The OAO Official SWF 2006 Party Birthday Thread

I second that. Happy Birthday to the sadly absent Hardcore Queen. Chat isn't the same without her occasional appearances. Also, happy birthday to Marcus Ward. -

"innit" does indeed stand for "isn't it", but that still doesn't make any sense if you shove it at the end of the sentence. Another phrase from round here (although not specifically Nottingham) is 'Naaman,' (no, man!) used to indicate that you think the other speaker is mistaken. A guy I used to work with wanted to start a superhero comic strip with NaaMan and his sidekick Innit. I think it could be a big hit with the kids. -
For reference, in his last appearances Mak was heel and involved in a feud with Danny Williams. Prior to that he was face, but in his comeback promo (where he came into Toxxic's dressing room after Toxx lost the World Title to Landon) he mentioned that he'd been watching from the skyboxes with Suicide King, so presumably they get on OK. I'd be inclined to think that for commentary purposes Mak will disagree with King not because he's a face and King's heel, but because he thinks he's right and King's wrong. Also, King probably won't insult him as much. But that's just my interpretation off one line that Mak put in a promo once

I love the fact that no matter how long Toxxic's been gone he still gets mentioned. Not just by Landon this time, but now in The Saga Of Zyon as well. Incidentally Zyon, after that last paragraph I think you should start writing for Marvel. In other news, J3 brings the tag goodness and wins himself another title (with the option for another shot on Smarkdown, the greedy little beggar). Jimmy has a bodyguard! Why does someone with Vitality 9 need a bodyguard! Flesher brings the awesome with an SWF cover for why Ghost Machine 2.0 spoke so oddly in Akira's CW title defence the other day. Zyon nearly writes Amy correctly, good effort my friend! But Christ, what a show. Everyone needs to do a promo for Smarkdown now, just to keep it going.

Don't look at me. It's a Nottingham thing, and although I live here, I wasn't born here. To be fair, it's generally used at the end of a sentence in a similar way to 'do you understand' or perhaps 'have you comprehended what I've said, good sir?' "So what it is, right, is I'm walkin' down the road and this fuckin' goth 'e starts lookin' at me, right, an' I go over an' smash 'is fuckin' face in, innit?" Don't look at me that way. I didn't ask to share the country with people like that. -

He can come back and kick the crap out of Amy. It's not like she has a character to write badly anyway "I like beer! I'm going to hit you! Innit!" -

Hey, I'm not saying that I'm not being completely unreasonable about this. I probably am. I just can't work out how you thought that was a good portrayal of my character. Or how when he was stringently non-cheating for all of his mega-heel run, considering hitting someone with a chair is a signal of a FACE turn. That being said you should still come back, although I don't know whether Williams has run his natural course. Even if I have issues with how you portrayed me in that one match you're still a damn good writer and a valuable asset to the fed (if perhaps not so much in the promo department but come on, we can't all be Muzz or Flesher). Oh, and just to clear one thing up, every time I called the Axe Bomber a 'glorified clothesline' I WAS kidding. -

Janus: the first person to ever beat me was Clark in my second match. TNT: In my match against Danny he gave Toxxic's ribs a pasting (his ribs and back and been SEVERELY worked over by Scott Pretzler the previous show) and then had me kip-up and (as I see) no-sell it. Toxxic then did a series of Billy Kidman-esque generic cruiserweight moves before contemplating hitting Danny with a chair and deciding against it before Danny hit an Axe Bomber out of nowhere for the win. Thing is, Toxxic was ALL about his flashy, high-impact signature offence, balanced by his fragility. He wouldn't be kipping up if his ribs and back were in agony. I had ten signature moves - Danny didn't use a single one, just a couple of ranas and moonsaults. Toxxic DIDN'T CHEAT, so the idea of him contemplating hitting Danny with a chair for the win, even if he didn't do it, was ludicrous. It would never have crossed his mind at that stage of his career. And as for the Axe Bomber - I have no problem with that as a finisher from someone as strong as Danny. What I objected to is that it was written as an out-of-nowhere MurderDeathKill move following NO work on the head whatsoever. I'm still of the school of thought that you can have 'hit-it-and-it's-OVER' finishers that require the opponent to be softened up to hit them (ie: Demonstar), or 'out-of-nowhere' finishers that need a bit of work prior to make sure they do the job (Sweet Chin Music, LARIATOOOOO~!), but having one that's both is just too much. That was my problem with Danny's match. -

Yup, that was him. Poor guy. Looks like Eminem, you know. -
I'd like to point out that J3 did use the 'Alamodome collapsing onto IL and then pinning the rubble' spot. It just lost. Which has to be one of the greatest travesties in this federation's history.

Positive: Kinda difficult. I think actually, the biggest thing for me was winning the Hardcore Gamers Title from Aecas at From The Fire '04 when no-one gave rookie Toxxic a chance in hell. I've won bigger things since then, but my first ICTV win and the 2nd and 3rd World Title wins were against no-shows, and my 1st World Title win only happened because Janus no-showed and although Tom wrote he didn't actually follow the (rather complicated) rules of the match and just wrote a regular Triple Threat. Most of my best initial wins have come against no-shows, as my sig will tell you (that's not to say I'm not proud of some of my defences, mind you). Negative: Losing the World Title to Johnny. Against Landon I accepted it because my match, while perhaps a more realistic example of two atheletes who had prepared for each other, lacked much in the way of drama. Against Ejiro, he had the whole storyline with him on the way in and although i'd have liked to have won, at least it made booking sense for him to walk away with it. Against Johnny though... I read his match, I read my match, and I couldn't tell any difference in terms of quality except that he'd directly gone against my stats and had me kick out of a finisher. Oh, and Danny last year. It shouldn't, but it REALLY fucking bugs me. Every time I think I've got over it I remember what a complete fucking tool he made Toxxic look, and still won. -

