it be mid-90s stuff or more modern NOAH. I guess I just don't get the style. Kobashi irritates me even more, though.

    WWE SmackDown - November 14, 2008

That's big in the emo-rock scene. Lots of kids wear hankies or something coming out of their back pocket. Not in any of the rock clubs I've been to in the last few years. Having your trousers halfway down your legs and your boxers pulled up high, yes. Hankies in back pockets, no. Only seen that, once, at a gay club. Oh, and Raven.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sZrZAVoGJuo I like it simply because, mixed deep in there, is Burchill's old pirate theme.

Bobby Lashley makes MMA debut on December 13th...

255 sounds big - I saw a picture of him off the roids and he looked about 220, but maybe he's bulked right up again, only naturally this time...

    UFC 91: Couture vs Lesnar

From what it looked to me, when he was pummelling Randy on the ground he was just looking at the ref going "how long do I have to keep hitting him until you call this?" I think he probably COULD have killed him, but he knew Randy wasn't going anywhere and just wanted to keep doing enough to get the decision. Granted I know slightly less than fuck all about MMA, so I could WELL be wrong...