Happy 33rd to the Slammer. You're the right age to die, if you're Jesus. If not, have a good year. -
Well, I apologise first of all for a lack of showage in the tag match. Coyote seemed to eager to get stats out and stuff that I was assuming he'd at least have something in, and I'm afraid I left IL to do our match as I was working until 8pm every evening this week, feeling ill and just didn't have any time whatsoever to help him out. Apart from that... Nice opening promo from Wes, I really like Muzz's way of writing not only him, but also the rest of the prose as well. And the 're-entering the ring to accept the title' thing was great. I'm not commenting on the song though. J3 vs Cross - poor, poor David Cross to come up against Johnson in his second match back. JJ managed to cram so much fucking action into 4000 words it was unbelievable, and I'm still flabberghasted at how he never managed to get the World Title of ELM. We'd all best hope he stays in the undercard for now or a few people might be looking unstable on their title belts. Landon - you've graduated from the school on how to write Amy Stephens. Without Nottingham girls to listen to for references I congratulate you on your ability to create realistic dialogue (it's also damned funny how it's Landon holding her back...) And Hawke is Davenport's challenger, which strikes me as an excellent idea. The last thing any of us wanted to see was another mammoth Jay Hawke midcard reign. It's the top or bust for the Dean of Professional Wrestling! Bruce is still champ - is anyone surprised by this point? Zyon defeats Ghost Machine 2.0, and that earns a large amount of applause from me. I don't know if GM2 wrote, but Zyon's match looks great anyway (and he's even got the entrance/index card thing down). And Akira beats out Spike to retain the Cruiserweight Title - that's a couple of impressive title defences under his belt, but will HE be able to withstand the wrath that is Ghost Machine 2.0? Only time will tell...

Fury, do you have any problems with hitting girls? I hope not, for your sake. We should have had Andrea Montgomery as guest commentator, this is her hometown after all. And may I just say that Wes vs Hawke = MONEY.
-
Blank : I think Annie indeed was guest commentator - that completely slipped my mind. I used her to take the piss out of Flesher as I recall, which was even more amusing due to the fact that she kept repeatedly losing to him the year before.

If it heals that'll probably help too. We've already got a heel. And in fact, you probably have two yourself. But will your heels heal? *shuts up now* -
That might help too.

Crimson Skull is Sly. He has stats in the old thread. Or, alternatively, here: Wrestlers Name: The Crimson Skull Height: 6' 4" Weight: 285 lbs Hometown: Original - Parts Unknown, Current - Kiev, Ukraine (can be introduced as from parts unknown, now residing in Kiev, Ukraine if you wish) Age: Unknown Face/Heel: Heel, but his comedic actions could probably get face pops... Stable: none Ring Escort: Heff, his EVIL~! assistant. Weapon(s): Any Quote: Looks: His dark hair flows down from the sides and the back of his head. Covering his face is a crimson mask that covers from slightly above his eyes to down to the tip of his nose and around his face. The only thing showing is his mouth. A red skull is centered on the chest of his spandex black shirt, a red cape hangs behind him. He wears a silver belt and black spandex pants. He’s stacked, too. Think of him as every body builder you’ve ever seen, times two. Or maybe one and a half. Intimidating big. Ring Entrance: *Bang* An eruption of sparks flies up from the front of the entrance stage. Out from behind the curtain runs out six women wearing gold, glittering shorts and tank tops. "Everybody dance now!” They begin to freestyle dance, bump and grind, and everything else you can think of as “Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now!)” by C & C Music Factory blares over the P.A. system. The Crimson Skull emerges from the back, flanked by his assistant Heff, and walks through the madness on his way down towards the ring. Stats: ¯¯¯¯¯ Strength: 9 Speed: 2 Vitality: 4 Charisma: 5 Style: Big Man, Brawler. He was never trained to be a wrestler… so… he wrestles like that. Signature moves: - Spear~! - Belly to Belly Suplex - DDT - Strong Spinebuster (shake the ring strong) - Double Hand Toss over the top rope - Corner Splash - Big Boot - Bear Hug Common moves: - Punch - Kick - Irish Whip - Headlock - Heart Punch - Kidney Punch - Discuss Double Axehandle - Single or Double Handed Choke Toss, depending on opponent’s weight - Clothesline - Leg Drop - Elbow Drop - Cheating Moves (Low Blows, Eye Pokes, Etc.) Rare moves: - Chokeslam - Frogsplash - Collapse Piledriver - Top Rope Leg Drop Finishers: - Crimson Splash (A top rope splash that sends 285 pounds of flesh falling on you. This is his main finisher, allowing that he can put you down for long enough to climb the turnbuckles.) - Pop Your Skull! (An intense choke hold, named such for the way it looks like your skull is about to pop out. This is easily broken just like any other choke hold, but he’ll defiantly take advantage of it if he ever has a chance.) Notes: He’s a super villain. While he takes himself seriously enough, it’s hard to believe that the rest of the world could ever.

"playing sausage factory"? ...remind me to never let you cook me breakfast. -
I'm aware that i'm saying this as a member of a fictional wrestling federation, but you all need to get out more.
-
I don't know what you're talking about.
-
Bruce, considering the shit you've posted under the guise of "don't take anything this poster says seriously" I think you should be able to take a little jibe yourself now and again.
-
I'm aware that most people here think this 'news' is bullshit, but have Brown and Styles really signed with the WWE? I only ask because no-one's gone either 'what? That's not true!' or 'yeah we knew this'.
